Posted on Sun Jul 31st, 2022 @ 7:54am by Post Captain Anandra Delair & Captain Tienn Kerris & Lieutenant Commander Megan Halifax & Master Chief Petty Officer Suvek & Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi & Commander Masako Anderson

Mission: Mission 115: The Pale-Fac'd Moon looks Bloody on the Earth
Location: Various Locations - USS Grey Wolf
Timeline: 1500Hrs - November 11th, 2393

Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi tapped the display before her. "Well. We're almost finished with the reprovisioning," she commented to the Bajoran woman standing beside her, in silence. Tienn nodded her head but otherwise, she said nothing.

"Something wrong, number one?," Yamaguchi asked of the Bajoran beside her.

"No Captain. I was just contemplating our mission." Commander Tienn Kerris answered in her usual soft dulcet tones. "The Hermes has said that they will proceed at warp eight point four. So that puts our arrival at zero five hundred local times. We do have a little extra distance to cover." she explained what she was thinking about.

"Makes sense," Yamaguchi answered with a gentle nod of her head. "But, number one. We do have another issue we should discuss." The Halanan explained. "You will be handling the talks if any are to take place between us and them," she explained. "You're the only one between, you, and me. Commodore MacRae and Commander Denisov who isn't compromised." Yamaguchi explained. "Denisov because he doesn't think he could be objective, considering what happened to Korelii MacRae. MacRae and I share the same issue... We're both exiles. This leaves you."

Tienn smiled. "Leave this matter with me, Captain. I will handle it." the Bajoran answered with a rather wide grin on her face. "I don't have the issues you do, so I can tend to matters." she paused. "Do I get to address the other issue?" before she gave Yamaguchi a rather pointed look.

"No. Leave my exile out of it. But they might suspect that I'm here anyway.." Yamaguchi answered. "No. Leave it be unless they address it." she then let out a long, soft sigh. "If they do, then I will let you handle the matter as you deem fit," Yamaguchi explained. "Thank you, number one. I'm going to go off watch and leave the matter with you." Yamaguchi turned and slowly walked off of the bridge in silence.

Lieutenant Masako Anderson turned her head as she regarded the Bajoran officer, a concerned look in her eye. "Commander?"

"The Captain knows what she's doing El-Tee," Tienn answered softly. "She's never let us down yet." she then sighed softly.

"I am concerned too." Suvek turned from the post he was looking after to regard the Bajoran woman whom he shared a bed with. "But this mission will be dealt with like all others. I have faith in the Captain."

"Faith. Isn't that emotional, Master Chief?" came the voice of Commander Anandra Delair, who was an El-Aurian woman. She had lived a very long time, and she and Captain Yamaguchi had known each other since the first days of their service together on Starbase Four Hundred. She had been sitting in her chair on the left side of the commanding officer. She gave the Vulcan male that she had been addressing, a rather easily grin on her lips.

"Not at all. Counsellor." Suvek answered with a nod of his head. "An expression of faith is not an emotion. It's a statement of fact," he explained. "I do not live by the tenants of Surak. I live by the tenants of myself. I must be true to myself, above all others."

"Thats profound," Anandra answered as she sat up in her chair. "You'll forgive my saying that I had never expected a Vulcan to ever say anything like that. I thought all Vulcans lived by the tenants of Surak."

"We do but not all follow them as closely as others. Everyone has to go their own way, and besides. My spouse here would find me dull company if I was as flat and boring as the average Vulcan." Suvek explained. "We are more unique than we let on. Some are more emotional. Some are more reserved. Some care about perception and others do not." he then shrugged. "My spouse is Bajoran. Our children are to the best of my knowledge. Unique... As in I do not believe there are any other Bajoran-Vulcan hybrid children in existence. Anywhere." he explained as he regarded his wife who was also the ship's Executive officer.

Anandra had no idea of what to say to that. She was still in deliberations with herself when the large Caitan female assigned to security giggled softly. "So the Master Chief isn't afraid to think and live for himself. Words to live by." Lieutenant Shomer'eggan, who was better known as 'Show' answered. Her philosophy on life was rather simple and direct. She worked for a living and then cranked iron in the gym. She was also not opposed to the random sexual encounter either as she had taken mates who were Caitian and some who were anything but Caitian. A little variety made life interesting for her.

"I am not afraid of anything. Lieutenant." Suvek commented. "I was simply pointing out the obvious. My family members are all Bajoran and thus, I have to consider them in how I live and work." Suvek explained.

Tienn Kerris regarded the conversation presently taking place on the bridge. She was going to interpret shortly with her round of orders but she would let the conversation run its course first. "Bridge to Engineering?" she commented.

"Engineering. Halifax here. Go ahead bridge?" came the response from Engineering.

"Commander. I'd like to be able to get underway the second our replenishment is completed. Can that be arranged?" Tienn inquired.

"We're ready to get underway whenever it's required, Commander." came the response.

"Excellent. I'll let you know when. Bridge out." Tienn finished with a gentle smile on her lips.
