Mission: Mission 26: Points of Divergence
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1200Hrs - February 16th, 2391

Wukari nervously walked into sickbay with Kroo and Zarloos. Today would be the day that she will get her neural interface chip, and she was a bit apprehensive on the matter. She looked at both her hands, which was still in braces, having already gone through one or two surgeries already. She looked up as Siaxx approached.

Siaxx smiled. "Hey guys..." she greeted them. "So... Wukari.. you all prepared.."

Wukari nodded, not really saying anything, while Kroo put a hand on her shoulder.

"Alright..." Siaxx responded. "We're all set up for you... if you wanna head into the back. we can get this party started."

Wukari walked into the surgical room with Kroo, where Nalla was already waiting. Wukari didn't say anything as she sat down on the bed.

"Doctor Kroo," Nalla greeted with a dutiful headbow, then to Wukari. "We should be no more than two hours. And recovery from the surgery should be no more than three days, Commander."

Wukari nodded again, "O.K., well, best get on with it then."

"Alpha wave inducer," Nalla nodded to her nurse and waited for Wukari to fall asleep before she added, "12CCS of Morep ... I assume you have the correct interface for her fighter, compatible with the neural interface chip, Doctor Kroo?"'

Kroo nodded, "Yeah, we got the interface working, though her fighter won't be the first to be modified in this manner."

"How so?" Nalla asked very curiously while she began to make a lateral subdermal incision into the pilot's scalp.

"Its a series of tests that we will be running to improve pilot response time in combat, by giving some pilots neural interface chips and putting them in fighters designed around the tech, to see if we can get a faster combat response time."

"I do not wish to implant these chips until results on Commander Kalina's chip proves successful," Nalla warned as she pulled out her surgical transporter, powered it up via a direct link with the surgical bay, and gently transported it into the slot.
