Mission: Mission 32: Tales of Tarod
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1500Hrs - April 26th, 2391

Lt Commander Siaxx Dvald sighed softly as she stood in the transporter room as she along with the rest of the away team was waiting, when suddenly the door opened and in walked Commander Yamaguchi, a wide grin on her face. "Oh... I thought the away team's departure was at fifteen hundred." it was a poor excuse.

"No Torilla it was at fourteen thirty." Siaxx answered with a soft sigh.

Yamaguchi turned to regard Tane as she came through the door a few moments after she did.

Tane was rather overly joyous for reasons unknown and had a bounce in her step as she sidled up to Torilla.

"You behave yourself down there, XO." Zara's eyes were a bit glassy form being slightly medicated, but she was very well aware still of things about her.

Yamaguchi regarded the smaller woman, she arched an eyebrow as she had a curious look on her face. "I will try... no promises however."

"Teval coming with you? Or is he staying here with me?" Zara asked out of curiosity.

"No. he's going to be looking after the Exec stuff while I'm gone." Torilla answered.

"Ah. Bummer." Zara shrugged. "Still... I don't have to do the diplomatic shit. So that naturally puts me in a great mood."

Yamaguchi regarded the smaller woman. "I'll try not to take that personally." she responded. "Anything I need to know before I go down there?"

"They are thinking short-term relief. We want to give them long-term relief by getting their people to mobilize and form a military structure," Zara began. "Not a lot of peaceful worlds colonized on the Federation's ideals sees that point of view. So you might find resistance there."

Yamaguchi regarded the smaller woman. "Its might be better if.... you came with.."

"I don't do well with talking to admiralty. Do you honestly think this will fare well?" Zara asked very soberly, despite her semi-glassy eyes.

Siaxx slowly blinked her eyes. "This should be interesting..."

Yamaguchi nodded. "Who all is going?" she inquired. "And what exactly am I offering to these people... they are likely going to treat me like shit because they've been ignored for so long."

"Engineers. Ra'Vak will be on the ground to oversee a holographic scan of the city. Then he'll retreat back here, where we'll start designing a fortified boarder around the city." Zara then went on to say, "We'll also need to offer to train volunteers, as a starting point for their Colony Defense Force... So Daisy could possibly go too."

Yamaguchi tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Rohr-McKnight." she paused. "you're presence is requested in transporter room two for away party duty, come dressed to impress."

Daisy arrived a short time later in field fatigues and with a rucksack at the transporter room. "Good thing I'm still in the early stages of being preggars." She told the officers present.

Yamaguchi's smile brightened considerably. "How is your little one doing at present?" the older woman inquired.

"Doing well, thank you." Daisy replied to Yamaguchi. "Ready to go."

"Alright... Anything else we need to talk about before we get the ball rolling?." Yamaguchi inquired.

"I don't think so." Daisy replied. "We need to go planetside and see what defenses the colonists have. I'm sure later on we'll beam down marine NCOs to help in the training."

"Is that everyone, XO?" Zara asked to Torilla.

"I believe so." Torilla answered. "Lets see... Siaxx... Daisy... and me... yes, thats my team... Ra'Vak and his crew should also be ready to go." she paused as she tapped her combadge. Yamaguchi to Ra'Vak. "Sitrep?"

Ra'Vak, meanwhile, was tending to yet another issue when he got the call. So he answered," Lieutenant Mckinley will be leading the engineering team, I have yet another issue to deal with here."

"You guys have fun," Zara smiled brightly. "I'll see about getting some shore leave for you guys on rotations, if their ski resorts looks as cool as they are."

Yamaguchi nodded. "Sounds good Ra'Vak..." she paused before she turned back to Zara. "Skiing... could be interesting.."

"Hopefully," Zara agreed. "Let me know if you need me. I'll beam down immediately. Promise."

"Alright.." Yamaguchi turned and went onto the pad. "Everyone set?"

Siaxx simply nodded her small head. "Yep." was her simple answer, rather then give the larger woman a snippy answer or anything else, she gave a simple answer.

Meanwhile over on the Dreamcrusher Zuko looked at his own landing party that was going down. Telios was leading the mission, supported by Celeste Yamaguchi, Noq't son of Gedlr, and Tienn Nerra, as well as numerous engineers.

Zuko looked at Telios saying," Well guys, have fun down on the planet, I hear there is snow on the ground so have fun."

Telios smiled. "Skiing, sounds great.... I've never had sex in the snow.."

"I'm not sure why we would enjoy discomfort." Noq't replied. "Federation humor still escapes me."

Telios smiled as she regarded the Klingon. "The idea of a pacifist Klingon escapes me so... we're even." as she regarded him. "You intrested."

"The idea of a pacifist Klingon escapes the entire Klingon Empire." Noq't replied. "That's why I'm here."

Zuko simply gave a small smile, " Hey personally I find it refreshing."

"I'd wished my fellow Klingons had your opinion, especially before they decided to use me to calibrate their painsticks." Noq't told him.

Zuko relied a bit incredulously, " Um, yeah, that doesn't sound fun."

"The Klingon Empire are full of morons." Wintersnow responded. "Wait.... did I say that out loud....?" she inquired with a grin.

Celeste Yamaguchi sighed softly. "Telios.... you need to get laid.."

"I do.. yes." she looked around. "I miss Jake Ramirez, he was... talented."

"Oh!" Hobbs stated as she her face showed she just had an epiphany. "I guess I've just discovered why he was always fatigued."

Wintersnow chuckled softly. "Well... he was amazing at times.." as she regarded Hobbs. "He kept me up most nights.." she sighed. "I am going to miss him."
