Your Late. The System is Already Secure

Posted on Fri Mar 13th, 2020 @ 5:18am by Captain Worf, Son of Mogh & Commander Shireen Stark-Yamaguchi & Grand Admiral April Yamaguchi

Mission: Mission 92: O War! Thou Holy Son of Hell, Whom angry Heavens do Make their Minister,
Location: B kayor System - ACSF Noble
Timeline: June 26th 2392

Yuvo took the time to assess the situation with Nevanzi's task force. The task force had taken a heavy beating. 70% of the destroyers were out of action, along with half the cruisers. But in contrast, most of his monitors were in good shape, as well as the capital ships. Two battlecruisers, a battleship, and three fleet carriers were down. However it was fortunate that the Klingons didn't have a lot of weapons to deal with Akurian heavy armor, nor did they really develop proper tactics for countering Akurian ships. Likewise, the prowlers that Nevanzi had also fared rather well, the Klingons had to fail to effectively damage any of them due to poor anti Prowler tactics.

It was also fortunate most of Nevanzi's crews were alive and well too, so there were very few real casualties among his forces. But the task force would take months to get back to full operational status. OISU Independent fleets always carried a stock of reserve ships to replace ones heavily damaged by combat or accident quickly, however, the staging area for these ships was over a months travel away. However Yuvo wasted no time ordering these replacement ships to be moved to the front, and he ordered the reserve ship staging area to be moved to their universes Sherman system.

It had taken over an hour for Nevanzi to even explain what happened during his separation from the fleet. However, Ryuukei's story was even longer, due to him experiencing a temporal event. During this time Yuvo had his forces secure the area around B kayor and deter any enemy Klingon ships. However, unfortunately, there was one added complication to this scenario, and that was that not all Klingon ships were hostile. Some of these Klingon ships were even being driven by Ferasians while others were driven by Klingons who didn't like B'humkass, so Yuvo had to give orders to not fire unless they were fired on first.

Meanwhile, the space above B Kayor flashed as several thousand Federation ships appeared en mass. April Yamaguchi had come to this party herself, bringing every ship that wasn't nailed down on other assignments. She was sitting on her command bridge as she noticed that the battle was already over. "Impressive. Hail the Akurian command ship."

"Channel open."

"This is April Yamaguchi. I assume I am late?" she inquired.

Yuvo grabbed his handmic and responded to April's hail, "This is Admiral 1st class Yuvo of the 58th independent fleet. This system is secure, the enemy Klingons have driven out hours ago, and their leader B'humkass is dead."

"Understood then." Yamaguchi turned to her operations officers. "Have the fleet began returning to their previous assignments with my thanks."

"Aye Admiral." and with that, they went to work, moments later the Federation fleet began to break up as ships began disappearing off into warp.

April turned back to the display. "Could you explain what happened here? so I know how to draft up this report?"

"You might as well come on board then, because of its a bit of a story," Yuvo answered.

April simply rose to her feet. "Alright. I'm on my way." and with that, she started to the door. "Commander, feel free to disperse the fleet, they are clearly not needed anymore."

"Aye Admiral." the man responded as April departed, making her way to the hanger bay as the heavily pregnant woman knew that simply beaming over to an Akurian ship was a waste of effort.

Several minutes later she was inside her shuttle and flying towards the Akurian ship on his displays. "Akurian vessel. requesting permission to land."

"Permission granted."

April spent the next few minutes making her way into the Akurian hanger where she had been granted permission to land, she emerged from her shuttle a minute or so after she landed. She looked up and then around at the truly massive hanger bay before she went over to the entrance to the hanger. "Hello. Where is the command center?" she inquired of the first person she saw.

The next few minutes saw April moving towards the command center, reaching her destination a short time later. April entered the command center as she smiled. "Nice place," she commented.

Ryuukei had made himself at home in the ships command chair when he noticed April. "Oh, hi April."

April came over. "Ryuukei. fancy meeting you here. So. This is the Noble that you told me about. She is impressive." she paused. "I must acquire one for myself."

Ryuukei made himself look cute by wrapping his tail around himself, "Well, this is my real command after all."

Yamaguchi smiled. "So, you are going to leave Starfleet then?" she paused. "Well, I can't say I'm overly surprised with that but then it is what it is." she paused. "Okay.. so could someone please bring me up to speed on what's going on??"

Yuvo came into the command center, mentioning. "I take it your April Yamaguchi."

Yamaguchi nodded. "Yes. I am April Yamaguchi." the tall female responded. "What's up?"

Yuvo decided to explain how they got here, "Well, about two months ago we came across one of your ships, the USS Enterprise and the IKS Bortasque. They were both under attack and the Enterprise was severely damaged, but most of her crew is alive and still on this ship. They were able to lead us to the location of the wormhole linking your galaxy to ours, that's how we got here."

Yamaguchi smiled. "So. the Enterprise and the Bortasque were not both lost as we had thought," she responded. "That's great news. There are many who will be overjoyed."

"Nope, " Yuvo shook his head, "Though unfortunately Enterprise herself is probably too badly damaged to be usable. But then again her chief engineer told us the ship was on its way to being decommissioned anyway."

"Okay. Who else from the Federation made it over to your side?" Yamaguchi inquired.

Thirteen other Federation ships," Yuvo answered, "Plus multiple Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, Gorn and Dominion ships, all over the span of approximately 150 years."

"Okay." Yamaguchi smiled. "Well its good to know that not everyone we lost was in fact lost," Yamaguchi commented before a shorter than an average woman with blonde hair came around the corner, wearing the uniform of a Starfleet Captain. "Hello... Err Admiral." Shireen started.

"Captain," Yamaguchi responded. "What can I do for you.?"

Heather Yamaguchi-Johnson was standing nearby, turned to regard her older sibling. "April. Don't you know who that is?" she inquired. She was also wearing a pair of jeans and a shirt. "That's Shireen Yamaguchi. She used to command the USS Mohawk... She's also a lost relation of ours."

Shireen smiled. "You know me?"

"You were the one who destroyed a Klingon patrol at the end of the four years war." Yamaguchi-Johnson grinned at the shorter female. "We are a couple of your descendants. I am Heather and this is my older sister April."

April blinked. "Shireen Yamaguchi, the legend herself. Well. This is a surprise."

Yamaguchi-Johnson sighed softly before she turned to the Akurians. "How did you find her?"

Yuvo shook his head, "I personally do not know."

Shireen regarded the two women before her. "I will tell you my story over coffee later if you ladies prefer.."

"We would," Heather answered. "I very much want to hear this story. April's just being bitchy because she's pregnant."

"I am 'not' being bitchy!" April growled at her sibling.

"Oh yes you are," Heather responded with a rather wide grin on her face.

"Ladies. Please?" Shireen commented with a smile. "Okay. Let's finish the other business at hand before we get carried away. You two are related to me, you behave worse than my children did." Shireen suddenly smiled.

"I think I am insulted." April retorted.

"Good," Shireen answered. "Yuvo. What were you saying before we got sidetracked.?"

"I've said all I've needed to say," Yuvo admitted, "There was really nothing else for me to add."

April smiled. "Alright then. I'll go explain to one of my aides so they can draft up the report for me and I'm going to go for lunch in the meantime while Shireen here finishes bringing me up to speed on things."

Heather raised an eyebrow. "When was the last time you ate?"

"About four hours ago," April responded.

"You are wasting away here. Lunchtime ladies." Heather commented with a smile. "Let's go eat... You, April, are eating for three..."

Shireen smiled. "The plaza is this way ladies." and with that, the three of them departed from the command center in silence.
