Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1000Hrs - May 4th, 2391

The two Romulan prisoners, a male officer and female, sat in the interrogation room in front of the table. The male had his hands bound behind his back. The female's hands are looked down on the table in front of her.

Commander Vasily Borodin was not wearing his uniform as he stood behind the male officer. "You will tell me how many ships were part of your group and their classifications. I also request the names of the ship's captains." he slowly smiled. "You will give me your entire fleets order of battle along with names of Captains and locations based from. Borodin asked in a rather soft voice as he came around the table and then sat down across from the Romulan female.

The Romulan officer smiled back at Borodin. "You are a fool to make such a request. As a prisoner, I am not obliged to give you that data and I refuse to do so voluntarily."

"And there is nothing I can do to change your mind?" Borodin coolly asked.

"You Star Fleet types are even more stupid than I thought." The officer commented. "Pakleds can run intellectual circles around you."

Borodin nodded his head as he smiled at the Romulan. "Very well, I will explain how this is going to work... " The Romulan was unimpressed and and gave the older male officer a dismissive look. "You see that medic over there?" Borodin indicated Tienn. "She is here for a reason."

"Your threats don't scare me." the male told him.

"I don't like making threats, they are messy and so imprecise." he shrugged. "It also doesn't get me what I want.. Besides, Your not the one I want anyway... she outranks you." Borodin stretched in a languid motion. "In the end... It don't really matter." he turned his head. "Ensign, may I?"

Tienn raised an eyebrow. "Sir?"

"Would you mind calling down to the kitchen and asking them to send me up a rack of ribs with a side of fries, I'm hungry..." he turned his head. "Do you two want anything to eat?." before turning back to Tienn. "Have them send up something for yourself as well..."

Tienn smiled. "I'm on it sir,. thanks."

"You will not poison me human.... " the Romulan male growled.

"Mmm... suit yourself then.. Personally, I'm hungry and we are gonna be here a while... so I might as well do this on a full stomach." Borodin answered. "Besides... why suffer needlessly."

"You do not frighten me human."

"You are clearly very young and very inexperienced if you think everything I say and do is a threat.." Borodin sighed. "Ensign, ask them if they have any Romulan drinks please... you have been most patient, let me know what the Chef says please?"

"Yessir." and with that Tienn stepped outside, leaving Borodin alone with the two Romulans. "Right.. where were we?"

"The second I get loose... I will tear your-" he stopped as he suddenly found the unknown human standing before him with a Phaser in hand. "Threaten me again... you won't make it down to the civilian authorities on Tarod Nine... because I will see to it, that you die screaming my name... now I'm going to sit down and enjoy my lunch.."

A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. Tienn answered it before receiving the food she had requested from the kitchen, she took a moment to dish out the orders while Borodin smiled. "Ahh. When was the last time you two ate?"

"I'll never tell you... human.."

"Seriously... It's an honest question... because as long as your in my care, I will reward you only if you cooperate.. If you do not then... I have other ways..."

The female sneered as the Romulan male sighed. "You're not going to torture us, Federation has no stomach for that.."

"Yep... fortunately... for me, that is..." Borodin then smiled as he sat down at the dinner table as he picked up his knife and fork. "I have other ways at my disposal." as he sighed before settling down to eat his meal, Tienn was sitting nearby as she too was eating her food.

Both Romulans tried to look at each other but they were seated just a little too awkwardly for it.

The Romulan male had been doing all of the talking up until now as he continued. "So.... you're not going to do anything with us?"

Borodin meanwhile simply ate his food, it was Tienn who spoke. "Shut up!" she responded in a dry tone that indicated she was not annoyed in the least. After about thirty minutes of the two eating their meal they finished. "I don't know about you... I'm considering asking the Chef for desert."

Tienn chuckled softly in response. "I'll make sure mine is hot and smells nice."

