All the Bad News, All at Once - Part Two

Mission: Mission 85: My Soul's in Arms, and Eager for the Fray
Location: USS Tranquility - Captain's Quarters / USS Manticore - COB's Quarters
Timeline: 2100Hrs - May 12th, 2392

Commander Siaxx Dvald sighed softly as she wiped at her face, she had been crying on and off for over an hour now with no ending in sight for her, she had not had time to properly grieve for her mother's death on the Stalingrad or her niece's death on the Roanoke earlier today. The damage sustained by the various Federation ships was not too bad, it could have been far worse and everyone present knew it too.

The Tranquility had been severely damaged during the battle but for now, as there were no other M, A, S, H units available and because Dvald herself was stubborn, she wanted to give her engineers a chance to save the USS Tranquility. 'That's putting it lightly Siaxx.' the petite Bolian said to herself.

Dvald signed before the comm system beeped at her. "Bridge to the Captain?" came the voice of Tressa Rikan, her executive officer, she herself sounded exhausted to Siaxx's ears as the Bolian sighed. "Yeah, Tressa. What's up?"

The younger woman's voice came back right away. "We have a Master Chief Petty Officer Chen Vaxx on the line for you, he says it's personal."

Dvald nodded her head as a wide smile appeared on her face, she was about to be reunited with her husband and she had missed him greatly. "Go ahead and put him through." the small Bolian said quietly.

Riken's voice faced out before the male Bolian who she had missed. "Hey, Siaxx. I hate to bother you as I know you are busy but I have forty engineers who are available for you."

"Sounds good. I'll meet you in my transporter room to welcome them and you." Dvald answered before she began tugging her boots back onto her feet before she pulled her jacket back on over her bloated body. "I'll see you in a moment. Dvald out." and with that Siaxx went out the door and down the hall.

Siaxx Dvald walked into the transporter room, she turned to the transporter chief. "Beam our guests aboard."

"Aye skipper." and with that several Engineers came aboard, some with heavy-duty equipment with them. "Head on out the door and down the hallway. Lieutenant Sasha Zh'Theentanis is probably waiting for you." Dvald commented

The second and third groups appeared and Dvald repeated herself to them in turn. The last group had Master Chief Petty Officer Chen Vaxx arrived with the last three Engineers. Dvald explained herself one last time, the three engineers went about their task as Dvald looked up at the large Bolian male before her.

"You look disgruntled," Vaxx commented gently. "Let's go for a drink."

"Okay," Dvald answered as she followed him out of the transporter room. "It's late, we should head back to my place Chen."

"After you then Siaxx." Chen Vaxx followed his wife to her home. He entered her quarters after she did, she slipped off her jacket, revealing her figure and chest, however, both of them knew she was heavily pregnant. Chen regarded her. "How is your little one?"

"Well, the medics say I'm due any time now. The news about my mother and my niece is not helping my issues any."

"I'm sorry about what happened," Vaxx responded as he looked at her with concern as he gently pulled her onto his lap, he gently slid his arms around her torso. "I've missed you Siaxx..."

"I know Chen, I've missed you too." Siaxx answered with a smile. "Besides. Mom knew. Cheleya knew it too. But." Dvald paused a moment. "That does not mean I need to like it."

"I know," Vaxx responded. "Like the news, I got about Merris."

"I recall," Dvald responded. "Your sister made quite a stir with her demands about revenge."

"I know. I, however, know that revenge is short sighted. Merris wouldn't have wished for revenge in her name, she was a gentle soul who deserved better than what she got was wrong." Vaxx sighed softly. "But I'll remember her all the same as she was, not as she is."

Dvald nodded her head. "A wise plan. Same as I'll remember my mother and my niece." she let out a soft sigh. "Considering Dad nearly got killed when he reclaimed Czerka and then gave the company a very badly needed collective enema."

Chen chuckled softly. "I'll bet, considering what was mentioned on the news and how stupid that got." the large male Bolian gently picked up the small female Bolian in his arms.

Dvald relaxed almost instantly as she felt his arms around her. 'They are the size of my legs'. Siaxx thought to herself as she felt him gently kiss her on the side of her neck, she turned her head before she kissed him back on the lips, their kisses quickly turned passionate as she began peeling her clothing off of her.
