Division Admiral Sildra Vaxx-Warfield groaned as she slid her lithe form into her chair. She looked down at her booted feet. Before she suddenly peeled off her boots, letting out a loud groan as she did so. These new boots were terrible and she hated breaking in new boots. "Fuck, this sucks." the Bolian woman groused while she gently rubbed her foot. "I wish the kids would stop hiding mom's boots," she added aloud. "How does Siaxx tolerate this nonsense, I'll never know," she added, referring to her sister in law.

The com system beeped at her. "Admiral Vaxx-Warfield. You have an incoming communication on secure channel six. It's Admiral Emerson." came the explanation as to why Vaxx-Warfield was being bothered here and now.

Vaxx-Warfield straightened up as she tapped her combadge. "Copy com centre, route it in here and I'll make the call in here," she commented as she tapped the monitor on her desk. "I wonder why Admiral Emerson is requesting a few minutes of my time?." she commented aloud. "Well. I'll find out in a moment." the Bolian woman commented softly as she sighed softly.

She regarded the monitor as Emerson's face appeared before her. "Admiral." Vaxx-Warfield greeted him with a smile. But there was no disguising how she felt. She was in a permanent state of irritation at the whole universe recently. Merris was demanding, that alone was enough but the rest of the kids were being kids. Hiding mom's shoes on her because they think it's funny.

"Rough night Sildra?" Emerson inquired of her.

"Infants are demanding." Vaxx-Warfield lamented. "The kids also have a little game going where they make mom's boots vanish... So I'm stuck replicating new boots and constantly breaking them in. I'm going to sort this matter out tonight. I've had enough of this shit." the Bolian woman explained in an angry tone of voice. "But you didn't call me to listen to me complain." the Bolian added, she paused as she took a moment to pull herself back together. She inhaled slowly through the nose and then out through the mouth. She repeated this exercise several times. "My apologies Admiral. Thank you for your patience," she added after a moment.

Emerson smiled gently at the woman before him. "You forget that I've been in your position several times. It's all good Sildra. I understand intimately how you feel most days." as he grinned at her.

The Bolian woman smiled at her boss. "I appreciate your kind words, Paul. What can I do for you on this particular day?" she inquired of him.

"I was wondering what capital class ships you had available... Most of the Ninety-second is down with various issues and problems. Tom Lasky is also unable to help, despite being heavily reinforced." Emerson explained.

"The demands of state being what they are. I'm suprised anyone has anything to spare at the present time." Vaxx-Warfield explained with a soft sigh of resignation. She then picked up a PADD. "I have... Only two ships available," she explained. "The Grey Wolf and the Hermes," she added. "Both need reprovisioning, however."

"Carl Patterson is seeing to that as we speak," Emerson answered. "I need both ships for an assignment to New Halana. We need to find out what's going on with that broadcast," he commented. "Hopefully both ships can find a p[eacefull solution before this matter gets further out of hand."

Vaxx-Warfield regarded Emerson with a soft smile on her face. "The Halanan's kinda remind me of Siaxx on some level. Attractive to look at but angry as fuck. Siaxx and the average member of the Halanan government have much in common." Vaxx-Warfield reffered to her sister-in-law. The spat between the two Bolians was well known.

"I'll try not to remember you said that," Emerson answered in a rather dry tone of voice. "So, once their reprovisioning is complete. You'll send them?" he inquired of the Bolian woman before him.

"I will," Vaxx-Warfield answered. "As you say, maybe they can find a solution but what if they can't.?" the Bolian woman asked of her boss. "Then what?"

"It doesn't matter, they can either cooperate with us or we will have to take further steps," Emerson answered. "Considering the resources they obtained from us. Those were not cheap and nor were they readily replaceable. From what I recall, we needed to slow the resettlement of Retep Three over it."

"Those idiots." Vaxx-Warfield groused. "They owe us an explanation for that if nothing else." She was speaking of both worlds, and it showed too.

"Indeed." Emerson agreed with the Bolian before him. "Well... Hopefully, we can work something out with these guys before this gets stupid."

"You think it'll come to war.?" Vaxx-Warfield inquired of him.

"As Tom Lasky would say. Open war is upon you m'lady, wheither you'd risk it or not." Emerson answered her. "We should get the old band back together for a drink." he commented with a wide smile. "At least we're all serving here in the Taurus Reach."

"Someday. We will." Vaxx-Warfield agreed. "I'd best go contact my two ladies, get them ready for anything."

"Indeed. I will talk with you later. Emerson out." With that, she found herself admiting the Federation wreath as she sat back in her chair, one of her feet was gently rubbing the other foot, to sooth its pain.
