Dinner for Two

Mission: Mission 17: The Drug-Dimmed Tide
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1800Hrs - December 18th, 2390

Ensign Tienn Iteela sighed softly as she knew she needed this meal, she hoped that she would be able to relax at least a short time, considering her room mate was busy with her new man and she was busy with medical issues that revolved around reproduction, namely females wanting the morning after pill or getting their various sexual wounds healed, sometimes however it was both. Needless to say Tienn was stressed and annoyed.

Meslina sighed to herself as she went through her closet and found that she really didn't have anything else to wear other than her duty outfit and dress uniform. There were a few boxes left around the room that had little knick knacks that she had collected throughout her travels and life as well some things from Trill that she had brought with her. She then went to the computer and looked at some of the dresses that she had pulled up earlier and sighed again, she really couldn't make up her mind and it was starting to bother her slightly.

Tienn reached her destination as she tapped the doorchime, then she waited.

At the sound of the doorchine Meslina stood up and looked at a timepiece that she had, 'crap it's this late already' she thought as she turned off the display and went to the door. As it opened the Bajoran woman who was waiting on the other side looked like she had a rough few days and needed just to unwind. "Hello Tienn, sorry I'm really not ready yet but you can still come in and find a place to sit down. Can I get you something to drink at least?" She let the other woman in and went over to the replicator.

"Something to make me forget the last few days ever happened..." the Bajoran sighed. "Sixty cases of women wanting the morning after pill and another forty women wanting help healing sexually related wounds." she sighed as she stepped into the quarters. "I mean I never imagined in all my hells that people would be so stupid... with each other..." she went to the replicator as she explained. "Honestly... a guy who's Six five bedding a woman who's five one. I mean honestly... you think he would know to be gentle.. but no... he's just going to go fuck her senseless and tear something in the process..."

"Well in that case I have some brandy from Trill, not the non-alcoholic crap that is produced by the replicators." Meslina told Tienn as she went over to a box that was in the far corner away from everything else. "I don't normally drink this stuff unless I really need to, but since you look and sound like you need it I don't mind sharing it with you. Though I should probably have something to eat to go with this too," Meslina pondered for a moment then let out a small sigh, "to be completely honest I don't know what Bajoran's like to eat, and my taste are more to the liking of Asian cuisine from my time on Earth."

"Oh... so long as its edible... I'm not fussed abut it." Tienn responded as she sat down in a huff. "I don't want to think about the last couple of days..."

Meslina orders up two plates of Beef Curry with a side of miso soup, and places them on a table. "Well this is what I normally like to eat when I'm in a bad mood so I hope this will be okay for you as well. Though the brandy will have to wait until after dinner since it may not mix well with the Curry." Meslina grabbed Tienn's hand and helps her up and gives her a slight hug. "Also it is nice to see you even if you are not in the best of moods."

Tienn raised an eyebrow. "That smells lovely..." she commented. "So long as it doesn't rot my insides..." she came over to the table as she peered at the food. "Mmm..."

Meslina went over and picked up a couple of spoons and gave one to Tienn, "it taste really good too. However I must warn you though some people can't handle the level of spicyness that I like so I made sure that your's wasn't too spicy." She took a small portion of curry and took a bite and felt the flavor and warmness seep into her. "Ah, that always feels good." She mumbled. Watch the other woman take a bite of hers she felt a smile spread on her face, it wasn't everyday that she was able to look at someone as cute as her and it kind of made her happy.

"Sorry to hear that you've had a rough week though, I just hope that you will be able to relax with me today and not have to worry about anything else. However I must also apologize for the mess and for the simple fact that I really am not fully prepared for your visit today." Meslina said while looking slightly ashamed.

Tienn accepted the spoon as she made herself comfortable at the table before she inhaled the scent of the food. "Well.. I am used to really spicy Bajoran Hasperat and Hasperat Souffle." the Bajoran woman explained as the took a small bite of the curry. "Mmm... wow.. this is great." she smiled. "What did you say was in this?"

