Commander Tienn Iteela slowly moved down the hallway, her girlfriend and intended walking beside her, the two emerged onto the Starbase Plaza. "I don't think there is a Bajoran shrine present on the Starbase," Tienn commented in an apologetic tone. "But I think there is a Polynesian shrine here."

Gyce raised an eyebrow. "I've never heard of them, who are they?"

"They are a people from Earth, some of them departed and founded their own colonies. Calliope spoke of them." Tienn explained with a soft sigh. "Apparently these were the same guys who married Elizabeth and her husband," she added in a quiet tone of voice. "Starbase Twelve was another one of the same group."

"Are you and Elizabeth still not getting along?" Gyce inquired. "I thought you two had resolved that issue..."

"We resolved that one but she does not trust me," Tienn answered evenly. "She considers me a danger to herself and to her unborn child. As she is pregnant, I decided to not force the issue and leave it be." Tienn then shrugged her shoulders in a matter that said she didn't care. "Besides, I'm gone as of the first of the months so what do I care?"

Gyce found she had few words for that statement so she sighed. "I will miss you," she commented. "I will also help your folks with your children while you are gone."

"I appreciate that," Tienn answered. "You ready for this.?"

"We have waited long enough... it was my mistake breaking up with you the first time... that's what lead me to-" Gyce started before Tienn interrupted. "What happened was not your fault Gyce..." Tienn interrupted her. "You are way too hard on yourself... You always were. I made mistakes too.." Tienn responded as she gently took the other woman's hand in her own. "It'll work out, somehow." As she walked into the shrine, the doors to the entrance parted on her approach, she went over to the receptionist. "Hey, we're looking to get married and we were wondering if the priest could fit us in."

"Hello, ladies. Let me check really quickly." and the young man called up the display as he went to work, with Tienn's request. "She has two hours before her next engagement. She can fit you in. Is now good?"

Tienn and Gyce both nodded. "Yes, now is very good. thank you."

"Ah... then as I am free for the next hour... I will attend to your wedding myself... I assume something small with a large reception later?" The priest commented with a smile.

"Yes," Tienn responded with a smile. "We wanted something quiet and small... for ourselves.. the reception is for everyone else."

Tienn and Gyce shared a look while the priest smiled. "Are you guys prepared?" he inquired. "Very well... I will make this simple and brief."

Tienn and Gyce both turned to face each other as Tienn went first with her vows. "I Tienn Iteela, take you, Gyce Benice to be my wife, I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and bad, in sickness and health, to love you and to honor you all the days of my life." she finished with a gentle smile on her lips.

Gyce couldn't think of anything decent so she repeated her new spouse's lines back to her, except with her own twist. "I, Benice Gyce, take you Tienn Iteela to be my wife, I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and bad, in sickness and health, to love you and to honor you all the days of my life." it sounded lame in her ears but everyone else seemed okay with it so she settled for being happy rather than critiquing her lines.

"Rings are optional... you don't need to have them now..." the priest explained. "and by the power vested in me... I now pronounce you wife and wife..." he added. "you may now kiss your bride." he said to Tienn who was closer to him then Gyce was.

Tienn gently slid her arms around Gyce's torso as her lips met her new spouses while Gyce gently held her new wife close to her.

The Priest smiled. "I'll go and see the judge... get you a marriage license sorted out." and with that he departed in silence.
