Mission: Mission 15: Old Ghosts
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1400Hrs - December 4th, 2390

Lieutenant Siaxx Dvald was down in the hanger hunting for Phoenix simply because she had never really chased down her girlfriend during working hours, it was always after hours as she was the one who was usually well behaved while Phoenix was the one always in trouble.

Siaxx noticed someone in the throng of people as she skidded to a halt. "Lieutenant?"

The 'Lieutenant' in question was Major Tom 'Fives' Lasky who as luck would have it was an old friend of the taller then average Bolian woman. "Surprise!"

"Surprise yourself. What the hell are you doing here?" Siaxx inquired as she gave him a hug, he responded by picking her up off the ground since he was much more massive then she was. "Well I was told you needed a New Wing Commander so I stuck in my name and here I am... why?, something I ought to know?"

"Only that this is the ship of the dammed."

"Heh.." Fives smiled. "So this is a pirate ship then." he commented. "You know how I operate"

"Indeed Major... Indeed I do..."

Fives raised an eyebrow. " Is that Nutcase still in the Fleet.?"

Siaxx blinked. "Yes, Major... I will be sure to tell Phoenix you said Hello." the Bolian answered in a dry tone.

"Who am I greeting, besides your lovely face?" Phoenix asked with a bit of confusion as she walked up to Siaxx, wearing her flight suit.

"Ahh.. there you are." the Bolian woman inquired. "Major. I will see you in sickbay by Oh Nine hundred tomorrow.... so I can poke and prod you." she turned to Phoenix. "I need to see you in your office please."

Fives nodded. "Right" and with that, he turned and departed.

"What was it you needed, Lieutenant?" Phoenix asked, aware of others now looking at them.

"Now... onto our business..... if you please?"

"What sort of business?" Phoenix blinked for she could not think of a reason why Siaxx was here in her hangar.

Siaxx raised an eyebrow. "In your office please.." she commented. "We do not wish to alarm the children present."

Phoenix raised her eyebrow but complied as she led the way to the small turbolift that led to the top deck. Where Phoenix's office and head was located. She was still hurt by their dinner conversation. She had opened herself up completely to Siaxx and got a stonewall in return.

So for Siaxx to be in Phoenix's place of zen had her off-guard.

"So what's this about?" the pilot asked to Siaxx as they entered her sparse office.

"Well I had a couple of hours... the Captain asked me to ask you to report in... she didn't want to start shit with you." the Bolian commented as she glanced around. "Nice place you have... is it soundproofed?"

"Fairly...." Phoenix thought about Siaxx's question, then quickly added, "But it's not a good time to play."

The Bolian nodded her head as she quickly decided to come to the heart of the mater that had brought her here. "I'm here because I need you to talk me out of terminating someone's life.." Siaxx commented quietly. "I'm abut to break every rule in the book... and I need you... to talk me out of this.." Siaxx couldn't believe that she was ever having this conversation in addition to the fact that she was talking to Phoenix of all people.

"Tell me everything," Phoenix prodded as she started to fold her arms in front of her.

Siaxx looked around before placing her duffel on the table, before opening it and producing a PADD. "This is the medical records of one of the ladies under my command... " Siaxx's eyes sparkled with what most would assume to be irritation or lust but only those who knew her well, would know it to be rage. Someone has gone and pissed off the Bolian as she handed the PADD to Phoenix.

Quietly Phoenix began to read through the details. And at some point she pulled of her pilot's wings, which doubled as a combadge.

Siaxx's hands shook as she went over to the replicator as some very dark memories emerged and once more laid claim to the female Bolian.

'No don't' the fourteen year old Siaxx Dvald protested as her uncle pulled her to him before he claimed her lips in a kiss before placing a hand to a location where it never should have gone.

The incident was on a family vacation nineteen years earlier, but the scars had gone deep, her father had interrupted and had dealt with his brother as Siaxx ran out into the night of Bolarus, intending to get away from everyone involved.

Her eldest sibling had chased her into the night, Siaxx only ran further away and she had never stopped running.

She became aware that Phoenix's face had filled her center of vision as her visibly concerned girlfriend was trying to talk to her.

"This was abuse...." Phoenix spoke, just barely in a calm manner as she flashed Siaxx very old X-rays.

"It was..." Siaxx stopped as she gasped for air, she felt herself sliding into a chair before she suddenly burst into tears, the liquid flowing done her face, hot and cold at the same time. "I'm gonna fucking... kill her..." she hissed angrily. "I'm gonna make her fucking bleed!"

"Who?" Phoenix pressed, for she wanted a target to go after as well.

"Nalla's birthmother..." Siaxx admitted. "You asked me about children... I never got over what happened to me..."

And now Phoenix was torn between wanting Nalla's mother as a target, and wanting to know about the next one.

Siaxx who had only now just started to calm down. "My uncle sexually assaulted me when I was fourteen..."