"Beef and curry spices, I am not really sure what they put in it, but if you want I could let you have a bite of mine it's a little more spicy than your's is and if you like it I can give you that instead." Meslina moved back a little so that Tienn could get a spoonful from her plate. "I'm happy that you like it though."

Tienn took a spoonfull of the soup, she smiled as she inhailed the scent before she ate it. "Nice.." she commented. "clears the sinuses." she comented before she turned back to her own food. "this is great." and with that she slowly but surely, demolished her food. "wow.."

Tienn asked for Red hot chili with extra spice instead of the miso soup. Meslina kind of tilted her head to the side for something that was really spicy to go with something that is already spicy enough. But she had went to the replicator and ordered the side dish for Tienn anyways and gave it to her.

"Haha, well that's great." Meslina then worked on her own plate then eat's the miso soup side dish. "Now that we have finished our dinner how about we have that Trill Brandy that I mentioned earlier." Meslina grabs the dishes and put's them back into the replicator for it to recycle. She moved over to the couch that was in the room and motions for Tienn to sit down with her and picks up the bottle. Pouring to glasses she raises her glass and smiles, "to a possible future to us."

Tienn smiled as she sat down next to the other woman as she accepted the glass. "That... sounds great.." she responded with a smile.

Taking a sip Meslina looks over the glass at Tienn studying her, "so tell me a little more about yourself. I will also tell you a little about me too, I just don't want to rush into a relationship and find out that there could be something that will hinder us from being together. I'm not asking that you tell me all your deepest darkest secret's so you need not worry about that." Meslina kind of touched Tienn's leg with her own a little so show that she was comfortable with her and didn't feel to insecure.

"Well..." Tienn gently sipped her drink. "I've spent almost my entire career in medicine... simply because of the Cardassian occupation of Bajor." she commented. "I miss the wide open skies that come with planet based assignments... I always feel like I'm cooped up in doors... so I want to take a walk outside...only to find I'm permanently stuck doing the nightshift."

"I'm sorry you had to live through that time of hell, but I understand what you mean I miss the open skies myself. Though my childhood was not as bad as yours both my parents were busy with their work and I had gone through the training to be joined. However I have a slight fear of joining with the symbiotic organism and gaining another 'personality' so I choose not to be joined, but I could go back and become joined if the need arises. There was also a time when I was training with my friend and Master and I received the news that raiders had hijacked my parents shuttle that they were on and that is kind of the reason why I join Starfleet tactical." Meslina told Tienn.

"Ahh" Tienn commented evenly as she sipped her drink. "I never quite forgave the Cardassians for what they did to my world along with all the other worlds under their 'tender' care." there was something not right in Tienn's tone of voice. "and now we have Cardassians serving on the ship..."

Meslina's eyebrow's went up at that, "we do? I've never met this individual then again I am fairly new still and have to meet most of the crew yet. Also I can't really say I blame you for your anger, just like I feel anger towards raiders." Meslina stated, "serving on this ship does somewhat feel like a raider ship at times from the things that are allowed to happen but I feel that could change as we work together better and not let our emotions rule over our actions." Meslina sighed at the last part she knew that Tienn was suffering from the most of it from what she had said earlier about having sexual problems that she had to treat.

"If only people on this ship would stop being horndogs with stupid shit that leaves them out of control.." the Bajoran sighed. "Windspirit took care of most of it but I helped her with a few and I was doing about twenty of my own cases.."

"Yikes, well at least you won't have to worry about that with me." Meslina said with a warm smile, she then leaned forward and gave Tienn a slight kiss on the cheek. "You are really cute, even if you are upset but I hope that I can fix that today."

Tienn chuckled softly despite her black mood. "You worry too much." she commented as she indicated the bedroom with her head. "Shall we go in there and unwind a little more..." she paused. "bring the brandy, we'll need it..." and with that, her smile widened. "are you up in the morning?" she added.

Meslina shook her head, "nope unless something happens I don't have duty until later on. Also I don't think we will need the brandy since I'll make sure that you can relax without it."

Tienn gave the other woman a questioning look before a smile graced her lips. "Alright.. that sounds good."

Meslina and Tienn stood up and moved into the bedroom where they spent the rest of the night.
