Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 0930Hrs - September 29th, 2393

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi smiled as she departed Admiral Duval's office and now she was going to head planetside for her reunion with her husband that had been delayed long enough. Yamaguchi smiled as she nodded to her twin sister before she departed Operations. "Transporter room six," Yamaguchi said, her voice gentle and level as she was heading back to the Grey Wolf to pick up Nymeria and Grey Wind, then she would head to her new home which she had never seen but she knew where the residence was located.

The doors parted before her, Yamaguchi exited the turbolift and entered the transporter room. "Hey Chief, one to beam over to the Grey Wolf please?"

"Right away Captain." the young man answered as he went to work, he nodded to her before he turned his attention to his panel rather than admiring her figure as some tended to do. "Ready Captain." he addressed her.

"Energize Chief." and with that Yamaguchi was beamed over to her ship, she nodded to her own transporter chief. He nodded back to her. "Welcome back skipper."

"I won't be here long Chief, I'm here to collect the dogs and then its off to go home." and with that, Yamaguchi stepped out of the transporter room as she headed to her home which she shared with the two large dogs who greeted her with enthusiasm and happiness when she entered her home. Yamaguchi gently grasped their leashes, she clipped them onto their collars before she led them out the door. "Come on guys, walkies..." she commented with a wide grin.

The two dogs were only too happy to comply as they all but pulled Yamaguchi out the door and down the hallway. She returned to the transporter room and was beamed down to Utgarde City's main transporter hub, Yamaguchi looked around, the last time she was here, this place was mostly theory and politics and now it was an actual real place.

Yamaguchi heard someone calling her name before she smiled, she could sense her husband's presence. Both dogs turned as they too regarded Jake Yamaguchi who was approaching, they both got up and went to greet him as if he was a long lost friend, which to them, he was. Torilla grinned as she regarded her husband's reunion with their dogs as he gently took their leashes and led them over to the shuttle before he closed the side door before he turned to his wife.

Jake gently slipped his arms around her, as he picked her up in his arms, their lips met as they shared a long and passionate kiss. Lovers and spouses long separated by duty would be reunited if only for a time as their kiss ended. Yamaguchi grinned at her husband. "I love these reunions," she commented as she regarded her husband. "You always leave me breathless..."

"Well I do what I can," Jake answered, he was overjoyed that his spouse was home, as he tended to call wherever he could get a decent nights sleep home. "Come on, let's go home. I wasn't sure if you wanted to get some sleep before the kids came home or if you wanted to actually do something so I decided not to try and surprise you."

Yamaguchi slowly grinned at her husband. "Well... How long before the kids get home?" she commented, as she wondered how much peace and quiet she would have before she was permanently deprived of it and she would need to go back to being a full-time mother again.

"I pick up the twins from daycare and the kits from school, all at about sixteen hundred hours," Jake answered his spouse. "So we got six hours to ourselves, give or take," he commented as he smiled warmly at her.

"Sounds good." as she followed Jake into the small family shuttle, which was one of three civilian-issued shuttles, all based on the old type eight shuttlecraft that was in service twenty years earlier. Torilla smiled as she regarded her husband. "You got this old girl from the Courageous," she commented. "Number eleven..."

"I did. She was my favorite suttle, all of us pilots had one and this was mine." Jake took his seat at the pilot's chair as he began to start the power-up list while the dogs were both in the back, one was lying down and the other was standing up. "Lay down guys.," Torilla commented before she turned to her pannel and got Jake his departure clearance, she was professional about it and as she gave her husband a look which could have meant many things. "Service with a smile, that's me."

"I recall you once threatening to space me for being rude," Jake answered, his smile did not fade as the event was almost twenty years earlier. "I can only assume that was said with the utmost respect.?" he asked of her.

"Yep, I promise to salute as I open the outer doors," Torilla commented with a grin on her lips.

"Mmm.. see that you do," Jake answered with a smile of his own.

Torilla knew her husband's sense of humor was extremely energetic, he did not seem to take anything personally and he didn't let things bother him too much, it was nice to see his old sense of humor returning as Torilla was and still had concerns about her husband. Jake smiled as he activated the engines and they were off, heading towards home.