"So we'll put two targets on this list," Phoenix spoke quietly, after she removed Siaxx's badge. "Get their schedules for the next six months. Pick the sites. Use weapons that will not tie us to them."

That was Phoenix's immediate response, and she quickly added in a heartfelt manner, "...I'd never let anything happen to you like that, ever again."

Siaxx looked up at Phoenix as she wanted to protest, to say something but what she said was. "Alright.... I'm sorry....for not sharing my demons sooner.."

"It's all right," Phoenix finally spoke, after putting much of her own hurt emotions aside. And then she wrapped Siaxx into a protective, warm hug.

Siaxx buried her face into Phoenix's shoulder as she returned the other woman's embrace with one of her own. "No... its not.... but.... It will be... soon."

"If there was anything I could do to cheer you up, I'd do it, My Love." Phoenix pulled Siaxx away only enough for her to look into Siaxx's beautiful eyes.

Siaxx softly smiled. "I love you." she responded softly. "and... I'm sorry I keep hurting you."

That was the nature of their relationship though. Dare she point that out to Siaxx? No. That would start another fight. Yet it did feel good for Siaxx to finally acknowledge that Phoenix was hurt by her words the previous night.

"So you came all the way up here ta ask me ta kill someone?" Phoenix half-laughed. "We coulda done this sorta talk in our quarters, ya know?"

Siaxx smiled. "No... I wanted you to talk me out of killing someone." the Bolian responded quietly. "My uncle.... I want him to know what I went through because of him..." she admitted.

"Pricks like your uncle don't care, sadly." Phoenix did not mean for her comment to sound as insensitive as it was, but Siaxx needed to understand. "But if we can, we'll try."

Siaxx regarded Phoenix. "Alright..." she paused before smiling. "if you think we can pull this off... then lets do this.."

"I don' know if we can yet." Phoenix sat in her chair and popped her neck in deep thought. "What we are doin' is going after targets that have a lot of power. So to get to them, we have to do some heavy intel to find the weak spots in their security."

"How does that work..exactly?" the Bolian inquired a moment later after taking a moment to process the information Phoenix was giving her.

"That's a broad question. So I'll start with phase one - Lookin' at their personal schedules," Phoenix noted very simply. "Can' make a plan of attack until we know that. Then we'll scout locations to make surgical shots from."

Siaxx nodded her head. "Alright... so.. which do we start with..?" she inquired. "Nalla's mother or my uncle?"

"It all depends on what we find," Phoenix noted quietly.

Siaxx regarded Phoenix. "Alright... you had lunch yet?" she inquired

"Not yet, no. Why you ask?" Phoenix said as she blinked with confusion.

"Because I'm hungry... and I wanna find out how do I go about learning how to fly.." Siaxx explained. "I was serious when I said I wanted to learn how... you guys do it day after day and you make it look like fun..." she paused. "Since comming here.... I've felt so small... I stopped doing all of my old hobbies..."

"We can eat again if you like," Phoenix agreed as she looked to her girlfriend with worry. "But maybe we should have dinner in our quarters, as a start. You cooking dinner again might be fun."

Siaxx smiled, warmly this time instead of with the quiet trepidation. "I keep burning the shepards pie.." she admitted. "but... I'd like that..."

"Why did you stop doing all those activities you like?" Phoenix asked mostly out of curiosity.

Siaxx regarded Phoenix. "Roanoke was a new ship... I thought that making a change would be good.... it blew up in my face, burning off my eyebrows and part of my nose..." she then smiled. "I'll unpack my cookbook and see what to make... You allergic to anything other then coconut?"

"Not that I'm aware of, no." Phoenix took Siaxx's hand into her real one and began to walk with her. "Don't stop doing the things you love, Dear. You'll be miserable."

"Yeah." Siaxx sighed as she followed Phoenix out of her office, the two of them crossed the hanger in silence as they entered the nearby hallway and then into a turbolift. "Deck 10, Section Sixteen" Siaxx commented.

"Been a long time since you cooked... Sure you can handle it?? Phoenix teased lightly before she kissed Siaxx on the cheek.

"I'm sure I can remember how to make a shepards pie..." she then paused. "I think..."

"If ya need help, I'll try."

Siaxx regarded Phoenix with a soft smile. "I won't ask you to peel potatoes.." she responded. "Instead.. I'll just ask you to prep the meat for the pie.. I'll get the spuds."

"Lamb or sirloin?" Phoenix asked with a hungry grin.

Siaxx gave Phoenix an impish grin. "Surprise me.. I'll make something... nice for desert... something with... whipped cream and chocolate." as she gave Phoenix a look. "I've found that I personally think better on a full stomach and you've not had a good home cooked meal... in far far too long."

"Then I'll probably go the to meat market on the station and get us some real meat then. If that's all right with you?" Phoenix added with a bright smile.

Siaxx's response was simple, she gently drew Phoenix to her as she gave the other woman a hug. "You don't need to ask for my permission... " she said quietly. "I'll prepare the spuds while you're dealing with the meat..."
