| General Overview | Korelii MacRae was rather distinctive as she stood in at an even six foot tall and weighing in at about a hundred and seventy pounds, facing off against this woman would be a daunting prospect. Korelii also is easy to deal with. Korelii tends to prefer things as simple as possible, she likes being prepared for anything and everything. This attitude has served her well repeatedly as she has fought in several of the Federations most bloody battles. Also Korelii has earned her flight Wings, she stays in shape by flying shuttles, runabouts and fighters when she can. Korelii has a highly defined sense of right and wrong as she had no problems about defending those weaker then she is as she is lethal with any of her known implements of war. She however has two skills most lack, her psionic abilities and her temper for when provoked, she can become almost a force of nature especially when lethal force is authorized and she is armed appropriately. Also she has two none-punitive letters of caution in her file from combat during the Dominion War. this did not deter her from the destruction of the enemy when needed. Over the course of Korelii MacRae's career, she picked up one reprimand which he had to submit because the regs didn't let him out of the matter. It was a none punitive letter of caution for saving her commanding officers life but she had to disobey orders to do it. Sexuality: Heterosexual. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Korelii is many things. Reasonable and easy to get along with, she's pragmatic and easygoing. Korelii also operates well with others and can handle many tasks at once, she has an excellent sense of humor and can shrug off insults that would deeply offend others. She's methodical when assigned tasks, she is meticulous in her work as she will often check things several times in a short timeframe. Korelii is a true master of her craft. Be it Operations, Engineering or Tactical. Weaknesses: Korelii tends to overwork herself and can get stretched easily with her various hobbies. When angered, she has a ferocious temper that a Klingon would admire. Like any Halanan who mated with an olffworlder, she has been exiled much like her biological twin was done. To Korelii, the subject of her exile is not a good conversation to have, she will not discuss it with anyone except family and even then she'll only discuss it under protest. When the subject of her exile for choosing to mate with an offworlder is brought up, when in this situation, she can become very angry and aggressive extremely quickly. Korelii is a woman who has no problems with death. In her ongoing struggle with the inherent chaos and strife in life, she has always tried to protect the weak and the innocent as she has tried to light the way for the lost and oppressed. This is both a strength and a weakness, both balancing each other out. |

| Hobbies & Interests | Hobbies: Korelii is a woman who is very pragmatic and practical, she takes pleasure wherever she can find it, in a long soak in the tub or a good home cooked meal. She is also quite mentally flexible as she has served on large ships and small ships. She also indulges her children's hobbies. Interests: Cooking, history in various forms, flying, making Holodeck programs for various people and events. various forms of combat training and being with her children. | Personal History | Korelii Unal as she is listed on her birth certificate was born in Kalandris City, on the northernmost continent of the Halanan homeworld of New Hallanna on September 26th, 2346 on the Terran calendar, in a lab, using genetic information taken from two Halanan scientists who had donated DNA for this effort. They were not informed of the success of the birth of Korelii Unal or the program's failure rate of over eighty percent. What nobody was told was that Korelii was an experiment in eugenics to produce a baby who would grow up with an exceptional level of power with her various abilities in telepathy and telekinesis. Korelii went into foster care as she was seized from her parents upon birth, as part of a military program into trying to resolve their population crunch. She was given into foster care, going to two Halanan scientists who could be assured that they would look after her and raise her to be a paragon of the state, their efforts failed but that didn't become apparent until Korelii was an adult. However the early years of Korelii's life was a bald-faced life, she was not conceived as she was instead created in a lab as an experiment in eugenics, various skill sets and traits were enhanced while others were diminished, her capacity for pain, however, was heightened as were the psionic areas of her brain. What is true however was that Korelii grew up as a cherished child and while she wanted for nothing, she also learned tolerance, respect and humility as grew up watching as her colony world was terraformed around her from a polluted hellhole into a paradise, this made Korelii appreciate Starfleet and as result, she would choose her profession, Engineering with a side of Operations. When she brought this to her parents, she was warned to never speak of this matter again and told to never think about it or consider it for a career option. That she should focus her efforts on helping the state with their