Checking it Twice

Mission: Mission 13: The Space Between
Location: Various Locations - USS Shadow
Timeline: 2000Hrs - March 2nd, 2390

Commander Celeste 'Thirteen' Yamaguchi was sitting in sickbay as she watched the recording of the day she met Brianna Hobbs, there was something about the Gunny that intrigued her and she wanted to meet the other woman outside of work, she smiled as she openly admired the womans physical body, she wondered what it would be like to share a kiss with the other woman?.

On the display, Commander Celeste 'Thirteen' Yamaguchi was in an evil mood as she handed a PADD off to one of her nurses. "Give that to Lieutenant Chan." she commented

"Yes Doctor, right away." the younger woman turned and walked off on her errand as Celeste pickled up a second PADD while she waited for the three people who were pissing her off, well it was actually one of them, the second was the Gunny, she didn't have an issue with the gunny, it was just the Andorian Private, the third stood silently and motionless but he was also the largest of the three.

The doors opened and in came her two newest victims., a dark smile appeared on the Doctors face. "Privates, Gunny, good... " she looked at the Private, an evil glare on her face. "Do you have a problem with me Private?" her eyes glared like a pair of binary black holes, they shone with pure malevolence as she regarded the Andorian.

"Um. . . No Sir. We've never. . . never meet." Ryi replied nervously. She was unsure were the Doctor's belligerence originated.

"Oh good, I can't tell you how happy I am to hear you say that." she almost hissed at the Andorian Zhen.

Two of the nurses stopped what they were doing as they had clearly never seen Doctor Yamaguchi anywhere near being this angry, at first they thought it was with both of the new arrivals but it very quickly became apparent that it was just the Andorian who had pissed her off and the curiosity was clearly interesting as Celeste looked at the Gunny. "Morning Gunny."

"Top of the morning to ya Doctor." Hobbs replied in a cheerful tone.

"I'll do you first Gunny." she commented as the Andorian snickered, Yamaguchi turned her head. "Something amuses you?" she commented at the Andorian private, she wanted to say more and the look on her face said a great many things but she didn't press the issue further as she turned her head. "Nurse!" she called.

A petite Andorian Shen came running. "Doctor.?"

"Take this Andorian Private, give her a full checkup and then certify her as fit for full duty. Get her out of my face please."

"Certainly Doctor." the Ensign commented with a smile. "Come with me Private. Lets get this done." as she turned and walked away,

"A little spicey this morning?." Hobbs said in response to Yamaguchi's manner. "Was that really needed?" She asked the doctor.

"Yes Gunny, it was." she commented quietly. "Take a seat please.... " she commented as she looked at Werner for the first time. "Stand fast Private, you're up next."

"Heya Doc, look I ain't good at keepin' records but I don't think I need no shots." Werner clumsily explained.

"Maybe you do and maybe you don't Private, I have my paperwork in hand, says your not up on your shots, I'm going to cure you of any preconceived notions of physical superiority in relation to the rest of us." she looked up at the brute standing before her.

"Preconceived!" Werner stated. "Doc I don't know what ya might be thinkin' but I'm a dude. I can't get knocked up." Werner explained.

"Oh, you wanna bet on that, Private." Yamaguchi had a rather evil look on her face. "Stand there and keep quiet... I have work to do." she turned as she gave the Gunny a quick check. "Hmmm.." she narrowed her eyes as she did so. "Do you eat enough Gunny?" she inquired. "You're a little malnourished but nothing an extra portion per meal won't cure.." she commented as a Nurse approached. "Doctor."

Yamaguchi knew what was going on, she had put together this little drama herself as she was skilled with sleight of hand, several of her siblings were masters at it and they had all taken the liberty to teach each other and then her. "Thank you Nurse. Could you see to the Gunny.... I see Mr. Werner is in more trouble then I thought."

The Caitian nurse nodded, her fur was midnight black and she had a kittenish appearance, her green eyes blazed with intelligence as she grinned. "Delighted to sir." she turned to the Gunny. "So... are you allergic to Shellfish?"

Meanwhile, Yamaguchi looked at the Private. "Come with me Mr. Werner. Let's get your issues sorted out."

"I ya need me to prove that I'm a guy I can just drop my britches," Werner stated. He then thought for a moment. "Ohhh, you mean shots. I don't think I need any more Doc."

"You're not up on all your shots, you're missing two of them," she explained patiently like. "So I'm going to give you two injections.... you might feel some side effects such as a tingling sensation or being overly weak.... do not be troubled... it will pass in about six hours or so." she explained as she produced two vials which she injected him with the first which looked reddish in color. "Okay... now I will give you the second," she commented, this one was a mild green in color.