"Mmm... As much as I'd like to... We do have work to do." Borodin moved his plate off to one side as he lifted his large carry case onto the table, it was heavy and it landed with a loud clunk, it was outlined with metal rather then leather so it looked like it was designed to handle a lot of abuse. "This... is how it will go, I will ask questions.... and you will answer them, if you answer them to my satisfaction then I will ensure the District Attorney goes easy on you in terms of your punishment planetside."

"Wait.... so we're not being punished by you?" the female finally spoke up, her accent sounded almost warm and husky.

"You have committed no hostile actions while aboard this ship... But you have committed numerous actions against the planetside population... I suspect some might want to lynch you." he slowly smiled. "I'm inclined to let them with the way your friend's mouth works... You are fortunate that this is not a Klingon ship... They know how to deal with people like you."

The male sneered as Borodin produced a rather sizeable container of green looking goo. "Well this will cure your attitude."

The Romulan sneered, trying to brazen it out. "Sure... you gonna inject me with truth drugs?"

"No... I'm going to infect her... With this.." Borodin responded. "Would you like to know what this is?"

The Romulan male blinked. "Sure... I guess.."

"This is a modified strain of the Terothka virus... It will cause all of the usual lovely stuff the normal virus does... except it does it in a tenth of the time... and as a result, it has a one in ten chance of killing you" he indicated the male "and a one in five chance of killing her." he plucked a hypo before drawing six doses of the virus, he then placed the vial back in his kit and he placed the hypo on the table. "That by the way... is if I inject her once... I have six doses, more then enough to kill you both..." he then smiled. "The lovely Ensign is here to make sure that you do not die on me... and by the way, I do have the cure for this Chimera virus.. So... Shall we begin?"

The female licked her lips as she looked down at the shackles, chaining her to the table. "I don't want to die.."

"Then give me what I want... I want the names of your ships, your captains and where you are homeported." he explained. "Give me all that and I will speak to the District Attorney planetside and I'll tell him what a good pair of Romulans you were,..."

"Y-you still don't scare me..." the Romulan male's facade was starting to crack.

"They shouldn't." Borodin replied. "You not the one who is going to get hurt by this..." Borodin smiled.

The Romulan stopped as he turned to the female, while Borodin sighed softly before quickly checked his hypo. He injected her, the sound of the hypo being discharged was clear to all.

"You'd kill us both... for information..?" the male was shocked.

"You misunderstand me, I had hoped to simply have you give it freely.... but you're attitude left me little choice really... The virus will start taking effect shortly... " as Borodin gently lifted her face with his hand. "Such a pretty face... wouldn't you agree?"

"Uhhhh.." The male Romulan paused, unsure if this was a question

Borodin sighed. "Oh dear god. Really... its a simple question.." before he shrugged. "Well... it is of no matter... your friend here will be dead in two hours."

"You piece of Ferengi excrement!" the officer yelled. He then put his head on the table and started to sobbing. "Very well. I'll write it down." he stated in a defeated voice.

Borodin silently slid the PADD over and the officer, face full of tears, started to enter data as Borodin had not expected that tactic to work, which was why he had only used a placebo in place of a real virus. the liquid was only colored water and nothing else. His lie and the various falsehoods he had used were colorful and rather extreme but in the end, it had worked and that was what Borodin had counted on. "Take your time... and ensure there are no mistakes... I can forgive those but not foolish errors in judgment which... will cost your friend here, her life."

The Romulan sighed as he began jotting down notes, Borodin waited patiently as the man finished before he slid the PADD across towards Borodin.

Borodin slowly lifted it. "Is this complete?" he inquired softly. "I'm not going to come back here and have to ask you.... am I?" he inquired.

"No..." the Romulan growled.

"Alright... I'll be back." and with that, he turned and walked out the door.

Tienn smiled. "I guess it's just you and me... handsome."

"You are ugly, Human."

Tienn chuckled. "Now, that's not a nice thing to say to a lady... and... notice the nose..." she sighed. "I am not human.."
