Mission: Mission 10: Holding on and Letting Go
Location: Various Locations - Starbase 400
Timeline: 0900Hrs - December 3rd, 2389

Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi went into sickbay, as she knew this was coming as she went over to the nearby desk where an Andorian nurse was seated. "Hello, Commander. Can I assist you?" she inquired politely

"Yes," Yamaguchi responded. "I'm booked in for a medical checkup to see Siaxx... That is Lieutenant SIaxx Dvald-Vaxx."

"Ahh. Let me see... Name please?"

"Torilla Yamaguchi." the pregnant Halanan explained.

"Right." the Andorian responded as she went to work. "Yes. You're booked in for a prenatal checkup. Has anything changed?"

"I'm feeling... what I assume are contractions.." Yamaguchi paused. "It could be just lower back pain but I want a professional to give me the once over."

"Right. Let me page Doctor Dvald-Vaxx for you so we can get you looked at... Make sure all is well." as she tapped the display. "Front Desk to Doctor Dvald-Vaxx. Commander Yamaguchi is here to see you."

Dvald-Vaxx showed up moments later. "Lo Torilla, fancy meeting you here." as she regarded Yamaguchi with a concerned look. "Yeah... Come on Tee, let's get you looked at." She went for her tricorder and started doing her check-up." Yep, it's about time for you, Jake's not present either."

Yamaguchi regarded the smaller Boilian before her. "Which sucks..." and with that, the two moved into the back.

A short time later, Torilla was seated in a birthing chair, she knew this was coming as she had done this several times before. Dvald-Vaxx was watching and monitoring the female before her. "Focus Torilla. and one and two... breathe!"

"Next time Jake..." Yamaguchi whimpered as she breathed out and then back in again, the worst move she could do was lock up on this. "You're almost there Tee, you're doing great... he's crowing!" she commented as she regarded Yamaguchi. "Push Tee... One big push..." she commented. "Come on girl, you got this!"

Yamaguchi's focus was on what she was doing as suddenly the air was rent with the screams of a child as Yamaguchi pushed her newest child out of her body and into SIaxx's waiting arms. She gently severed the connection between mother and child and she then cleaned up the young boy.

"Tee... Its a girl." Dvald-Vaxx smiled at her oldest friend. "Names?"

"Ask me later..." Yamaguchi whimpered as she blinked. As she gently received the little bundle of joy that she ad Jake had worked so hard to create. Dvald-Vaxx would remain for a time to monitor Yamaguchi and look after her and her infant's needs.