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow as she regarded him. "You might feel a little slow and a little weak for a day or so, as this one looks after your bones."

"Are you sure Doc? Never had a shot do that to me. I'm sure I can handle a little medicine." Werner told Yamaguchi in a matter of fact manner.

"You worry too much Private, Let me handle my domain which is medicine." she commented. "If we're ever boarded, I'll ask that you be stationed here to protect my band of miscreants and nurses." she then smiled sweetly at him.

"If were ever boarded I'll probably end up here anyways." He told her.

Yamaguchi looked at him. "I see." she commented before finishing up with him. "Okay. follow me.." and she lead him back over to where the Gunny was just finishing her checkup, the two Andorian's were just returning as well.

"Nurse?" she looked at the Andorian who smiled at Celeste. "I'm certifying her as ready to resume active duty,"

"Excellent news." Yamaguchi commented as she looked to the Caitian who looked at the Gunny. "You are as fit as a fiddle and ready for anything Gunny, we should all be so lucky..."

"You say that as if you know something is coming Doctor. What aren't you telling me?" Hobbs jokingly asked.

Yamaguchi received the PADD from the Caitian medical officer and a second from the Andorian medic, she glanced over both of them. "I usualy leave toying weith my food until the second date. Besides that, you and your two Privates are in good health." she gave the Andorian a rather evil glare, but she ignored Werner.

"I'm considering requesting sniper training as well as a refresher in Close Quarters Combat training." Yamaguchi responded. "That.. is what you don't know. Since you asked Gunny." she then smiled. "I wonder if I can get giant here to teach me."

"We could do the sniper training on our own time in the holodeck. I don't know how Daisy could rationalize a doctor cross trained as a sniper to Captain Baldwin-Webb or to Star Fleet." Hobbs told Yamaguchi. "Personal combat training I can swing. Star Fleet encourages that. If you want Werner I can assign him to you, or any other enlisted Marine for that manner."

Yamaguchi smiled cheerfully as she commented. "I like having the ability to shoot bad guys from a long distance, long before they ever get to me." the taller then average human woman commented. "I rationalize it like this, I refuse to be useful in any situation, if I can put my boots on the line with rifle in hand Gunny then I will." she explained. "I'd rather kill them long before they get within range of my guys."

Hobbs let out a light laugh. "Oh, I'm not saying I won't help. I'm just saying we'll have train off hours. Just remember, a lot of people can be trained to handle a weapon. Few people can be doctors. I say that because if we get short of trigger pullers I'm getting more people from engineering or science. You medical types will be busy enough. I respect your willingness to learn though. I suspect your already a good shot Doctor." Hobbs told Yamaguchi. "So whats pissing you off about these two?"

"That's a fair point." she looked over at Private Amlari as she smiled. "The reason I'm pissed off with the two of you is because you cost me two hours I could have had with my children, I had an outing planned which I had to cancel because I was dealing with the Caitian who'm you two hurt with that candy throwing thing of yours." she then looked at Werner. "You have a hell of a throwing arm... a shame you have to use it to screw with others private."

"I was just havin' fun Doc." Werner explained.

"Well... then let me share with you a couple of things.... Because the next time you decide to screw with anyone... Don't because what the Gunny will do to you will be nothing compared to I do to you..." Yamaguchi then smiled sweetly. "I trust I've made myself clear?" she inquired as she proceeded to crack all of her knuckles.

Werner sighed out loud. "Can I go back to getting punished by a Klingon?" he rhetorically asked.

Yamaguchi wanted to hit him, the look on her face went from annoyed to truly enraged. "Gunny, a special request please..." she said quietly as she glared evilly at Werner. "Make this man suffer, please... If you would be so kind?" she inquired as she placed both of her hands on the Biobed so she wouldn't reach out and hit him, the look of fury in her eyes was telling.

"Consider it done Dr. Yamaguchi," Hobbs said reading her anger.

"Alright. Thank you very much Gunny." she handed the PADD to the Gunny. "You three are in good shape and ready for active duty. Welcome aboard Gunny, its a shame we have to meet like this."

"Considering what jobs we have, I'm sure we'll meet again. This also wasn't that unpleasant." Hobbs smiled at Yamaguchi.

"Oh I have no doubt that we'll meet again Gunny." Yamaguchi answered. "Hopefully it'll be outside of sickbay and marine country."

Ten days later and as she turned off the recording. Yamaguchi smiled. "I wonder what you are like in bed Brianna Hobbs?" she asked softly, aloud.
