Mission: Mission 99: The Dreams of Songs Gone Past
Location: Tactical Offices - Starbase Vanguard (47)
Timeline: 1500Hrs - June 12th, 2393

Captain Rabb tapped out of the conversation with Ironhide as he mentally checked that one as resolved, now it was time for him to go and see Moni Nasao as he knew that she was another one who had issues with Starfleet and her time in the service as he picked up a PADD and quickly reviews the particulars, another officer who had been shafted illegally by a human commander who had denied her transfer after refusing to work things out with her, he slapped a black mark on her record after he had assaulted her with a pot of coffee, forcing the Executive officer to have him declared unfit for command, in effect a legal mutiny and thus, ten sorts of stupid all happened in one sitting.

Rabb shook his head, cases like this were long-winded, stupid and needlessly complicated, especially because of the fact that some people could not control their emotions, especially if the other side was not a human. He lifted the PADD that had been sitting on his desk, the one that had Lt Commander Moni Nasao's name written on it, he wanted to refresh his memory with the specifics of the case and the events surrounding it.

While he read the PADD, Rabb's frown got more and more pronounced. "Okay, so the matter is being dealt with." and with that, Rabb rose to his feet and while he departed his office, he collected his thoughts on what he would say to the Caitian female who had honestly had this coming for a while and her restitution was long overdue, in Rabb's eyes.

Rabb reached his destination a short time later. He knocked on the door and was permitted entry by the Orion female who ran the tactical actions department. Captain Mikaela Di'Tomasso regarded Rabb with her purple eyes. "Captain Rab, whatever it is, I can explain, really." as she gave him a gentle smile.

"I'm not here for you Captain so whatever you did will remain unaddressed, at least for now," Rabb answered her in the same tone of voice.

"Mmm... So if you are not here for me, what can I help you with?" Di'Tommaso inquired as she looked at him.

"I'm here for Lieutenant Commander Moni Nasao," Rabb explained in a cheery tone.

"What's she done now?" Di'Tomasso sighed deeply, clearly expecting bad news.

"No. I'm here to address other matters, it's not something she herself did but what others did against her. I am here to address those issues." Rabb explained to the Orion female who was waiting patiently, she gave him an odd look. "Alright." before she tapped her combadge. "Di'Tomasso to Nasao. Could you step into my office for a moment please?" she inquired.

"I'm on my way. Mmmmrr.." the response came back with the classic Caitian purring sound.

Rabb and Di'Tomasso settled in to wait for the third officer to come and join them, which she did a few moments later.

"Thank you for joining us Moni." Di'Tomasso commented.

"What am I wanted for?" Nasao answered in a quiet tone, her ears became flattened against the top of her head, clearly, she did not like Rabb at all.

Rabb noted the aggressive posture so he knew he would need to calm her or placate her quickly. "You are not in any trouble Commander. I was sent here to resolve a problem you have been dealing with for quite some time now."

Nasao went from feeling threatened to feeling confused. "I do not understand." she paused as she regarded him like one would regard a curiosity.

"Last year, Starfleet JAG received a complaint from someone whose identity we have yet to uncover. Admiral Chegwidden received the information from the complaint and he asked me and a few others to look into the matter. We investigated which took several months as several other personel was involved in the matters at hand. The complainant had details of names, places, and dates that either someone involved with all the issues at hand or someone closely related to the matter could know."

"Oh... Who's your suspect?" Nasao couldn't resist asking.

"I have a couple of suspects," Rabb answered. "Chief among them is Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi but I have a funny feeling that her granddaughter has something to do with it." Rabb then smiled. "In any case, JAG has completed their investigations into said matters and now I've been asked to handle all the personnel assigned to the base or are in the Taurus Reach command area. You are next on my list."

"Okay," Nasao responded lightly. "What will happen to me?"

"Well, for a start, the two black marks against you are being removed, the incident at the academy was illegal and the man had no right issuing the citation against you," Rabb explained. "The incident on the Jupiter is more complicated, you were attacked by an officer who tried to kill you and you were forced to kill him in self-defense. Captain Stillwell has been punished for the actions that he did and did not take that day. he had known of the problems and had done nothing to prevent said issues from escalating. He has been removed from his command and will face a court-martial for these issues. The case itself will be handled by others but you might be called as a witness so prepare yourself, Commander."

"Lovely. I will be ready after I spend a little time going through my notes and logs of the events in question sir." Nasao answered.

"Very well. The demotion against you has also been removed from your service record and three years of seniority for your Commanders rank has been added to your grade."

Nasao's ears unfurled slowly as she realized what was going on. "So that means that I need not worry about promotions?"

"No. Your career has been returned to what it should have been rather then you wondering if you were ever going to make it to Commander or Captain." he nodded to Di'Tomasso. "I have also been asked to restore you to your proper rank. That of Commander." he turned to Di'Tomasso. "Do you want the honor?"

"Certainly." the Orion female answered with a smile as she pulled a small black box from a drawer in her desk. She opened it before she produced a single solid golden pip before she rose to her feet, she came around her desk before she pinned Nasao with her third solid golden pip which now marked her as a Commander. She then shook the female Caitian's right hand. "Congratulations on having your rightful rank restored to you." the Orion female commented.

"Thank you," Nasao answered.

"Also, now that you have the rank for it, I need an assistant Chief for tactical and your work recently has been sensational. I'm offering you the position."

"Commander K'Taro is senior to me," Nasao answered.

"Only by his experience but you know the new systems we're dealing with far better then he does. So you are getting the offer first and if you refuse then he'll get the offer." Di'Tomasso answered with a nod.

"No need, I'll take the posting," Nasao answered with a smile.

"Excellent." Di'Tomasso responded with a smile. "Captain Rabb, is there anything else we should discuss?"

"Nope, that's it. The adjustments and black marks have been removed from your record." Rabb answered with a nod.

"Alright then, well I'm thinking I should request a yeoman to help me with my paperwork." the female Orion commented

"Fair enough. I'll get out of here and go see my next victim and let you two get on back to work." Rabb rose to his feet and took his leave a moment later. Nasao followed a moment later as the Orion smiled. "Sometimes. I love my work." as she went back to her paperwork.
