The Rock is Talking

Mission: Mission 31: The Ashes of Eden
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1000Hrs - March 25th, 2391

Teval walked into the tower on the flight deck with his 3 kids and Hakaya's two, with Hakaya following, and first thing he saw was Saki, already up in the tower, with Anastasia. Teval distinctly noticed Varkon standing in the corner not moving.

Saki was chatting with a woman she didn't know. "This is an interesting place you have here.." she turned. "Oh. hey Teval. Whats with the decoration?" she indicated the large statue-like being in the corner.

Teal looked at Varkon, realizing what he was doing, then looked back at Saki, saying," I dunno, never seen it before," while Kiyuo started investigating with Takov.

Saki raised an eyebrow as she went over to the massive statue with the two Kurokuri younglings. "Interesting." she mewled. "What is this thing..?"

Suddenly, Varkon turned his head slowly, but very noticeably, and almost whispering, said, "Boo."

Saki screamed loudly as she drew her dagger, she then quickly drove it at the beast before turning, then running away as fast as her legs would carry her. "Shiiieeetttt!!!!" as she screamed her heart out, racing back into the ship, she looked left then right then she ran down the hallway.

She skidded to a stop before pulling the cover off of the Jeffres tube climbing in and then pulling the cover back onto the wall behind her, she turned and started crawling, feeling that she was not safe yet.

Varkon looked at the fallen dagger, before picking it up, noticing that the tip of the blade was bent slightly, saying, "Well that went well."

Kiyuo pointed at Varkon, terrified herself," Um, Uh, Uh, Takov, the rock is talking, the rock is talking!."

Teval meanwhile, simply facepalmed, hearing that Savo was quietly giggling in the background, moved to comfort Takov and Kiyuo. "Relax, Varkon is a Brikar, they have rock like skin."

Meanwhile Rachael was listening to something Phoenix was saying., her head snapped around as she shot to her feet. "Shit!" she turned and ran out the door. "Gotta go!"

Meanwhile Saki moved forward as she sought a way out of these tunnels. "Shit!" she hissed. "Mommy!" she wailed loudly, her voice echoed off the walls, floor and ceiling as she moved forward.

Rachael meanwhile walked into the tower. "Guys... someone tell me what happened?"

Hakaya was the first to notice Rachael, saying," Um, yeah, Varkon was standing really still, Saki went and poked him, then he moved, and she promptly freaked out, tried to stab him, then ran."

Rachael facepalmed. "Shit!" she muttered. "How bad was it?, I felt her distress across the other side of the pod."

Teval shook his head, "She ran pretty fast, I don't have a clue where she went."

Rachael sighed. "Alright... I'd best be going.." she looked at Varkon. "Any chances I could have her knife back?" she inquired.

Varkon simply handed it to her, saying," The blade tip did get bent a little though."

"Alright.. " Rachael responded. "I'm sorry about her though..." she sighed. "I had no idea kids could be so exhausting."

Teval looked at Takov, Nuyari and Savo, all of whom gotten over their initial surprise of Varkon and where busy investigating him. Teval then looked back at Rachael saying, "Yeah, well at least you only have one."

Rachael raised an eyebrow. "Well... that's because I've not gotten around to having any new relationships yet.."

Teval looked back at his own children, saying," Well, that and your species doesn't have litters." He then went over and picked up Nuyari, and cradling her, walked back over to Rachael, while Nuyari purred contently. "But they are cute though."

"Aye, they are." Rachael responded as she ran her fingers over Nuyari's fur. "I'd bets get going.... gotta go find Saki... wherever she's gone to."

Teval noticed as Savo managed to climb on top of Varkon and was now perched on his shoulder, though Varkon didn't seem to mind.

With that Rachael turned and departed, she got out the door. "Computer, locate Saki Yamaguchi?"

"That person is unknown at this time."

Rachael sighed softly. "Idiot... She's not in the system yet." the taller woman sighed as she went out of the pod and into the ship proper. "She'll be in one of the Jeffries tubes..." she paused as she turned and went into a nearby turbolift. "deck 10."
