Cleaning up Peeve's Mess

Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke / USS Tranquility / USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 1400Hrs - May 7th, 2391

After Dreamcrusher had towed Roanoke back to the colony, Zuko then called Olmos, Teval and Jake to his ship to attempt to sort this out.

Teval was the first to come back, with some snow still stuck to his fur, thanks to Savo and Takov, he asked, "So whats the issue."

Zuko sighed as Jake and Olmos walked into the room, "Its a bad one."

Jake Yamaguchi sighed. "Okay.. gimme all the bad news all at once." he inquired as he recalled that three female members of his family were involved.

"We have a rogue hologram that jumped Dreamcrusher, to Roanoke, which created a polywater incident," Olmos opened none too happily.

Jake sighed as he facepalmed. "Crap.."

"Since I know little about this threat, I believe Captain Zuko may have a better idea of what we're dealing with," Olmos spoke as she deliberately threw Zuko under the bus.

Zuko sighed and began his briefing on peeves, "Believe me when I say this, but we have tried everything in our power to get rid of peeves the nasty hologram, but whomever wrote his program obviously knew what he was doing. Now I will go out and say this, Peeves has only ever pulled lightweight pranks before. I have never seen him do anything to threaten the ship, or even injure anyone. In the two months that we have had him, he has never inflicted any injury worse than a nosebleed."

"Peeves however, has proven himself extremely difficult to get rid of. We even once purged virtually every computer on the ship. That still didn't get rid of him. But he has never jumped to another ship before. We had been in contact with a lot of ships and starbases, and he never jumped ship until now. And yes, we have taken every precaution possible to prevent him from leaving, though he never made any attempt until now. For the most part though, his pranks have been pretty harmless. Throwing padds around, stealing peoples laundry, giving people wedgies, setting off the fire suppression system, shoving people into each other, that kind of thing."

"So it was polywater... Just not Zara's habits as the source," Olmos frowned and blushed. "My daughter was the cause."

Jake regarded Olmos. "With my wife helping her." he sighed quietly.

Zuko nodded, not really sure what they where referring too, " So anyway, how do we get on the ship without being affected ourselves."

Teval then mentioned," Well, we need someone whom is resistant to telepathy for that matter, and possibly a gas mask to protect against any drugs that might be in the air as well."

Jake paused. "My wife and I share a psionic connection..." he paused. "but I would be vulnerable to the gasses." he paused. "Is there anyone aboard the Roanoke who is not compromised?"

Teval looked at Jake, saying," Well, I know varkon wouldn't be affected. He is a brikar, and silicon based, so psyonics and drugs largely mean nothing to him."

"Alright... Well I can get close to my wife and deal with her..." she paused. "Nalla will be the issue.."

"I have a solution, but none of you would like it," Olmos sighed, for she never liked sedating Nalla.

After everyone paused, Teval simply replied," Well, whats the solution."

Yamaguchi sighed. "We need to somehow silence the issue at its point of origin." he sighed softly. "We need to sedate Nalla.... and Torilla."

Zuko then looked around the room, saying," and who is going to do the honors on that one. Its going to have to be someone whom is resistant to telepathy."

Yamaguchi paused as he held up a tricorder. "This will generate a psionic dampening field... It was something that Torilla and I came up with to help Lieutenant Furban relax so my wife could teach her how to use her abilities.." he paused. "I'm also able to handle my wife's psionic barrage but not for very long... but I can get in and deal with both women..." Jake paused a moment. "I created a device that can block out a psionic field, using a modified tricorder I can create basically a pisonic dead zone... its range is only five meters but its power cell should last long enough for me to get to my wife and Lieutenant Furban... and sedate them both." he explained. "Whoever goes should wear full biohazard gear..."

"I can touch Nalla without being affected," Olmos offered. "I don't think you can get to Nalla as she is right now without your hormones going haywire, no offence Jake. Even with that field up, those pheromones would still be in the room."

"I never said I wouldn't take precautions..." Jake responded. "I'll be wearing an environmental suit" he responded. "but we'll both go.."

Teval looked at both of them saying, "As soon as you two get on board, you may want to try and contact Varkon, get him to come and help you. Lets face it, I think that, especially you Jake, are overestimating your own ability to resist the effects."

"I don't need the gear," Olmos pushed aside. "I can touch my daughter with little effect."

"But what of Torilla?" Jake inquired. "You won't be immune to her..."

"I don't foresee a need to touch your wife," Olmos answered simply.

"Alright.." Jake answered evenly. "Anything else we should chat about before we get the ball rolling?"

"Not that I can think of, no," Olmos agreed.

"Alright... " Jake paused as he turned to Zuko. "This is your show Zuko. If you don't mind I'll watch the fireworks from your bridge?"

Zuko shrugged," Sure, we gotta keep watch in base the romulans decide to take advantage of the situation anyway."
