Mission: Mission 108: Grains of Sand
Location: Various Locations - USS Infinity
Timeline: 1130Hrs - October 26th, 2393

Commander Theris Dvald-Veldama smiled as she reached her destination, she regarded her husband who was bringing the stroller with him, while she carried most of their supplies and belongings. He wore a backpack while she had a backpack and two duffels, one in each hand, she had a rather muscular build unlike many of her siblings but like many of her female siblings, she was small of stature and frame but like Siaxx, she was muscular and well built but unlike Heris, she was shorter than average and it showed. Theris carried a stocky build and while she wore it well, it also highlighted her femaleness.

"You okay?" Drass Veldama regarded the smaller Bolian nearby, with a look of concern in his eye. "You seemed to zone out for a moment."

"Mmm..?" Dvald-Veldama paused. "Oh, sorry... I was daydreaming for a moment," she admitted with a soft smile on her lips. "You ready.?" she inquired of him.

He nodded as he regarded her before he indicated the nearby transporter room doors with his hand. "We'll beam over, find home and then go get poked and prodded before I take you to bed and have my way with you."

"Sounds good to me." Dvald-Veldama was much like her siblings in that she liked a lot of physical attention from those she was sharing her bed with, she was unapologetic in seeking her own outlets for her frustrations rather than always sharing her husbands. While many of her siblings had only one mate, she was considering adding a second mate to her relationship with her husband and she knew he was considering adding another as well.

Veldama regarded his spouse for a moment. "Are you ready Theris?"

"Yeah." Dvald-Veldama knew that the time for talk, indecisiveness, and fear had past and it was now time to move forward and embrace her destiny, and see where this path led her. She bent over and picked up the two duffels before she walked into the transporter room before her, Veldama followed in silence as Dvald-Veldama proceeded to explain why she was wanting to be beamed over to the USS Infinity. Dvald-Veldama placed the duffels onto the ground before opening the messenger bag which she carried over her right shoulder before she produced three PADD's which she handed to the transporter operator.

The young man gave them the once over as he nodded. He then tapped a few keys at his station informing the Infinity of a transport request and they needed to prepare to receive the four people before him. The answer came back affirmative as he nodded. "The Infinity is ready for you." he then handed her back the three PADD's she had handed to him earlier. "Good luck Commander. Lieutenant." he addressed them both in order of seniority.

"Thanks," Dvald-Veldama answered with a smile on her lips, before she slid the PADD's back into her messenger bag and then she hefted her duffels, she then moved over to the transporter pad, her husband pushed the stroller over to the pad as well. A minute or so later they had gone from the large transporter room of the starbase to a smaller transporter room on the USS Infinity. Dvald-Veldama found herself looking up into the eyes of a woman who out massed her almost three to her one and was almost two foot in height taller then she, herself was. "Welcome aboard Doctor. Its good to meet you." the massive female commented. "I am Commander Morae Stormstout and I'm the Infinity's first officer."

"Thank you, Commander," Dvald-Veldama answered with a gentle smile. "Neither of us had expected the welcome." as she indicated her husband nearby.

"Indeed... Well. I know that the skipper will be wanting to meet with you both soonish but she was never specific on when so I will leave that up to you two to decide on." Stormstout commented. "So, where to first then?" she asked. "Quartermaster or sickbay?" she pressed further.

"Sickbay first... I wanna check-in and make sure things are in order." she turned to her husband. "Could you go get our new quarters and see to the kids?" she asked of him before she reached into her messenger bag and produced the three PADD's she had within, she handed them all over to him. "The Quartermaster will want those, just in case there are any screwups."

Stormstout nodded, she appreciated people who were direct and able to handle the unusual and unexpected. She watched the two Bolians before her interact before the younger male departed with the children and one of her two duffel bags, which led her with a rucksack, a duffel, and her messenger bag.
Stormstout regarded her. "Do you want a hand with those bags?" she asked.

"No thank you, Commander. I appreciate your offer though." Dvald-Veldama answered as she hefted the bags in her hand. "shall we?"

"Yes, this way." and with that, the two women went out the door and down the hall. "Infinity is presently in for a refitting job which should see her to her final tour of duty with starfleet. She's an older ship and I am told she'll be in for a refitting which will change her classification to something other than a Battlecruiser. We might be getting a new ship or we might not. Nobody's telling is anything on the subject... The skipper informed me about an hour ago of all these developments so I thought it was an idea to mention it now."

"Fair enough," Dvald-Veldama answered. "Sounds like Infinity's future might be up in the air. We shall see where things land and how it goes... For now, however. I'm more concerned with the crew and their physical health. The mental side of things I'll leave to the new Counselor, whoever he or she turns out to be." the small-framed Bolian explained.

"Fair enough." as the two women entered sickbay. "This is it Doctor, your new workspace," Stormstout commented with a nod of her head.

Dvald-Veldama smiled as she looked around at the workspace before her, the front desk looked like it was made from a large chunk of rock as the young human female regarded her. "Would you like me to call the staff forward Doctor?"

"No," Dvald-Veldama answered quietly. "I'll be demanding of them tomorrow, for now. let them carry on without me being a pain." the small-framed Bolian answered with a nod.

"Aye Doctor." as Stormstout smiled. "I can leave you here then?"

"Sure," Dvald-Veldama answered with a nod of her head. "By now, Drass will be getting the kids settled in, and then he will go and report in... I'll go home, freshen up, and then I'll meet with the skipper around thirteen hundred. Will that be satisfactory?" the small-framed Bolian female inquired of the massive woman before her.

"Completly Doctor. Welcome aboard." Stormstout answered before she turned and departed sickbay. Dvald-Veldama followed a moment later as she asked the computer for her new home, her answer was on deck six, section fifteen so Dvald-Veldama headed for the nearest turbolift, within a few minutes of the passage of time. Dvald-Veldama found herself outside her new home, the doors parted at her approach. She found herself looking into a none-descript set of senior officers quarters which Dvald-Veldama found herself liking, the floor space was open planned which meant she and Drass could plan out how they wanted their new home to look.

Drass Veldama himself was nowhere to be found which was just as well, he was checking in as he had said he would do. Dvald-Veldama checked on the babies first and she found them sleeping under the careful watch of the babysitting AI program. Dvald-Veldama was a young mother but she knew that several of her siblings had had several children of their own and she had been inundated with advice and helpful tips on what to do and what not to do. She smiled as she withdrew, happy to let her babies sleep as she went into the bedroom, she started to unpack as she knew that Drass would want to have his way with her body when he got home, in truth, she wanted it too as she unzipped the first bag and she began unpacking her things.
