Mission: Mission 112: The Heart of a Truth Long Lost
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1000Hrs - January 22nd, 2394

Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi regarded her husband with a gentle smile. "If they say we have a case. Will you support it?"

"Of course. I hate guys who fuck with their wives. You forget Tee that I knew Kimora Reeves. We served together twice and I know April had a special place in her heart for her. I wouldn't be suprised if he and April ever ended up in bed together." he then shrugged. "But thats not a matter for me to ponder," he added. "He had her declared unfit, and then he divorced her. Then he sued for full custody and won. All within a span of a few weeks. That is awfully fast. I think it may be too fast. But we'll see what Captain Rabb says." Jake then sighed.

Thats when Torilla's combadge beeped at her. "Naz'jar to Yamaguci. I'm sorry ma'am, but your time is up in five minutes." she commented. "The Admirals ten fifteen is here."

"Understood. We're just wrapping up now. Thanks for the heads up." Torilla answered as she rose to her feet. Gabe and Savannah did likewise. "Thanks for seeing us. Dad." Gabe commented with a smile.

"No worries. Gabe. I hope we get a decent answer." Jake answered.

Torilla. took her leave before she departed. Followed by Gabe and Savannah. On the way out, they passed by Fleet Admiral Heather Duval who stood aside and let Torilla pass in silence. Duval raised an eyebrow but opted not to comment. Instead, she decided she would ask Jake what all this was about.

She went into Jake's office. She had expected him to be sitting behind his desk. But Duval was very suprised when she foiund Jake sitting on his sofa with a rather amused look on his face. "Heather. What's up?"

"It's time for our ten fifteen meeting Jake," Duval answered. "What was that all about?" she indicated the door as she regarded Jake.

Jake looked up at Duval. "My spouse and daughter believe that an old friend of mine was shafted by her spouse when he did not want her around. He had her declared as an unfit mother, and then he divorced her." Jake explained briefly what he had been told by Torilla, Savannah and Gabe. "They make a compelling case, so I asked Harmon Rabb to take a look at the matter," he explained.

"You think there is something there?" Duval then sat down next to him. "Who are we talking about here?"

"Kimora Reeves. She and I served together twice," he explained. "She was a junior officer the first time and then she was my Chief of Operations for one tour. She got top marks from me. I looked at her file. It was full of the usual stuff. But all her performance reports were all excellent."

"Yes. I recall hearing about that." Duval answered. She frowned while she said it. She turned her head as she focused on looking at Jake. "Do you believe that there is something here?" she asked gently.

"I do," Jake answered quietly. "April named one of her daughters for Kimora Reeves. So that should tell you something," he commented.

"Indeed it does." Duval paused. "When will Captain Rabb know?"

"He said he would have an answer before day end," Jake commented.

"Very well. If he finds something in there then I will ask him to start an investigation into the matter. Regardless of where it goes or what it does. Admiral Hunt, if he has been a bad boy will learn to fear our... fear my wrath." as she smiled sweetly at Jake.

"That frightens me," Jake commented in a deadpan tone of voice.

"Good." Duval grinned at him. "Anyway, shall we take care of our meeting?" she inquired,.

"Yeah. Let's get on with that. Since you did not come to hear me complain about other people getting shafted." Jake rose to his feet and went over to his desk, before sitting down with his PADDs behind him. Duval came over and sat down next to him. She had a rather impish smile on her face.

Meanwhile, Savannah and Gabe shared a look. "I need to make a call. It's long past time I contacted him," she explained softly.

"Do you want us there while you do it?" Gabe asked.

"No. I should be alright. But you two could always take a second look at Kimora's stuff that she sent me in the next room." a gentle smile graced her lips. "It's time my biological grandfather heard from me," she commented. "Though it comes late. I bet her ha long waited for me to find my way back to him."

Torilla gently placed her hand on Savannah's shoulder. "Whatever you need, honey. It'll be provided. Okay?" she commented.

"Thanks, Mom," Savannah answered with a gentle smile.
