Mission:
Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Medical Offices - Starbase Watchman
Timeline: 1000Hrs - May 15th, 2393
Commander Heris Dvald smiled as she went into her office marked with her name on the door, she slipped off her lab coat which helped to conceal her womanly figure as she tended to have moments of vanity every now and again, now was turning into such a moment. She didn't want youthful Ensigns falling in lust with her figure, this had happened before during the Pineapple Incident while she was on Starbase 12 eighteen months ago.
While Siaxx had found herself with a human male, Heris had found herself with two males, a Bajoran and a human. Needless to say, the event had been highly educational for the tall Bolian female, also it had been rather painful for her too as she had never had this sort of experience before. A threesome was new for her and she found that she did not enjoy it, even while medicated.
While the sex had been amazing, it was not something Heris preferred to think about the after-effects of the event in question. Her older sibling had been through something quite similar to her thanks to the same incident in question. Ranav had simply laughed about it when Heris explained the particulars of the event to him as she felt she owed him an explanation and was prepared for the worst when she really overreacted in the situation at hand. Heris realized at the time that she should have relaxed and expected her husband to handle things as he normally did, with patience and with a mixture of 'I do not care' and 'you are my mate, that won't change.'
Dvald sat down behind her desk as she slipped off her jacket, it hung on the back of her chair, before the tall female let out a soft sigh. Her children would be in class and her two teenaged boys were becoming men, she knew that she would need to concern herself with issues which generally arose from boys going through puberty.
Heris smiled, her five children had never ceased to make her happy and she was proud of them along with all of their accomplishments. She also noted their failures too, for that was a part of their growing up and them learning how to be civilized Bolians.
"Computer. Tea." Heris commented, for this was a part of her mornings routine.
"Specify blend?" came the response.
"Ahh... Suprise me." Heris's smile only widened as she decided to waste a little time with the computer.
The computer clearly had no sense of humor. "There are twenty-two million, six hundred and forty thousand, five hundred and eleven blends of tea available from this replicator."
"I am sure," Dvald answered in agreement. "British blend, two sugars, and cream," she commented. "Extra large." the tall Bolian placed her order.
The drink appeared in the replicator, Heris gingerly picked it up and placed the mug on her desk before she ordered two Boston cream doughnuts, this was her midmorning snack and it was something she greatly enjoyed.
Heris plucked one of them as she opened her mouth to take a bite, the com system beeped at her. "Operations to Dvald."
Dvald paused, as she looked down at the doughnut, just begging her to take a bite and ignore the com system but the Bolian female was nothing if not a slave to the system. She tapped her combadge. "Dvald here. What is it?" the Bolian inquired.
"You have an incoming message, it's from the Personel officer for IFO, they want to speak with you." came the response from Commander Helen Nasarri.
"Alright. Pipe it through down here, I'm in my office and I am not busy at present." the tall Bolian explained.
"Alright. Willdo." and with that. Heris stood up as she went over to her wall monitor, she tapped it once as an officer appeared on the display, this man she knew but she wished she did not. "Admiral Saint John. What can I do for you?" Dvald decided to be polite
Vice Admiral Ryan St John was not a patient man, nor was he kind or forgiving. "Doctor Dvald. I'll come right to the point as I know we have our issues. I have noted a need for experienced personnel on Starbase Vanguard and they are particularly short in their medical and security departments. I am sending you and your family there immediately. The billet I have for you means that I am also promoting you to Captain."
"Yessir," Dvald answered, he severely outranked her as he was a Vice Admiral and she was a mere Commander. Well, she was just promoted moments earlier, which mattered little. "I assume my boss or well, my former boss knows this?"
"He does. Captain Markam was not happy as he clearly feels that you would be better utilized where you presently are stationed, however, Vanguard needs you more so let's not waste time in arguing as to who will win." St John explained in blunt terms, clearly expecting her to protest this as well.
"I have no intention of arguing with you," Dvald answered. "When do I leave?"
"At least, someone with some sense. You leave tomorrow but I need you on Starbase Vanguard more or less R.F.N." he explained. "Thank you for not making my life harder then it needs to be. St John out." and with that, the com system went dead as he hung up on her.
Dvald sighed softly. "Well. That was illuminating." she sighed as she shook her head. Meanwhile, the door opened and in walked Captain Paul Markham. "You believe the nerve of that bastard?"
"I do," Dvald answered. "Alas. I got my orders." she sighed for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes.
"You could protest this. You know..." Markham answered.
"I could but why?." Dvald answered. "It would do me little good, to be honest, and he does severely outrank me." Dvald shrugged.
"I need you here." Markham sighed softly.
"No, you'll be fine without me. If worst comes to worst, you can always request Commander Stephanie Bell, she comes with my highest confidence." Dvald smiled softly. "She is very good at what she does and she is much more laid back then I am."
"Okay, I'll do that then." Markham sighed. "I'm going to miss you Heris, take care alright?"
"I plan on it, considering my husband looks after me and my two boys like watching over their mother, at times its endearing and other times, it highly annoying." the tall Bolian smiled. "I'll have this office packed out in an hour."
Markham nodded as he sighed. "Alright, I'll leave ya to it then." and with that he withdrew, leaving Heris Dvald alone, she set about packing her office up, once again letting out a sigh as she did so.
