Mission:
Mission 115: The Pale-Fac'd Moon looks Bloody on the Earth
Location: Various Locations - USS Grey Wolf
Timeline: 1315Hrs - November 13th, 2393
Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi walked onto the bridge. "Number one, please call a meeting of the senior staff. I need to explain our mission to them."
"I will return to the Hermes," MacRae commented as she nodded to Yamaguchi. "I'll also explain the situation to my own crew. Then I'll call for a meeting of all of the Captains in the fleet, and first officers two so everyone is on the same page." she paused. "That will probably be sometime in the next ninety minutes or so. As soon as all of our ships arrive."
Yamaguchi nodded. "Of course." with that, MacRae turned and departed the Grey Wolf's bridge. Tienn, meanwhile, was in the process of calling the senior staff about what it was they had been doing. "Now skipper?" Tienn inquired with a gentle smile.
"Yeah." Yamaguchi then went over to her chair. "It'll become public knowledge soon enough. If anyone needs a moment to get something to drink, eat something or go to the bathroom. Do it now." Yamaguchi commented.
Tienn watched as almost everyone got up from their posts all at once, they went about attending to matters. Before all ate their food, drank their drinks, and tended to the matter of going to the bathroom to relieve themselves. A few minutes went by as Yamaguchi made herself comfortable in her chair. She had serious misgivings about her orders but she would see them through to whatever end came her way. Once everyone was ready, she looked around at her entire senior staff. "Alright, everyone. I hope you enjoyed our little patrol cruise. I know you are all aware of the news and what we tried to accomplish yesterday." she started without any preamble. "We're being sent back to New Halana. Ony this time, instead of talking, we're going to use force to end this war... Starfleet has dispatched a sizeable invasion fleet that we are to use in dealing with this threat. Once, and for all."
Commander Tienn blinked. This was a real surprise. "Sir. With all due respect. Is Starfleet truly serious about this?... An act of war is one thing but a full-on invasion is quite another." the Bajoran commented.
"It's worse than you think, number one. As I am a Halanan exile. This will no doubt, be seen by some as an opportunity for myself and Rear Admiral MacRae as a chance to end our exilehoods, once and for all," she commented. "I can't speak for the Admiral, but I am used to being an exile. I have my husband and family with me. I am content for my species to ignore me." she explained. "My family will survive, even if my species does not," she added in a final answer, one in which tone indicated how dismissive she was of her species. Their treatment of her and their attitude toward the same.
Tienn nodded. "What are our objectives?" she inquired.
"First, we need to neutralize the Halanan fleet. The ships we have been sent will assist greatly in this matter. Grey Wolf and Hermes won't be going back alone... We'll have over a dozen other ships to help us with matters." Yamaguchi then grinned. "A Valhalla and Two Ascensions along with one Guardian. A Vishal and Two Wasps. Six Centuries, the Hermes and us." she explained. "Then we need to remove the orbital defences... Thats where our battleships come in, while we will jam all of their communications. Then we will decapitate their leadership with a swift strike into the heart of the capital city. I know exactly where to go as does the Admiral. One of us will be leading the ground offensive... and the other will be looking after the orbital battle." Yamaguchi paused. "The Admiral and I have still yet to make that choice," she explained. "Any questions?"
"Why are we leading this attack skipper?" Masako Anderson inquired.
"Because we were available. I was offered the chance to say no but I will see this through to the end." Yamaguchi answered. "How long before the fleet arrives?" she asked.
"They are almost all here, we're just waiting on the York at present. She's ten minutes away." Anderson answered.
"Alright." Yamaguchi turned to O'Halloran. "Anything from the Admiral?"
"Admiral MacRae is asking all ship Captains and first officers to meet with her on the USS Pashenadale. In fifteen minutes." O'Halloran answered.
"Alright. Tienn come with me. Masako, the ship is yours." Yamaguchi answered. She walked off of her bridge and a few minutes later she was aboard the Pashenadale, heading for her destination. After getting the directions she needed. The two women walked into the meeting as everyone else was gathering.
The two women proceeded to take a seat at the table. After a moment, the last two officers arived as Admiral MacRae, who was now dressed for the occasion in an Admirals uniform started the meeting.
Roughly an hour or so later. Torilla was back on the bridge of her own ship as she smiled. "Helm, assemble in formation with the rest of the group and then set course for Halanna. Speed: Warp eight. Engage when ready." she added
It was then that the fleet began to get underway, for their destination and war.
