Commander Tienn Iteela regarded her girlfriend as she lightly tapped her combadge. "Tienn to Hospital.?"

Galiaan Fordring was sitting at the front desk as the call came in. She taped the display. "Fordring here, whats up Iteela?" she inquired.

"I'm not going to be able to come in tonight Galiaan," Tienn responded in a gentle tone of voice as she pulled her uniform tunic on over the undershirt she had just donned. Gyce meanwhile was pulling her boots back on.

The tone of the conversation changed quickly. "Why, what's wrong?." Fordring inquired, the concern could be heard in her tone of voice as this was clearly unusual for Tienn. The large Vrykul female was concerned as this was very much no like how Tienn normally did things.

"I'm getting married," Tienn answered evenly. "Then I need to go and pester Captain Rabb for a marriage license," Tienn added with a gentle smile.

There was silence for a few seconds before the response came back. "Oh." Fordrings response seemed somewhat complete. "Tienn, are you sure this is wise?" she inquired. "Is this a good idea?" she sounded very confused more than anything else.

It was Gyce who answered this time. "Its good to hear your voice too, Galiaan."

Fordring blinked, she had heard those dulcet tones before but she couldn't place them, she frowned when suddenly it hit her. "Benice... Is that you?" Fordring inquired after a moment of pondering who the strange female voice was.

"Yes, Galiaan. Its been awhile."

"What are you doing on the Starbase?" the inquiry slipped out before Fordring could consider it.

"As luck or good fortune would have it, I'm in charge of the SCIS presence here in the Taurus Reach," Gyce answered.

Fordring paused. "I was not informed," she admitted. "Alright, you two. Congratulations." she paused for lack of anything better to say on the subject.

"Alright Galiaan," Tienn answered this time. "Tienn out." and with that, the comline went dead. Fordring sighed softly as she shook her head while she proceeded to lambast herself. 'Idiot woman. What the fuck was that?!' as the Chief who normally manned the desk came over. "Thanks, for looking after things for me Doctor... What's wrong?" the Andorian Chan noted the look on the massive female's face and he was suddenly curious.

"Tienn just called," Fordring answered in a gingerly tone of voice as if dealing with a grievous injury. "She's getting married, all of a sudden, its right out of the black. No warning whatever." the older female explained. "Tasmin did this same routine when she got married," Fordring explained. "I was more concerned with her well-being than her marriage or relationships." the older female sighed softly.

The Chan regarded her with a gentle smile. "Don't worry about it, it's always good to be concerned about our friends and family, that does not reflect poorly on you, it just means that you care a great deal about their wellbeing," he explained.

Fordring shook her head. "I didn't know who William Antilles was. What kind of a person he was going to be and how he was going to treat my daughter, it turned out that I had assumed the worst and worked backward. When my eldest got married, it was the same thing except Sam was much more direct on the subject. He tried to assure me that things would be well and I didn't listen to him." she sighed softly. "So Tirion tried and he was able to succeed where I failed. He also was able to assure me that the issue was resolved and that I didn't need to worry about it anymore."

"Your concerned about the past repeating itself?" the Chan asked of Fordring.

"I am." the massive female explained evenly. "Tienn has been through a great deal. Especially over the last year and I'm concerned about her, she's leaving in a couple of months for an assignment out of medical and into command. I don't know if Doctor Tienn is ready to become Commander Tienn." she admitted. "Maybe I am letting my personal feelings get in the way," Fordring admitted.

"No, your not." Lt Commander Calliope Pravdin-Burgoyne interrupted. "Doctor, I could use many words to describe you, but someone who is ignorant and doesn't learn from her mistakes is not among them," she commented. "You look after those who can't help themselves and you see those smaller than you as those who require protecting, would you not agree?."

Fordring regarded the smaller female before her, she nodded her head before she could stop herself. "I do," she answered. "You recall Nalla Furban?"

"I do. I remember her quite well." Pravdin-Burgoyne answered with a soft smile. "Elizabeth speaks of her from time to time, it was something about her mother causing one of the two pineapple incidents with Nalla."

"Well, there is a story behind that, both events actually. Torilla was the cause of the first and Plataea Lasky was the cause of the second, add in Orion hormones and Deltan abilities with Halanan telepathy, and you get everyone having sex for hours." Fordring suddenly grinned. "For me, it was educational. I think I got nailed by two of my male medics... They are not very good so I don't really consider it a benchmark to go by."

Pravdin-Burgoyne nodded her head. "I was on Dreamcrusher and as luck would have it, I was with my husband and we were at home, the sex was simply amazing," she commented with a grin. "Then there was Elizabeth, who got nailed by Tom Lasky."

"Yep. The second time around anyway. Kameron was not amused but he didn't complain too much as he nailed one of my medics." Fordring answered. "I almost wish he had nailed me, it would have made the whole event more memorable," she added. "Elizabeth has always had a complex and complicated relationship with Tom Lasky, considering he bedded her and her mother and her aunt. All in the span of about eight months."

"Wow. That's impressive, and he ended up with Plataea too. I suspect that there was always a little something going on. Torilla needed to get a little unwrapped." Pravdin-Burgoyne sighed. "I hear she's leaving us soon."

"She's heading out to take command of the USS Grey Wolf." Fordring paused. "I wanted to go with her but... Starfleet didn't give it to me."

"I see. You would have made an outstanding Chief Medical Officer." Pravdin-Burgoyne answered. "Why didn't they let you go?"

"Because they want me to serve as a part-time instructor here, plus I have Siaxx to look after. She's pregnant with twins."

"What?" Pravdin-Burgoyne sounded shocked. "She's so small, how is she going to bring two to term?" she inquired.

"Magic." Fordring suddenly grinned. "and me."

"You make my brain hurt." Pravdin-Burgoyne answered with a smile. "Come on, let's go for coffee..."

"Yes. Let's do that." and with that, Fordring rose to her feet and the two women departed together.
