Mission: Mission 30: All Thats Left
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0930Hrs - March 22nd, 2391

Ensign Elizabeth Yamaguchi followed Phoenix Sullivan down the hall at a respectful distance as she knew where Aryssa was going, she was heading for the only decent home she'd had since coming aboard. In this case it was Elizabeth's mothers quarters.

She knew that this was going to end badly and sure enough it did as Phoenix had caught up to Aryssa and now the two were having an argument.

"Aryssa..." Phoenix called fairly respectfully. "I know you're upset."

"Rightly so," Aryssa interjected. "You say you aint a good parent an' it looks like you've found a way ta do that."

"No I haven'," Phoenix corrected fairly calmly. "I had no choice but ta have 'em while we were down there an' I couldn' just let 'em go through that hell without someone ta comfort them."

"Wonderful," Aryssa spoke dryly. She was trying hard not to cry in front of her biological mother.

"What d'ya want me ta do, Aryssa?" Phoenix asked with a pained crack in her voice. "I try ta give ya space, an' ya hate me. I try ta spend time with ya, an' you want me ta leave you alone. So I wanna know right now, what it is ya want from me."

"I dunno anymore," Aryssa answered, and then roughly pushed Phoenix when her mother tried to hug her. "You aint Mom. Ya lost that tha moment ya got rid of me."

"Well then... Since you want nothin' ta do with me, an' can' seem ta find it in your heart ta at least try to fix this issue between us? I'm gonna go back to my fiancee," Phoenix admitted with tears going down her face.

When Phoenix turned to leave, she felt a harsh smack at the back of her head and turned around quickly to feel another punch to her jaw. That was it. She'd been patient and understanding, now Aryssa was just being abusive. Blood was in the water now and Phoenix had every intent to fight back.

Elizabeth had gotten there just as Aryssa had smacked Phoenix across the back of her head, her eyes went wide as she watched the fight go down but she stopped short of getting involved.

Another couple of people came down the hallway but Yamaguchi waved them off. "Go on guys... Nothing to see here.." she commented before she tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Security." she spoke with a soft voice. "I have a fight, Deck twelve, section fifteen.. Its Aryssa and Phoenix again.."

When Aryssa attempted to hit Phoenix again, the seasoned pilot deftly ducked and brought up her left fist hard in the kid's left cheek. Hard enough to knock Aryssa back into the nearest wall. The impact from using Phoenix's real hand was enough to leave the teen in the floor, dazed, unable to continue the fight.

"I know the routine," Phoenix noted very painfully, for as she removed her wings and prepared to surrender to an incoming security team lead by Gyce, she knew those toddlers were going to spend their first night without her.

Elizabeth regarded Phoenix as she went to her side. "Let me hold onto those for you.." she commented softly.

Phoenix gave a dull nod and tried to put on a brave face for the approaching security team.

Elizabeth regarded the approaching security officer. "Lieutenant. Aryssa hit Phoenix first...." she explained briefly what went down. "Phoenix was defending herself..."

Gyce saw the slit lip and bruised jaw on Phoenix first. Then she saw a similar mark on Aryssa who sat dumbfounded on the ground. As if she'd never been hit before.

"Is that what happened Colonel Sullivan?" Gyce asked, though she paced a bit and turned to look behind Phoenix's head. She saw the hit just barely from afar.

"Yeah," Phoenix agreed, not entirely sure why Gyce was looking her over.

"May I see your hands?" Gyce asked politely, for which Phoenix did, expecting shackles. There were none. "Ensign Yamaguchi? Please take her back down to sickbay to have her head and hand looked at. We'll pull the feeds to see what all happened, but I see no reason for our CAG to be locked up."

"WHAT?!" Aryssa explained in shock.

"You, Crewmen Sullivan, are under arrest for striking a superior officer," Gyce continued, and motioned for her two grunts to pull Aryssa up and cuff her. "A Captain's Mast will be held to determine your fate. Until then, you will serve time in the brig until your trial."

"You bitch," Aryssa shouted to Phoenix, whom the older woman looked both entirely confused with the situation and also upset.

Elizabeth finally snapped. "You did this to yourself Aryssa... you only want to spread your own pain and misery to everyone else.." she shouted before she stopped herself. "Come on Phoenix..." and she gently slipped Phoenix back her wings. "I won't need these after all." the taller woman paused. "Lets get you back to sickbay and get you looked at.." she paused. "Sajnálom, I'm Sorry.." she added quietly.

"Why'd that woman let me off?" Phoenix ask once they were out of earshot.

Elizabeth regarded Phoenix. "You didn't hit her back... even though you could have, you didn't give her any attitude and you didn't cause a scene." the taller woman explained. "You were defending yourself..."

"I made a vow ta never hurt folks I love, ever again," Phoenix noted with watery eyes. "So yes. I take what I'm due... But Aryssa, I think I've taken too much. Don' know how ta repair it."

"Rachael told me about what happened between you and Siaxx.." Elizabeth commented with a soft smile. "Don't worry about it.... come on back with me... and you and Mom can chat over dinner with the twins... I know mom will be wanting to throw a massive party... which... I'm going to help her plan."

"Tane's allotted me more replicator allowance ta get the twins some beds for my quarters," Phoenix admitted a bit guiltily. "I imagine once we try letting 'em spend a night with their real mom, we'll eventually move their beds to Torilla's place. Maybe in time for Aryssa ta move back with me. Kinda twisted, this whole shit is."

