"Matthew had other commitments and so did I," Brislan answered with a soft sigh. "Tom Lasky got in the way."

"Ahh yes... I forgot that you two dated, why did you two date anyway?" Dvald-Vaxx inquired rather bluntly. "Lasky was far better than Matthew anyway... He's much more capable and he's also easier to deal with..."

Brislan glared at the small framed Bolian. "Well... For the record... I always thought Matthew more capable and easier to get along with... Lasky went from me to Zara Tane... What was it that he saw in that little psychopath anyway...?"

Dvald-Vaxx considered it for a moment before she shook her head, she had agreed to try to live in peace with Lasky, for as long as they were working together. "I have no idea... Why don't you ask his present spouse and mother to his four children...?" the small Bolian commented. "I wonder if Plataea and you would get along... or maybe you won't"

"I had heard something about Torilla... Is it true though... That she has a twin sister?" Brislan inquired.

"Torilla has three sisters actually. Plataea and Laneli are her twin's and she has Korelii as well. Both have families... and I am told that Plataea does have a hard time sharing her husband with anyone else." Dvald-Vaxx explained.

"See... That's what I expect from you." Brislan answered quietly as she regarded the small Bolian woman who was giving her an impassive stare.

"No. Chen is free to see the companionship of others, should he wish it. It's the same for me." Dvald-Vaxx answered in a tone that was barely civil as she glared darkly at the other woman.

It was at this point that Chen showed up. "Ladies..." he addressed them both. "Your voices are carrying and we don't need the hotel management thinking that there is a fight in the swimming pool," he commented in a quiet tone of voice before he sat down next to his much smaller spouse, Siaxx gently rested against him as Vaxx slid an arm around her torso.

Brislan sighed. "Siaxx... All we ever do... is fight, bicker and argue," she commented as she regarded the small Bolian female across from her.

"Yes, did you ever stop to ask why?" Dvald-Vaxx answered softly.

"No," Brislan answered softly, she had but she wanted to bait Siaxx out first. She didn't expect it to backfire so easily or so quickly.

"Liar," Dvald-Vaxx answered hotly. "Tressa. You are not that stupid and nor are you that ignorant." as she regarded the human woman before her. "Do not assume that I am as well. Come on... Give me a break..."

Brislan sighed. "Siaxx... You have not changed..." she shook her head.

"Neither have you, Tressa..." Dvald-Vaxx answered softly.

"Ladies." Vaxx regarded Brislan as he gently nudged his spouse. "Siaxx..." she commented. He could see that this was getting out of hand and it showed too. Brislan sighed softly as she went to the side of the pool while Dvald-Vaxx slid her pregnant form into the pool, she regarded the smaller frames human with a pensive look in her eyes.

Vaxx decided that now it was time to intervene. "Ladies, this arguing is not helping. We came here for a quick romantic getaway from the Starbase and all its issues... I don't think either of us was expecting you, Tressa." he commented. "Clearly you two have issues and bad blood between you... So, where did this start and why has this been allowed to fester for so long?" Vaxx commented. "Remember ladies, we are in public so keep it civil please," he added the last in a quiet tone of voice which indicated how annoyed he was on the matter.

"This started when we had that argument on the USS Roanoke," Brislan explained.

"Yes. I remember." Dvald-Vaxx answered in a light tone of voice. "You accused me of being the monster in Phoenix's life and she deserved to be free of such fears... Well. Where is she... Now.?" Dvald-Vaxx answered. "You called me the monster even after the fact that she very nearly killed me that night on Starbase 400." the small Bolian added.

"Oh. yes." Brislan sighed, she had forgotten about that detail.

"You forgot about that..." There was a quiet acceptance in Dvald-Vaxx's voice rather than a harsh tone. "She scared me to death and yet I thought I could help her." the small Bolian woman shrugged. "But yet, in your eyes, I was the monster... I viewed it rather differently."

Vaxx regarded his spouse. "How did you see it Siaxx?" he inquired gently.

"We both lost. We were both victims... I did not blame her for reacting as she did, even when she smashed my face in... I was able to work my way past it...
But I had my issues with it... But you didn't see things like that. You believed she was the victim... and I... I was the monument to all her sins."

"That's not true," Brislan answered quietly.
