"So we now lost boomer huh," Wukari asked as she walked down the hallway with Raynor, heading to the Squadron commander offices.

Raynor nodded his head. "We sure did.... No sign of him or Phoenix.." he walked slowly next to the much smaller feline being. "Still... I'm mighty glad that you're back.... tell ya the truth... some of the more intelligent guys have missed you.."

Wukari nodded," well that's good to know, unfortunately i still cant use my hands that well, but the neural interface chip means that I don't need hands to fly anymore, though I still probably wont be much good with paperwork."

"Then we'll get you a yeoman." Raynor responded, in his western drawl. "We'll see to it someone else handles your paperwork... we need ya back full time darlin."

Wukari nodded as they walked into where the other Squadron commanders where waiting, saying," Well with that temporal anomaly that they are dealing with, for the people whom are down there, to them, its going to be years that they are spending down their, so even when we do get Boomer and Phoenix back, they wont be in any shape to lead for a little while yet."

Raynor regarded her. "I know.." he responded. "We'll manage just fine... we've been dealing with it up to this point and we'll manage.." he drawled.

Wukari nodded, then looked at the various squadron commanders, so she announced," O.K. aside from the pilots that have fallen down into the anomaly, what is the status of the wings.

Raynor paused. "The wings are doing relatively alright... losing Boomer and Phoenix were both major blows, they are.... determined to find ways to recover our lost guys.." he paused. "some are angry and some are resigned."

Wukari then looked at the various squadron commanders, saying,
"Whats the status on each of your squadrons."

Keyan "Camshaft" Fardreamer was first up. "Second Squadron is doing alright. My squadron is improving as a whole and my pilots are getting better... They've racked up more sim time in the last two months then some of them have done in the previous year."

Raynor raised an eyebrow, that by itself was telling. "Cyclops... what about you?"

"I've basically rebuilt Third Squadron into a completely new organization, I've replaced one of my three flight leaders and moved that pilot into my number three flight so he can get some hands on training from my squadron Ex-Oh." he explained. "since I did that, second flight has drastically improved... but I still have two pilots among the remedial's and one of them.... Berg was... replaced."

Raynor's turn came up. "First Squadron is doing alright. we're in the sims training and out doing cap, I still have two pilots in training and I'm missing two of them, Taffy who disappeared into the anomaly, her wingmate was one of the trainees... Perry is also missing."

Wicked witch was up next, "So far, 2nd wing overall still has five pilots on remedial, out of the original eight, all of them reassigned to my squadron. One got his wings back, and two, Dratt and Hurd, both got demoted to privates and sent to the marine ranks, the others are somewhat making progress. Also my squadron doesn't have much in the way of functional birds, since all the working ones got moved to 1st and 3rd squadron, we are still awaiting six replacements.

Sideswipe then reported up, "Well, the R&D crew has finished modifying my squadrons weapons and is now working on 3rd squadron and 4th squadron, but otherwise, my guys are being trained up on the net tech quite well. Let me tell you, these new missiles they are fielding is going to be a massive game changer."

Mirage waited for her turn, then reported," Well my squadron is doing fairly well, but with R%D working on six of my birds, my pilots have been forced to take turns with the remaining six to do the CAP patrols."

Hound, whom was currently sitting in for leadfoot, was the last up, "Well so far all our pilots are good, minus missing our squadron commander and his fighter, four birds are being worked on by R&D, four have been finished with modifications, and the remaining three are unmodified."

Wukari nodded, then said, O.K. and what is the status of the remaining pilots still within remedial training in 1st wing, whats their progress."

Raynor reported. "Well... of our seven. one got her wings back and three are really close, which leaves three in training, I was going to write off Perry, she's got a bad attitude and she's also disruptive to everyone around her. she's in her mid to late forties yet she's the worst discipline case we have... I was going to start chapter paperwork on her, one of them has shot nerves and I'm considering chaptering her out too. The last one.... she's just bad luck.. I'm referring to Eight Ball... what can go wrong... does."

Wukari gave the matter some thought, then said, "OK, well, their time is up, we are going to organize a pass or fail test for the remining remedial pilots, if they pass, they keep their wings, If they fail, they end up like hurd and dratt, demoted back down to privates and crewman if they where never enlisted before, or reverted back to their original enlisted rank if they where, and getting sent of for whatever embarrassing job that starfleet wants to stick them in."

Raynor raised an eyebrow. "When they fail... Starfleet will only send us failures..." he responded. "But its worth a shot..."

Wukari gave Raynor a stern look, "They send us failures, then we fail them. We don't show mercy. If we have to, we will clean out the entirety of the fighter corps if we have to."

Raynor shrugged, there was literally nothing he could say that this point.

Camshaft took this opportunity to interrupt. "The pilots we have in remedial training are improving.. and we don't need to simply wash our hands of them...."

This time wicked witch shook her head, saying," not all of them, some are improving, others are still real spotty, lets face it, not everyone is cut out to be a pilot."

Raynor sighed as he closed his mouth as Kell Tainer tossed in his two cents. "Well we'll see how many good pilots they send us out of the failures."

Wukari then added," Also We need to start putting exercises together to train everyone on the new tech we are getting as well, lets face it, these new weapons that R&D has given us is going to require different tactics than what we are used to."