reproductive problems rather than look to help people, not of her species. Korelii was raised to think of the state and all that eugenics crap, the state is mom and dad but Korelii was born of free will and free thought so she chooses... to look elsewhere... she didn't hold to the ideals the Halanan government could be argued to resemble much of Nazi Germany by this time and it could have been said that Korelii did not agree with the tone they were taking.. so she sought other places where she could grow and thrive, so she left New Halanna and joined Starfleet. this caused her to be exiled because she knowingly turned her back on her people. So they branded her as Attained and ended her. Or so they planned. She entered Starfleet Academy when she was eighteen except rather than go to Earth, she ended up on Alpha Centauri. Korelii survived an assassination attempt...and because it happened on Federation soil. On Alpha Centauri. Halanna was sanctioned by the Federation and told to wind its neck in, behave or you'll be removed from this Federation. Korelii was in Starfleet Academy by this point, alone and depending on her own wits and skills to survive. She proved herself a capable and diligent student, she excelled in classwork and theory and frequently scored extremely highly but often did poorly with Tactical so as it turned out she was good with her hands, she has taken extra tactical courses to cure her of these issues but she still replies on the computer for the bulk of her tactical work. She was just entering her third year when Wolf Three Five Nine occurred and the effects of that one battle were far reaching and devastating on many ways as the bulk of Starfleet's cadet corps was activated and placed on standby status, prepare to fight the Borg. Korelii was called up along with her classmates to prepare for what they believed would be the fight of their lives but at the last second, the USS Enterprise-D was able to pull a rabbit out of their hat and stop the Borg as they entered Earth orbit and Korelii as well as her comrades were all able to breathe a sigh of relief as well as go back to their studies, some went off for summer break but Korelii herself kept on going over the course of the summer and she went into her forth year at the academy with a brutal zeal that most assumed she'd burn out within a few weeks t a couple of months. While Korelii ran into various issues with her time at the academy, in the end she preserved and graduated. Korelii was assigned as an Operations Officer on the USS Osiris, a Nebula class ship fresh out of the shipyard is was here where Korelii would cut her teeth in Starfleet, she served here until the second Borg attack when her ship was called into the fight the cube near Earth space, it was chance and chance alone that helped her ship survive the one torpedo hit that she took, the effect of which caused the Osiris to loose her starboard nacelle as it was sheered off completely as well as hull damage to most of the surrounding superstructure. Korelii's next assignment was to the USS Pel-Gaash, pronounced as 'Pail Gash'. Korelii served on board this ship through most of the Dominion War, going across to the USS Benton, another Galaxy Class ship as the Pel-Gaash didn't have the opening for a Chief Operations Officer where the Benton, however, did so off Korelii went, she got to serve alongside some of the more colourful characters in the Eighth Fleet including Captain Issac Ross who apparently is a relation to Admiral William Ross. Some thought this was cause for sucking up to the skipper as Korelii watched the antics with amusement and some disdain but it was here she got to meet one of the enlisted guys, a man named Daniel McKnight after the battle of Andoria in which a dozen Federation ships were damaged and another dozen or so were destroyed, the Dominion effort to conquer Andoria was a failed effort and cost them several times what the Federation lost thanks in part to Andorian's orbital defence network. Korelii and Daniel hit it off quickly but they kept their friendship as low key as possible, citing the regs that prevented fraternization between officers and enlisted but this ended three months later when MacRae transferred into Engineering and Korelli was promoted to the second officer of the USS Benton. Over time Korelii came to realize that she was growing tired of the rules so she discussed the matter with Captain Ross who was more than willing to be reasonable on the matter, he cited that since she and MacRae were not in the same department that it wasn't really a concern. So with that last issue removed Korelii decided to pursue the relationship further. A month later she came to realize that she was pregnant with her first child so McKnight proposed to her, she accepted and her joy was increased when she learned she was pregnant with twins, she welcomed first, a twin boy and girl and then in quick succession, she produced two single children and then another set of twins before calling it there, she now had six children with her husband who by this time had followed her to their next assignment. The Steamrunner class USS Persepolis where Korelii served three years as Exec before the posting of Executive officer on the USS Frontiersman became available. When she was offered the posting, she accepted without