Posted on Fri Mar 20th, 2020 @ 5:54pm by Colonel Lee Antilles & Fleet Captain Coral 'Icecrown' Yamaguchi-Antilles

Mission: Mission 104: Saturn's Children
Location: Antilles-Yamaguchi Quarters - USS Kronprinz
Timeline: 1845Hrs - September 3rd, 2393

Antilles-Yamaguchi regarded the black screen before her, with the PADD in her delicate-looking fingers, she let out a soft sigh as she mentally considered ho to break this all to her husband, she heard a door closing, so she turned as Lee seemed to appear out of the shadows. "That was educational. Would you not agree?" Antilles inquired of his spouse and the mother of the children he used to call his own.

"One day, you must teach me how to do that." Antilles-Yamaguchi inquired of her husband. "That little trick you do, when you seem to appear from the shadows," she added for clarification.

"Ahh, that... There is no trickery involved. I'm just good at blending in with the lights." Antilles explained evenly. "You learn these things in the Marines, they like to teach us simple evasion, you pass by a hatch and the enemy appears, then you become the hatch," he added by way of explanation. "How did the chat go?" he inquired.

"It went alright, Autumn and Ajal are well, if tired with their three kids... Ajal also might have a solution to our empty nest issues." Antilles-Yamaguchi decided to go all-in with the matter at hand.

"Makes sense, isn't her house falling apart?" Antilles regarded his spouse with a serious look in his eye.

"Yeah. House H'ruS has taken major losses in the recent fighting inside the Empire. Ajal asked me to consider taking in her last remaining relatives." Antilles-Yamaguchi waited for her husband to meltdown with his usual force, which was like watching a neutron star explode, he surprised her when he did not which Antilles-Yamaguchi took as a good sign. "What do we know of these relatives Coral?" Antilles inquired.

Antilles-Yamaguchi handed him the PADD she was holding. "Ajal sent me these two files. Their names are Kosleht and Khalest and they are about five years old, so they will have some of their Klingon upbringings in with the mix." Antilles-Yamaguchi explained evenly.

Antilles read the two files in silence, while he listened to his wife explain what she knew of them. He could see that his spouse was very serious about this. "Two young Klingon girls in state-sponsored care at Korvat." he regarded his spouse as he commented on the facts at hand. "I don't see an issue here... What of you?"

"I wanted to ask you first... Before I made any decisions on the matter at hand." Antilles-Yamaguchi answered softly. "I didn't wish to cause issues where none existed," she added.

Antilles could understand why she would be saying that he also agreed with her as he nodded his head. "It's been a long day for us both, how about we eat dinner.?" his eyes never left her face while he spoke.

"Sounds good. I'm hungry..." Antilles-Yamaguchi answered as she moved over to the replicator. She paused before she ordered herself a meal before she gave her husband a pointed look, which he knew only too well. "Chicken pot pie with two large helpings of mash potatoes and children gravy," Lee explained. The replicator made the dish for him as requested.

The two of them took a seat at the table, before starting their meal, the silence by itself spoke for itself, about ten minutes as the two were almost finished with their meal. Lee fixed his wife with a nod. "What do you think of this... Wife of mine?" Antilles asked softly.

"I think it'll help, it'll definitely help you and me... It'll help Ajal too... and it'll help them," Antilles-Yamaguchi Admitted softly. "You don't think so?"

"I've never been in state-sponsored care..." Antilles admitted quietly. "I've never been the type to rush in when I have the time and ability to question it, think on the matter before me and consider it before I need to act..." Antilles was known for having a very deliberate and methodical nature, it was what had drawn Coral to him in the first place. "I think its a good thing but I remain cautiously optimistic."

Antilles-Yamaguchi let out a soft sigh as she had been wanting to get her hopes up that her husband would sign onto this, he would be the main stumbling block and they both knew it. "This house has been too quiet anyway... I want to hear the sounds of children running underfoot." Lee added, in a more demanding tone of voice.

"I think... That can be arranged." Antilles-Yamaguchi answered. "Natural or adopted?" she gave him a pointed look.

"Both..." Antilles paused. "Whichever comes first... but do you want more babies?"

Antilles-Yamaguchi slowly smiled as she nodded. "I do."

"Then we will do this then." Antilles answered, in a rather solemn tone. "and I will enjoy bedding you, morning, noon and night."

Antilles-Yamaguchi grinned at him. "Sounds good to me."
