The Considerations of the Future - Part Ten

Location: Various Locations - Korvat Colony / USS Kronprinz
Timeline: 1045Hrs - September 7th, 2393

Yamaguchi-Antilles swallowed the last mouthfull of the worm she had been tearing apart with her teeth, Coral found that she did not like Gagh as a dish, she preferred her food to be dead and cooked, this was neither and she suspected that she would have a case of food poisoning, she quickly made a mental note to see the Doctor when she got back aboard the Kronprinz. She rose to her feet and went to the door, she opened it to find herself face to face with Hastings. "We are ready, shall we pack the things that belong to these two...?"

"Sounds good to me. Klingons generally pack light but we will take you all to the dormitory to pack their things."

Khalest raised an eyebrow as she regarded her twin. "There is nothing we wish to take with us." she paused. "Only clothing."

Hastings regarded the five-year-old twins in silence for a moment, he considered exactly what he wished to say. "Are you sure girls?"

"Yes, we wish to go with the members of our house." Kosleht indicated Antilles and Yamaguchi-Antilles with her hand. "We were not informed that members of our house were alive and free."

"Oh." Hastings paused. "Is that true?" he asked of Antilles, he nodded. "It is. Their kin is married to our daughter... They are part of our house... We came to reclaim them... That's why our paperwork was approved so quickly."

"Oh... Okay... Fair enough then." Hastings paused as he received a PADD from Yamaguchi-Antilles which she had produced from her messenger bag that she was presently carrying with her. "That's the paperwork we submitted, just in case."

Hastings nodded as he read over the PADD. "All of this looks to be in order," he responded to Yamaguchi-Antilles. "Very well then, girls... We will miss you."

"I know," Khalest answered with a smile. "Tell Paul Sheargold that I will always value what he taught me." as she rose to her feet.

"I will inform him," Hastings answered with a gentle smile. "Do you know where your jackets are?"

"They will want for nothing," Antilles answered with a smile. "Anything they leave behind here, we can replace... Any House Mementos they lost... We can create new ones with Ajal's guidance."

"Ahh... Of course." Hastings paused as he turned his attention back to Yamaguchi-Antilles. "I will begin the process of processing this paperwork and you can take the girls here with you." before he paused and then he produced a PADD which he then handed to the Antilles. "That's Sarkin's information, that you requested."

"Ahh... Jackson will be happy to receive this. Thank you, Doctor." The Antilles answered, a jovial smile on his face.

"Your welcome." Hastings paused. "Shall we go to the transporter station.?. Its this way..." and with that, Hastings turned before walking off down the hallway. Expecting the group to follow him.

"Our business here is concluded." Antilles and the others set off down the hallway, following the Doctor in silence, the two Klingon children walking on either side of Yamaguchi-Antilles, both in silence. They reached their destination as Antilles-Yamaguchi tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi-Antilles to Kronprinz."

The response was instant, a female voice that instantly sounded soothing to Yamaguchi-Antilles's ears came over the com system. "Aloer here sir, is everything proceeding satisfactorily?" the Cardassian female inquired. Yamaguchi-Antilles smiled as she nodded. "I think we've taken care of all we can down here, number one. At Mister O'Briens leisure. I'm ready to return with my husband and two Klingon children."

"Understood," Aloer answered. Antilles and his party waited only a moment as Hastings moved off, suddenly the transporter took them and they were gone. Hastings remained a moment longer as he smiled softly. "Godspeed you on your life's path girls... I hope it turns out well for you." and with that, he turned and went back to his office, he was a busy man with a lot of work to do.

The group of four people appeared in transporter room sixteen. Chief Petty Officer William O'Brien nodded his head. "Welcome back aboard skipper, colonel." he smiled. "I see you brought guests... Will they be staying long?" O'Brien inquired.

"We adopted them," Yamaguchi-Antilles responded with a gentle smile. "Girls, this is William O'Brien, the ship's transporter chief."

Khalest smiled. "Nice place..." as Kosleht stood in awe of the room they were standing in. "It looks so... clean..."

"Welcome aboard girls," O'Brien commented with a smile, he didn't think the skipper even recalled his name but he was happy that she did so.

Yamaguchi-Antilles turned to her husband. "Lee, could you take these two down to sickbay and get them looked at and checked over?" she inquired of her husband, upon receiving assurances that he would, she stepped forward and was gone out the door a moment later.

Antilles smiled as he gently guided his charges off of the pad and out the door into one of the ship's main service hallways. "Come on girls. off to sickbay we go... They are expecting us...." he added. Kosleht and Khalest followed in awe-struck silence before the two entered a turbolift. "Sickbay, primary entrance," Antilles spoke in a clear, concise tone of voice. The lift started on its journey a moment later. Antilles regarded the two children with him. "Girls... This is very important, that you stay with me... You'll easily get lost on this ship and you're not in the system yet... So nobody, not even the ship's computer, knows who you are... If you are picked up by security, they will not take it lightly and will treat the matter seriously, which means Coral and I will also get into trouble with the powers that be... Okay?" he explained. "We will get you added into the system, as soon as possible but it'll take time..."

The two looked up at him. "Okay... What do we call you?" Khalest inquired.

"For now... Lee. I am not your father and I will not lay claim to such a title..." he paused. "But make no mistake, I am the head of my house and I will deal with matters if it should be needed to, okay ladies... Coral might command the ship... But I lead the house that she and I have together. Okay...?"

"Okay," Kosleht answered with a nod. "We'll behave..." she then proceeded to give her errant sibling a nudge. "Right?"

"What... Oh yes?" Khalest answered with a pause. "This ship is amazing... I want to know how it's built!" she added.

"Alright girls... Now that be arranged..." Antilles answered quietly before the doors parted, someone then barged into the lift and knocked Khalest over. Antilles went to assist her. "Watch where you are walking godammit!" he gently picked up the five-year-old as if she weighed nothing and he tossed her bodily onto his shoulders.

"Hey, I didn't see you there." the man answered, Antilles noted his hands were webbed so he narrowed his eyes. "Either you watch where the hell you are going or else... You walked into my daughter... You want this to get out of hand..." Antilles added, now well and truly angry. Kosleht was intimidated while Khalest looked quite happy with developments, she had not thought much of the man upon whose shoulders she was now sitting but she gently pressed her hands onto his shoulders, she could see that there was a great deal more to this man then she had suspected.

The Zakdorn paused. "Yessir," he answered quietly. "My apologies..." he growled a moment later. Antilles vacated the turbolift with his two daughters. "Wow..." Khalest cried loudly. "That was so cool," she added

Antilles walked into sickbay, the two girls beside and on his shoulders, he reached up and he gently helped the five-year-old off of his shoulders and back onto the ground, before he moved to the desk. "Hello."

"Hello Colonel, are these the two young ladies were informed about?" the Andorian shen inquired with a gentle grin.

"They are. This is Khalest and Kosleht." Antilles answered. "Is the Doctor available?"