question so she then moved her family over to her new assignment and within a year, she was the new commanding officer of the Frontiersman before she left on an eight-year mission into the Gamma Quadrant, alone and with a full crew compliment before returning to find a Federation changed by the Hobus events. After returning her ship was brought in to be refitted and reloaded with supplies for the Romulan relief efforts but these hopes were quickly dashed by the wholesale havoc brought by the Narada, the near destruction of the Enterprise-E and the loss of a fleet of Klingon ships. Korelii was forced to deal with the complicated affairs of the matter but she delivered her supplies are ordered to the Romulan colony of Archener prime before the Frontiersman was ordered to meet up with a Starfleet battlegroup that was getting to set to take on the Narada when she disappeared, Ambassador Spock also disappeared around the same time and place so the ships assigned went in search of both, only to turn up nothing other than temporal readings and unusual gravimetric readings. Korelii and her crew was assigned to an exploration mission out in the Gum Nebula that would last three years and so after loading new personnel, equipment and supplies, off she and her crew went, throughout the rest of the twenty-three eighties and early nineties they were away from home as their ship blazed new paths through space, doing what all good starfleet crews seek to do. However, it all ended in early 2391, with the USS Frontiersman being crippled in an attack by several 'cozmozoans.', the ship's shields collapsed almost instantly with two of them beginning to 'eat' into the saucer section. Phasers seemed to only feed them more energy so Korelii and her crew used the main deflector to set to an inverse graviton pulse to drive off the spaceborne lifeforms, shattering two of them and wounding the third who fell while fleeing to a group of armoured spaceborne jelly's. The encounter was something of a victory for the Frontiersman and her crew, all of whom survived the assault but the damage was extensive, warranting the return of the ship and crew to Starbase One Eighty-Five, also to make matters worse the damage was to both the saucer and the stardrive sections. Korelii's worst fears were confirmed when she was told her ship would have to be scrapped, she was too badly damaged and she wasn't keeping pace with the new Andromeda variant of the Galaxy-class now entering service. Korelii's crew was scattered to the astral winds while command deliberated on what to do with her, after six months leave she was given a choice of three assignments, accept a promotion to Commodore and take over commanding a battlegroup, take over command of Starbase Sixty Three or accept command of the USS Hermes, the last was one of the new Champion class ships that were still undergoing construction, the ship would be ready in three months time for shaking down and the like. Korelii settled on commanding the USS Hermes with a temporary assignment teaching a tactical class at the academy on Alpha Centauri. Her family were settled into the orbital Starbase over Alpha Centauri and it was here where she began teaching while waiting for her next assignment to be completed. While there Korelli began looking into the situation surrounding Halana and her people, it was also where she found out that she wasn't the only Halanan in Starfleet. There were over three dozen others and the most senior ranking of them all was a woman named Commander Torilla Yamaguchi, while the two women had not met, she looked close though to herself in looks that Korelii became curious about it. eventually learning the two were actually full siblings. This was a major revelation to Korelii as she truly thought she had no kin in the universe. Two weeks later. Captain Korelli MacRae was able to the USS Hermes as her new commanding officer. Her husband was assigned to the Courageous as a favour to Korelli, she wanted to know what her twin was like without revealing the truth to the other woman so she kept her children with her as she went off to the Hermes. As time passed and the war with the Klingons regarding the annexation of Gorn space came and went. Korelii was forced to face the loss of the only family she had as she was informed that Torilla had been killed in battle, this awoke something dark in the young woman as she desired revenge for Torilla's passing. The only thing that stopped her from going on a genocidal rampage was the news that Torilla had been revived but the happy news was tempered with news of what had happened to Torilla and Korelii's parents and the medical issues they had passed onto their children and grandchildren. Korelii had gotten her children checked for the issues at hand and they were all cured of their concerns, once and for all. Except Korelii would need more than simple medical intervention to save her own life, she decided to have her eyes replaced with bio-synthetic implants and now she's still waiting for a comprehensive cure for her various other issues. Little did she knew that her wish was soon to be granted and she would become the first of a new breed of Halanan, free of any medical woes. When that happened, she would find herself reevaluating what she was doing and what she wanted out of life itself. |
