Meeting/Training - Part One

Mission: Mission 13: The Space Between
Location: Various Locations - USS Shadow
Timeline: 1000Hrs - March 2nd, 2390

The lithe Caitian arrived at her destination, she looked around as she
wondered if this holodeck was working properly, her lime green eyes
missing nothing as she found she was one of the last to arrive but they
were still missing a few people.

Selgae mewled as she glanced around. "This should be interesting."

Drex looked at the Caitian, "Glad you could make it," he stated as he
walked up to her and held out his hand. "I am (Bajoran) Captain Drex
Anjar the Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer." He greeted with
a smile.

Selgae purred softly as she gently shook his hand. "I am Selgae." she
responded, mewling at him. "Its good to meet someone who isn't insane."

Drex chuckled a bit, "well I try not to be insane if that's at all possible,"
he joked as he looked at her. "Well were just waiting on the Chief to get
here so we can start." Drex stated looking at her.

Selgae nodded. "This... should be interesting...wait weren't you the Chief
at one point?"

"I was just the Acting Chief, which was fine with me." Drex stated with
a smile. He would rather be the Assistant as he still new to the whole
Starfleet thing. He was an Bajoran Exchange Officer so this was a good
fit for him.

Joe had gotten the message a few minutes ago and arrived at the holodeck,
still trying to get use to being back in the security department. He spotted
the two and walked over to them.

"Ah speaking of the Chief looks like here he is," Drex stated to Selgae.

"Hello I am Lt.commander Joseph Pike"

"I am (Bajor) Captain Drex Anjar, your Assistant and this is Lieutenant Junior
Grade Selgae a Security Officer." Drex stated looking at him, "Thought we
could get some training in and a strategy as to what our department could
do when we are in a combat situation or just any situation that we might
come across during our stay here on the Shadow." Drex stated. "Hope ya
don't mind," he added.

Joe nods:"Nice to meet you Captain and Lieutenant. What kind of training
do you have in mind?"

"Do you have any good training methods that would work?" Drex asked looking
at him. "I have a few ideas but thought maybe we could come up with something
together?" He asked.

"Well I have a Orion pirate and a Romulan training program if you guys want
to check one of them out."

Selgae stood on the balls of her bare paws, as she preferred to be unencumbered
by heavy footwear whenever possible as she watched the two talk as her tail
curled around her left thigh.

"Sounds good to me, what do you think Selgae?" Drex asked looking at her.

Selgae narrowed her eyes. "Start with the Orions, we will undoubtedly face them
again and considering they have access to Warships and highly destructive
weaponry, we need to be prepared for them and whatever they can throw at us."

Joe nods and walks over to the control panel entering the program."This one is
where Orion pirates are attempting to take over Deep Space K-7, everyone is
dead but us and we are what stands in the way of them succeeding."

Selgae almost grinned. "They will fall before us..."

He enters a couple more commands for his weapons to be ready when he enters.
"What weapons to you pick to use?"

"A combination of blades and regular firearms." Selgae commented. "I want to
make them scream." she hissed.

Joe nodded as he entered the commands:"Do you have any preference Captain?"

Selgae selected her rifle, a sidearm and a blade which looked elongated but it was
curved on one side where as the other was serrated, the entire blade looked just
plain evil. "Shall we?"

"That sounds good, lets get going." Drex said with a smile, "Time to kick some Orion
ass." He added.

Joe punched in the final commands, selecting a phaser rifle, a phaser and a bat'leth
for himself. "After you"

The holo deck doors then opened up.

Selgae grinned as she lifted her rifle, her blade safe in the scabbard on her back.
"Sir?" she looked at Pike.

Joe stepped into the holo deck himself then looked up:"Computer begin program."
Just then the Promenade appeared along with several bodies of Star Fleet personal,
within seconds about 12 Orion pirates came charging in.

Selgae smiled as she lifted her rifle as she moved forward, pulling the trigger as she
sent a half dozen shots downrange to her targets, only three hit their marks but it
broke up the initial charge as she ducked into cover along with everyone else.

Drex came in shooting and diving out of the way of the phaser arrays. Hitting most
of his targets. There objective is to get to the bridge and take control of the ship.
While he was firing he looked around to see any passage ways to take. When he
seen one, "Pike, Selgae cover me and follow." Drex stated as he sloughed down firing
and heading in the direction he needed to go.

Joe dropped to one knee with surprising speed for someone his size firing off a shot from
his rifle hitting a Orion square in the chest, the pirate when flying backwards. He then
moved to cover.