"Yeah..." Elizabeth responded. "Come on..." she smiled.

"...I didn' like hittin' her," Phoenix admitted with sadness, once they reached the sickbay doors.

Elizabeth nodded. "No reason you should." the taller woman explained as she led Phoenix over to an unused bed, Sokanon was still helping Siaxx with the twins, Rachael and Saki.

"Alright.. I have to document everything. You're evidence.." Yamaguchi sighed.

"Are you all right?" Tane immediately asked as she walked over and took in the bloody mess Phoenix was in.

"You're tha second person that's my sworn enemy, ta ask 'bout my health," Phoenix asked with confusion.

"I saw Aryssa leave. I didn't think when I brought her in here. It shocked her," Tane spoke apologetically.

"Well I'm fine. So shoo yourself Tane," Phoenix waved the Trill off.

"All right. I'll leave you two at it," Tane promised and walked around the room once more, asking medics about the various cases and preliminary findings from the people that came off the planet.

"I know I been gone two years. For them? More like a week... But still. It feels like a twilight zone with how nice some of 'em are ta me," Phoenix admitted with true bafflement.

"You might have been gone two years Phoenix... but you still hate her." Elizabeth commented. "and... thats not something for me to get involved with... I'm in enough trouble as it is.." the taller woman began tending to Phoenix's various wounds. "One thing though... Not everyone who you think is your enemy, actually is your enemy... " she paused. "I should make mention of that... " she sighed, clearly something was bothering her.

Torilla gently held Nix in her arms as the infant regarded his birth mother, she turned her head to regard her former eldest child, now her middle child as Rachael had replaced her as her eldest.

"Mom?" Nix asked her.

"Yes sweetie?" Torilla turned her attention back to the toddler. "We go home now?"

"Yes... we're going home... I'm going to introduce you to your new playmates... but you must be nice to them as they are... very young themselves... so no pulling their tails..." as she gently picked up little Tres with her other arm. "Siaxx... you need anything from me and these two?"

"Nope... I already gave them their shots so I recommend you get them down for a nap RFN." she paused. "I will need to keep Saki for a time longer though..."

Rachael nodded. "Thats alright... I'll let Phoenix know you're heading back to your place with them..... you gonna be okay... right, sorry."

"Its an honest question... so long as these two get along with the cats and I can get them down for a nap..." and with that Torilla went out the door, with her twins in her arms. Not thinking that she would need Phoenix to be there to reassure the twins that all was well.

Elizabeth meanwhile was almost finished. "Alright... well... I'm going to finish up and kick you out of here... I have a feeling Mom is going to need you shortly." she gave Phoenix a knowing look. "I'm going to stay out of that one... I'm in enough trouble with you as it is..." she sighed.

"You aint in trouble," Phoenix truthfully admitted. "Ya saved me from jail. We're square."

Elizabeth paused as she regarded Phoenix before she slowly nodded. "Alright." she said softly. "Your wounds are all cleaned up and I just need to tend to your face." Elizabeth explained as she began cleaning up the wound on Phoenix's chin. "Most of your wounds are relatively minor things..." she added.

"It's the emotional one that gotta heal in time," Phoenix supplied to the young ensign.

Elizabeth nodded. "Yeah..." she sighed as she finished cleaning off the other woman's face. "In any case... I'm finished healing your wounds so.... you're free to go. No sense you hanging around here..."

"All right. And thanks," Phoenix ended and hopped off the table to go collect Siaxx.

"Alright..." Elizabeth smiled. "I'll talk to you next time..."

Meanwhile Siaxx was standing in her office, she didn't recognize the place as everything within looked alien to her, then it hit her, this was evidence of her past life on this ship. "I need to clean this place out." she quickly gathered her things before she began tossing everything out via way of recycling it, using the replicator.

Once the office was empty except for three pictures, one of Siaxx and her family, a second of her and Phoenix together and a third of Torilla when Rachael had been born.

She went into the lab where she knew the Deltan, Betazoid hybrid would be located. "Nalla... you're still Chief Medical Officer. I have.... some personal business to tend to."

"I do not understand," Nalla admitted with mass confusion on her face.

"You've done a good job of it... but you deserve to keep it... now its not permanent... but I must relearn how to do my job.... Lets face it''' i've been gone for eight years...."

"Very well," Nalla agreed but the explanation did not do anything to help her confusion.

Siaxx smiled as she regarded the other woman. "Don't be troubled. I will be serving as a medical officer..."

"With Commander Yamaguchi giving me lessons on my psionic abilities, I do not foresee any time to be troubled," Nalla admitted.

Siaxx smiled. "Alright..."

"What do you intend to do as a medical officer?" Nalla asked as she looked at the various scans she had just taken.

"Relearn how to do my job..." Siaxx answered with a smile. "I did spend eight years in the wild..."

"Even so, your frontier medicine is probably better than most medical officers aboard," Nalla noted very Vulcan-like. "I believe that is worth teach to the rest of the staff while you refresh."

Siaxx paused before she nodded. "Alright." she responded. "Keeping medicine practical... I can teach that, yes.... but first... I want a couple of days so I can rest... and tend to a personal matter."

"That is not a problem, Doctor Dvald," Nalla answered Vulcan-like. "Captain Tane said you were gone almost eight years, planet time. So I can only assume the adjustment period will be longer."

"Thank you Doctor Furban." Siaxx responded.

"You are welcome," Furban responded with a nod.
