Distress Calls

Mission: Mission 14: Rage Rage Rage Against the Dying of the Light
Location: Various Locations - USS Shadow
Timeline: 1200Hrs - June 1st, 2390

Petty Officer First Class Isabella Rojas taped the display before her, sometimes she liked to sit watches at various bridge stations but she always cleared it with personnel and the Exec in advance but now she was stick seeing the Department head as she didn't quite understand how Commander Pike's thought processes worked as yet.

Rojas's inter thought processes were disrupted by the computer beeping at her. "We're picking up a Distress call."

"Put it though." came the response.

"Aye sir."

The person who appeared on the screen was a Novan female, she wore the uniform well but she looked like a woman who hadn't slept in a week, and her uniform showed signs of wear.

=/\= USS Shadow, this is Doctor Esaka Terra, and I'm declaring a Medical Emergency at Regor Colony. The SS Ursa Major is three weeks overdue and the colony medical supplies are depleted. We have a hundred and thirty three confirmed dead, and another fifteen and fifty six colonists down with the Regor Flu. =/\=

The doctor was clearly about to say something more, but she turned her head as she heard phaser fire which she evaded, as a bright orange flash of energy passed between her and the console before her. Rojas's eyes widened but she managed to say nothing as the doctor drew her own sidearm and returned fire before adding. =/\= Adow, tunnels unstable. Quick like digger." =/\=

The transmission went dead. "Whats going on?" the officer of the watch asked of her. "Transmissions jammed at the source sir. I am unable to raise her again."

"Very well." he then tapped his combadge. "Bright to the Captain, Sir you're needed on the bridge as soon as possible."

Rojas tapped the display before her as she recalled the message, she then played it back for her own personal interest. "Lets see if you hid anything in here." the tall woman muttered to herself.
