Ensign Elizabeth Yamaguchi and her new husband 1st Lieutenant Kameron Solusar had taken their meals together in the Green Dragon, now under new management.

The Chief of the Boat had brought his office work into the bar so he was always in here, the bar was now his duty station since he was now runing the bar full time, the previous owner had up and quit almost two weeks earlier leaving Duval in charge, he didn't enjoy it but he knew that someone had to do it.

He had hired Toshnarr and Fordring as two of his doormen along with a couple of the Marines and another couple of guys from security. People he know were tough but were also reasonable and could control themselves when punches and things were flying.

Kam regarded his wife. "You're thinking about her again."

Elizabeth sighed, "Can you blame me?".

"Not at all.." he replied. "We'll find them.."

Meanwhile Torilla Yamaguchi was sitting alone as she sighed. "Gah!" she sighed softly to herself as she felt and heard but didn't see her dining companion side into the chair facing her.

"Am I really that undesirable?" Zara laughed lightly as she seated herself beside of her friend.

"Sorry... lost in thought." Torilla admitted. "I take it there is still no word?" she inquired as a sigh escaped her lips.

"None." Zara spoke grimly. "But your kid's a great pilot. Phoenix knows if it went down, it would of ejected a distress beacon. So we have to assume they're alive. Maybe stuck in an alternate dimension, or some other anomaly we haven't charted before. Space is vast and always teaching us things, after all."

Yamaguchi sighed. "I'm sorry... Zara... Its not much help..." she admitted softly as Duval appeared next to the two as he placed a bottle of Wine on the table with two glasses. "On the house ladies.." and with that he was gone again.

Zara began to pour them both a glass before she added, "We have the various stations and bases looking for their signature on long range sensors. So it should be a matter of two days before we have a full report. Then we'll know where to search."

Yamaguchi nodded. "Alright..." she sighed. "They've been gone for almost two weeks now... "

"I know..."Zara took a hard gulp of her booze before she put the glass down. "I'm not going to give up though. We just need to have faith is all."

Torilla regarded the glass of wine in her hand as she lifted the glass to her lips, she then downed the entire glass as if it were water. "Faith... either I have it... or I don't..." she paused. "They've been gone two weeks.... why did they wait so long to tell us?"

"I don't know," Zara answered honestly. "But if I could take your pain away, you know I would."

Yamaguchi regarded Tane. "Its the not knowing part... " as a sigh escaped her lips. "Has there been any luck at all?"

"Leadfoot's fighter went missing," Zara spoke slowly, poured another drink for the both of them, then said, "As did Moni."

"Lovely... any ideas where they went down?" Yamaguchi paused before she drank her wine. "That can't be a simple coincidence.... "

"We've an unknown anomaly we can't seem to get close enough to study without falling in at the moment," Zara answered to much of her frustration. "Maybe with science and engineering teaming together, they'll come up with something clever."

"Like a Subspace sinkhole." Yamaguchi suddenly recalled something she read somewhere. "I've read about them...."

"Oh?" Zara pressed.

"Voyager encountered one, as did a few other ships..." Yamaguchi explained. "We might be doing the same thing here... Did we ever run any scans for gravity wells?"
