Mission: Mission 111: The Sorrows of Night
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 0910Hrs - October 24th, 2393

Doctor Galiaan Fordring regarded Doctor Elizabeth Yamaguchi-Solusar as she spoke, she then nodded her head. "I don't think he knows about his uncle."

"He's not said... But I've not asked." Yamaguchi-Solusar answered quietly. "All things considered... No thanks to Peeves, fucking menace is what he is..." she commented. "Which turned my relationship with Tom Lasky from smooth and sophisticated to special needs in one go." she paused. "Still... Don't get me wrong, he taught me a few things about the arts of sex that really opened my eyes... It also didn't help that during the event, I forged a psionic bond with him for the duration of the event, he could see my entire life... and I could see his..." Yamaguchi-Solusar looked crestfallen. "What's worse was I never meant to do it..."

Fordring listened in silence. "You think you have caused him physiological issues?" she inquired gently.

"I do," Yamaguchi-Solusar admitted.

Fordring paused, this wasn't an issue for her to deal with as it wasn't her department. But she did have other issues to deal with at hand. "But Beth, you never really answered my question..." Fordring commented quietly. "Are you still happy with being in medicine?" It was an honest question but Fordring was unsure if she wished to know the answer to said question. Yamaguchi-Solusar was one of the more skilled Doctors on the Starbase, she was also someone who did a lot of work,m more than her fair share of said work and it did not help that Yamaguchi-Solusar never took time off, even when it was offered or when she needed to. That by itself had to stop once and for all.

"Honestly..." Yamaguchi-Solusar knew that they had arrived at the very heart of the matter before them both, why they were here, having this on chat over a cup of mutual discontent, and a dish of shared resentment. "No," she admitted. "I'm not... I'm not happy... All I ever do is work... and work and work... I'm neglecting my children and spouse... Kam was right to call me on it... He says I'm overworking myself and that I should ask the question why... Well, I'm asking and I don't like the answers I'm getting..."

"Wait... You're unhappy being married." Fordring had not expected this, the look on her face said as much.

"No..." Yamaguchi-Solusar paused. "No, err yes I am happy... Being married I mean... Kam is gentle with me, he spends more time with Robert in one day than I do in a week, he looks after me when I need sleep... and he also handles the other issues..." she paused. "I've been unfair to him. I am also being a poor excuse for a parent."

Fordring knew that Yamaguchi-Solusar was being unfair to herself and everyone around her. "But you still had set yourself quite the goal to reach and you did get there... Granted you could have taken a little longer but... I can understand..." she admitted.

"You say that so easily Galiaan... You have young children of your own, children who are old enough to be my parents, grandkids who are my age, and even great-grandkids who are Saki's age... You have done really well for yourself... Me... I have no idea what I'm doing anymore..."

"You are being too hard on yourself Beth..." Fordring answered. "You knew what you were in for... Besides there is no shame in saying it's not doing it for you anymore, moving into command is no disgrace..." she commented. "Even if you'll spend a year or so at the command college..."

"I do not need to be rushing into making that choice yet Galiaan... I need to worry about my pregnancy and child first..." Yamaguchi-Solusar explained. "This has been a long road that's brought me to Vanguard's doorstep and this pregnancy has been stupidly stressful for all involved. No thanks to that psionic incident a few months back... It was only thanks to Doctor Paris and the Master Chief that I was able to get any sleep over the last while."

"I know," Fordring answered quietly. "Still Beth, I recommend you sit down or share a bath with your spouse... and discuss this with him... Somewhere out of the way... Let him have his way with you before so he has no energy after you fuck him into the ground." as the massive woman slowly smiled. "After all... I'm willing to bet you could be up for a few hours of heavy lust."

"I am," Yamaguchi-Solusar answered with a gentle smile. "I'm sure Kam will enjoy it.. and then after we're both half dead... We can discuss matters."

"Good," Fordring answered with a gentle smile. "I do not need to worry about him losing his temper even though I don't think he will. Kam has learned much from his time being married to you.. and his time learning from Admiral Lasky," she explained with a nod of her head.

"Kam does need to talk with Tom and try to rebond with him... I'll assist matters there too... Fordrunitly I have an aunt who can assist me with this effort." Yamaguchi-Solusar gave the other woman a rather saucy grin. "Kam is outnumbered and he's trapped... Hopefully, he'll agree."

"We can hope sweetie," Fordring responded.
