Mission 105: The Mirror, Shattered
Location: Various Locations - USS Infinity
Timeline: 1000Hrs - October 2nd, 2393
Commander Victoria Yamaguchi grinned as she handed the prisoner over to the brig officer. "Could you arrange for the best cell in the house, please?. I'd like to speak with the prisoner." she indicated April Yamaguchi, she had her arms locked behind her back and she was keeping her silence.
The man nodded. "Right this way Commander," he answered, he led the two people before him over to a brig. April blinked in silence. "A brig... I was expecting an agony booth," she commented in somewhat stunned surprise. "I figured you'd want to spend a few hours torturing me while making me feel pain."
"Well... I figured it would have dawned on you that these people are not like the old empire..." Enyo commented in a rather snide tone of voice. The guard dropped the forcefield as Enyo all but pushed her in. "Get in before I change my mind and have you put to the sword instead... For all of your crimes woman, you deserve nothing less.."
Once the forcefield was back up. Yamaguchi turned. "I have no idea of what you are yapping on about woman." she paused a moment. "When I get my hands on you..."
"Of course not, selective amnesia?." Enyo said in a tone dripping with sarcasm and mock fear. "Awww abject terror consumes me..." she added as she hissed at the other woman, very softly under her breath. "The sooner we're rid of you, the better." she turned to the guard when Yamaguchi spoke up. "Wait... Jean-Luc asked to have me handed back to him?"
"Whoever that is... I'm tempted to keep you but my skipper won't do it, so I'll turn you over to him after you've spent a little time here, you are simply too dangerous to let loose and while you committed no crimes against this ship or her crew. Captain T'Shaamet is taking no chances with you."
"Captain T'Shaamet... As in T'Shaamet Yamaguchi?" Yamaguchi inquired as she paused, could this be the same woman who was her dead girlfriend, the lost love of her life that caused her to turn into the monster she had become.
"Yes, you'd recognize her as your dead girlfriend, Except that this T'Shaamet didn't know you.. or the April I encountered..." Enyo commented. "Here, she's known as T'Shaamet Antilles." she waved her hand as if dismissing a pest. "Anyway, what does it matter to you?" Enyo rolled her eyes. "You never gave a shit about anyone in your entire life, why are you wish to start now." she didn't ask it as a question, but rather it was put to her as a statement of fact.
"You had no idea what you were interrupting Enyo..." Yamaguchi answered quickly, every second counted and she knew it. "At least let me say it... Before you dismiss it all as lies..."
Enyo raised an eyebrow as she slowly smiled at the caged animal before her. "Why should I care about what you have to say on this or anything else?" she asked in a flat tone, one that sounded like she was bored.
"Because... Fine, I'll tell you." Yamaguchi sighed softly as she sat down in a chair. "Are you happy now.?" she asked, a soft growl in her voice.
"No, I'd rather torture it out of you." Enyo slowly smiled, it was a smile of cruelty and malice. "But you would give it to me so easily... So what is it?"
"I plan to overthrow the Empire... You know why I wish it done." Yamaguchi glared at Enyo. "Except... I plan to go much further... I am going to restore the Federation... The Federation of old, not the abomination it became because of Leyton..." she eased out a long sigh, it sounded more like a gentle wheezing sound. "Granted I have details to figure out... Like ending the war with the Cardassians and the Romulans..." she paused. "I still have details to work out."
Enyo blinked, she glared in astonishment at the other woman. "You cannot be serious... You won't get within sight of Earth, let alone Starfleet Headquarters..." she added. "How do you plan to pull this off?"
"By doing this quietly, myself and a few dozen others... We just need to get in." Yamaguchi answered. "I have their shield codes and their security codes... We will beam in and get to work... It will be a messy, bloody business but when I'm done... I will imprison Leyton and his ilk for crimes against sentient life... I will then rebuild the Federation and return the Empire to its people as I rebuild the Federation." she let out a sigh. "Sure, I may fail... But at least if I die, then it will be doing something worth doing... Rather than sitting around, doing nothing."
"You are mad..." Enyo answered quietly. "Why would you do this... I mean why do you even care?"
"Because all wars have to end... the Dominion made us into a mockery of what we once were... They made us know fear and we gave into it... Leyton was afraid and all of his policies reflect this... If you don't believe me, go look for yourself. It's all there Enyo... You cannot be so dense that you don't see it for yourself."
Enyo's lower lip trembled. "I want...I want the labor camps abolished... I want my people released... I want those who should be free to choose their fate, to be free to do so." as she realized she could become a couple of steps closer to reclaiming her babies, her children who had lost.
"Your children and the crew of the ISS Shield of Vega..." Yamaguchi paused. "Done and done... I was going to restore the Federation to what it was in the twenty-three seventies... The twenty years of madness needs to end... Now...Would you help me?"
"What is it that you need?" Enyo asked, hoping she was not making a Faustian bargain.
"I need out of this brig... and I need to be delivered to my contact. The rest of gravy."
Enyo nodded. "Agreed." she paused. "But April... Don't make me regret this..." as she regarded her opposition from outside the cell
