| General Overview | Suvek is a Vulcan so he tends to be rather logical at times. He is also married to a rather fiery Bajoran woman so he tends to enjoy indulging in her hobbies and passions. As he is somewhat alone in the universe, he tends to spend his time learning about the Bajoran culture rather then his own. For him, an evening of 'Light reading' can revolve around reading about Quantum Gravity or String Theory or developing computational models of steller mass black holes. |

| Personal History | Suvek was born on Vulcan in 2339. His mother at the time was a Master Chief and she was suffering from a rather rare degenerative condition that was slowly killing her. Just days after she delivered Suvek, she died as the stress of the birthing was more then her body could handle. It was just Suvek and his father growing up and while the two men had their closeness as a result, there were issues that only got worse as time went along. By the time Suvek was a teenager, his father was openly ignoring him and by the time Suvek finished in the Vulcan school system and was an adult by the standards. His father had all but thrown him out of the residence. Suvek decided that he needed to become his own man and so he went off into the Vulcan Science academy, he spent three years here learning about the intricacies of the universe and everything that made it work. He also had a lot of rage built up from his childhood which he had repressed but it all came out during his first pon far at age fourteen. He was required to find a mate and while he did. it didn't go well for either as she found him too violent and he found her too bland. So off to Starfleet, went Suvek and his second Pon-Far at age twenty one did not help matters as a human woman who was one of his classmates, gently assisted him with his issues. Likewise she found him too violent and he found her to be agreeable, he realized he wasn't ready for any serious relationship at the time. The two of them went back to class after a couple of days rest to recover from the ordeal but neither of them spoke about the encounter to anyone else, even when prompted. His service in Starfleet was noteworthy in that he excelled more in the tactical department far more than he ever did in the sciences. His first assignment was to the USS Merlin as he was forced to do double duty in science and tactical and this created an issue which needed to be resolved by going into one department full time or the other. He settled for Tactical and he was reassigned to Starbase 324 and within a year he became an expert on the Borg. During his assignment at Starbase 324, he was actually at the base for less then a year of all the time he was based here, he was off elsewhere assisting design teams with Project: Defiant, the Project: Sovereign and Project: Prometheus. Later he was tasked with assisting with the refitting the Galaxy Class to make it more survivable and the improvements to Project: Akira and Project: Valiant which was later canceled. He often looks back on this period on his life with great nostalgia and he misses many of the people who worked with him but in 2369 he went through the pon-far a third time and this time it was a human woman named Leila Reeves who assisted him with matters. Both of them remember the event fondly as Leila became one of Suvek's best friends as a result of the event. His next posting was to the USS Vel'dna under the command of Captain Traci MacIntosh, she stood in at 5'6 and was an exceptionally good-looking human woman who got along with Suvek quite well, it was she who was able to smooth off his rough edges and the lack of social graces. Suvek flowered under her attention. All good things must end and this was no exception as Suvek was promoted to Commander and offered command of the USS Lancaster, a Nebula Class starship which he commanded through some of the most brutal fights in the war with the Dominion. He was there from first shot to last. During the war, he received news that his father had been killed in the Dominion's attack on Vulcan early in the war. After the war ended and the USS Lancaster went in for a major refit, he was contemplating retirement or at least a long-term leave of absence so rather than make the choice right away, he decided to contact several of his friends and associates. One of them was now commanding her own ship. The USS Nath'qu, one of the Steamrunner class ships which did well during the war with a combat record about half as long as Lancaster's. It was around this time that his forth pon-far came around and this time it was an Andorian Shen who assisted with matters, she called it 'the greatest sex she'd ever had' and he also looks back on this event fondly as well. Suvek decided to turn in his commission and instead he chooses to become an enlisted man, he was given the rank of Chief Petty Officer and he excelled in the area that he had far less work to do but it was also different, he was now looking after warheads and unruly enlisted people. It was here he met a young Bajoran woman named Tienn Kerris, their relationship started off slowly as she wanted to see if he was worth it, considering she had just ended a long-term relationship because he wanted more then she felt she was ready for and he terminated it as a result. She was not a happy woman so it took a few years for their relationship to bloom. The two of them hit it off rather slowly as they both took the time to build up their relationship but six months into it, he suddenly went into the pon-far several years early thanks to an encounter with several dozen Orion slaves and Kerris helped him with matters. Suvek realized that here stood someone who was worthy of getting to know as she did not need to offer herself to him but she did, saving his life in the process. Their relationship quickly deepened as a result of this, him seeing into her mind and her seeing his as they both realized that their feelings were shared by the other in the relationship. Matters between them were compounded by the fact that Tienn had become pregnant with their first child by him but Kerris realized that Suvek was not the average Vulcan and she wasn't the average Bajoran so the two ended up getting married as a result. Over the next few years along few children would come along as Suvek followed his wife from assignment to assignment. From the Nath'qu to the Pel-Gaash to the Koral. A Steamrunner to a Galaxy and then back to the Steamrunner class a second time. It was her assignment to the Nevsky which she greatly relished and she would miss it after being posted to the Argonne as their new Chief of Security. He was asked to report to April Yamaguchi and was told rather bluntly "Clean this ship up. Use whatever methods are needed but I want this ship cleaned out of malcontents, imbeciles, and idiots." His marching orders clear. Suvek began to settle into life on the Argonne as their new Chief of the Boat, a year later Suvek was promoted to Master Chief as he followed his wife over to the USS Grey Wolf. |
