"Captain... Syal... Its time we met.." as she smiled at the other two people before her, the brunette smiled as she regarded the blonde woman before her. "You look taller then I imagined you... or is it because I'm shorter?" she grinned, but there was no amusement here, only steely resolve. "I can never really tell... Anyway, you and I have a couple of matters to discuss... Jerold being among them."

"Jerold... What the fuck has he done now?" Duran-Yeager snapped at her duplicate without any warning.

Duran turned to Yeager. "Does she kiss you with that mouth?" she commented lightly. "First, before I decide to educate you on manners... Let me introduce myself... I am Duran Halar." she commented. "I am... well I was another version of you, from another universe, I have since become stranded in this one... Though I am having my doubts as to whether or not this one is better than the one I lost..."

"That's not what I was expecting," Duran-Yeager commented. "I was expecting an imposter."

"Yes, quite," Duran answered. "I honestly think that had I worn my original look... Captain Yeager here might confuse you for me... I would not blame him if this were indeed the case." as she shifted her attention from Duran-Yeager to Yeager, he looked more curious then annoyed. "Tell me Ms. Duran... if that's really your name... How do you come to be here?"

"I am in Starfleet.. such as it is... I enlisted rather than become a full officer... and my relationship with my brother needs some very serious tender loving care it seems." Duran explained. "As he now has two baby sisters to deal with, no longer just the one... you... now he has me and I can only hope that April has informed him of my existence otherwise this will be a real short hop..."

"April... What does that fucking nutcase have to do with this.?" Duran-Yeager answered hotly.

"April was the one who informed me of the situation present here... You are a trained therapist Syal and yet, you act like the worst marine I'ver ever encountered. Now, what the fuck is the problem with you?"

Yeager took that moment to speak. "Ladies, that's enough... Either be civil to each other... or you can leave." he regarded Duran Halar while he spoke. Duran moved over to a sofa and she sat down upon it. "So... Syal, you gonna at least hear me out... Or should I try another approach?" Duran eyed Yeager while she spoke. She was clearly unsure of how he'd act or what he would say. "Ladies... Let's try to be civil to each other... Now Ms. Duran, why don't you explain why you are here... other than trying to piss off my wife..." Yeager said in a deadpan tone of voice.

"I am not trying to piss her off," Duran answered. "Oh, I already did that... Now... the matter is about Jerrold." Duran answered. "Why do you hate him?"

"Why do you care?" Duran-Yeager answered. "The matter isn't your business..." she tried dismissing it.

"Noted. It's now my business." Duran answered. "Were you not paying attention Syal. I am you... From another universe and now I am stuck making this one my home and I do not need Jerrold throwing me up against a wall, trying to strangle the life out of me because he thinks I'm you." she commented in a light tone of voice. "Oh, April told me everything... It's quite a tale... He cut you out of mom's dead body... Just like my Jerrold did for me." she explained. "Oh, I read your file too..."

Duran-Yeager growled softly, she was on the verge of losing her temper, it was showing too. "Then why ask me then prophetsdammit?"

"Because Syal... I wanted to see what you would say on the matter... You want to know what makes you and me different?" Duran asked. "You want me to tell you!?"

"Get out!" Duran-Yeager yelled.

"Wait..." Yeager's voice cut through the haze of anger that had fallen over his wife. "I want to hear this first... Because she has a point..."

Duran-Yeager knew that her husband didn't often involve himself in her issues or problems but that he had chosen to do so now, was telling. "I apologize for my outburst..."

"Accepted and I apologize for provoking you," Duran answered. "Now... Jerrold couldn't raise you because of his own issues, he had to help himself before he could help you." Duran explained. "My Jerrold got into a lot of trouble because he refused to let me go and he raised me as best as he could, it was hard, at times very very hard... We had our differences and our problems." Duran paused. "But he became my father... More then he was my brother... and now he is dead... My Jerrold I mean. along with my entire world... everything that I had... Everything I ever gave a fucking rats ass about... Including my wife.. are all dead... The Borg slaughtered them all... Four quadrillion people. slaughtered like sheep."

"By the profits..." Duran-Yeager whispered. "Yet you came here and you still want to try to deal with this matter between me and Jerrold?"

"Who was your wife?" Yeager suddenly inquired.

"Talon Yamaguchi." Duran gave the unexpected answer to his unexpected question. "Does that surprise you?"

Yeager and Duran-Yeager shared a look. "No. Not in the slightest." Yeager sighed softly. "Yes, its time this matter was resolved, once and for all," he commented to his wife. "You said he abandoned you while you were growing up...and you were placed into foster care as a result."

"Yes," Duran-Yeager commented lightly. "I blamed him for abandoning me."

"He was still a child who had just lost his mother, murdered right in front of him by a Cardassian. Also, he has a Cardassian woman as part of his family... or did you not know of Taselle's existence."

"Wait... What?" Duran-Yeager answered. "Wait... Jerrold has a Cardassian child of his own?"

"No... the child was actually adopted by April... She was already a fully grown adult female and gone to the academy when Jerrold met April... But their first meeting got really nasty, April had to intervene to prevent the two from coming to blows... April was smaller than both Jerold and Taselle and she said it was a near thing." she then let out a soft sigh. "April knows you hate her too because she is involved with this mess... That you have allowed to drag on and dig too deep..."

Duran-Yeager held her silence as she considered it. "He won't want anything to do with me..."

"Have you ever tried telling him anything he wants to hear?" Duran asked kindly. "Has April not offered her assistance on this matter Syal?." she sighed softly. "I know she did and you hated her for it..." she paused as Duran regarded her twin. "Syal, it's not too late... You can still resolve this with him..." Duran then realized that she only had one chance left, so she reached for the last and most deadly arrow left in her quiver, she yanked the arrow out, she nocked it and then fired it at the woman across from her. "You still have your Duran Jerrold to resolve it with... Mine is dead..."

"Alright..." Duran-Yeager sighed softly. "Alright," she whispered a second time. "I'll go and talk to him..."

"Not alone... I will go with you..." Duran answered lightly.

"As will I." Yeager commented.
