Reassurances - Part Two

Location: Various Locations - Roanoke Battlegroup
Timeline: 0930Hrs - May 11th, 2392

Commander Plataea Unal moved down the hallway, she was searching for her twin who's psionic presence shone like a star while most others were like embers or candles as Unal sought out Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi herself rounded another corner as she could feel Plataea seeking her out, the two of them almost collided as Yamaguchi suddenly appeared right in front of Unal. "Plataea. I heard you were back." Yamaguchi commented. "Let's go down to the lounge, we have a lot to chat about."

"We do." Unal agreed. "After you."

Yamaguchi turned and the two began making their way down the hallway to their new destination. The Lounge on the Courageous which was known as 'the Tavern on the Black' or 'The Black' for shorthand.

A few minutes later, the two women reached their destination, the two doors opened before them as Unal followed Yamaguchi into the lounge before the two got into the line up for their food.

The two got themselves something to eat. Yamaguchi ordered herself a chicken caesar salad while Unal ordered herself a full sized meal of a chicken pot pie with a large helping of mashed potatoes with a side of gravy, for drinks the two had a glass of water and Unal had a pitcher of soda.

The two women made their way over to a nearby table when both sat down. Unal regarded her twin. "So what's happened?" she inquired. "I heard about Lasarra being changed into a male but Teval all but insisted I come and see you."

"Yes. Nebris, as he's now calling himself, seems to be adjusting well to his new state." Yamaguchi explained. "I was so used to him being irresponsible. Now I have to get used to the fact that he's not the Lasarra you knew or I even knew." she sighed softly. "Whats worse... is that Nebris got someone pregnant to boot."

"Wait. What?" Unal asked softly. "So.. Let me get this right. Lasarra is now a man and got a woman pregnant?"

"Among other things, yes" Yamaguchi responded. "Lieutenant Tienn Iteela is her name and instead of running away, the two are apparently going to try and make a relationship work between them. So far at least it's working out quite well."

Unal blinked as she regarded her twin. "I can't believe I am hearing all of this.."

"Well considering when the accident happened. Lasarra is lucky to be alive, same with Shorin and Ryuukei." Yamaguchi responded. "I don't think Ryuukei is too upset about what happened since everyone present knows him as male, he is in no rush to change any of this." she paused. "Lieutenant Shorin DeMasscho, however, is desperate to change back from female to male," she explained. "Nebris, however, is not in any rush whatsoever at all. Lasarra wants to remain as male for the rest of his life."

"Unbelievable," Unal responded. "I'd call this one hell of an accident."

"I'd call this suspicious if this wasn't an accident, it was one hell of a stunt by someone to screw with someone else. I always had suspicions about the incident in question as it was a little too perfectly done." Yamaguchi admitted. "Maybe I'm just being paranoid, however."

"That's quite a claim," Unal responded.

"It's also all true," Yamaguchi answered quietly as she ate another bite of her food.

"Oh, I don't doubt it. I mean, how can someone just make this stuff up?" Unal inquired of her twin.

Yamaguchi smiled as she chuckled softly. "I've been accused of many, many things in my long life but I've never been accused of being overly creative. I spend more time with my children, adopted and natural born so I tend to indulge their hobbies than anything else."

Unal smiled. "I've never had the time for it, considering I've spent the last twenty years at war... This reality still feels almost too good to be true, you know?"

"I do actually," Yamaguchi responded, a gentle smile on her face. "How did you endure the reality you came from?"

Unal nodded her head. "Honestly. I have no idea whatsoever." she paused. "Your son seems to think of me as his mom too."

"I hear you," Yamaguchi answered evenly. "Gabe and I have always been close. He sees you as another version of myself. That's not a bad thing. Don't think that it is."

"He came right out and called me 'mom' before I left, I also recall the argument between him, Ouros and Lasarra." Unal paused. "I had no idea your son thought of me like that."

"Gabe thinks the world of me. He simply transferred that to you too." Yamaguchi paused. "Somehow. I am not shocked in the least that Gabe was involved with that mess." Yamaguchi smiled.

Unal nodded her head. "Yeah. It got stupid after a while. Lasarra was never going to give Jake a chance. Hell, he spent more time abusing me and he even raped Ouros yet Lasarra is the one who's acting out of her mind because of it all."

Yamaguchi was not in the least bit surprised with that revelation. "I know about Ouros. It's why she's getting along really well with Elizabeth." she sighed softly before she ate a bite of her food.

Unal nodded. "She told me, that she sees Elizabeth and her husband as people who both can help her overcome her demons."

Yamaguchi sighed softly. "Jake knows about it." she gently broke the news to her twin. "He's trying to help as best he can but.. It's hard when that demon Ouros faces wears Jake's face and name."

"Crap. I didn't think he knew." Unal sighed softly. "I did not wish him burdened with that knowledge."

"You didn't. Well not directly anyway. It was more Nalla Furban's doing than anyone else." Yamaguchi sighed softly. "See when you three had that little .. encounter," Yamaguchi explained. "You three merged minds at the same time, you found out everything about him and Nalla and vice versa. Jake learned all he needed to know about you and Nalla. You both shared a lot of dark shit with him, things he is still coming to terms with. He thinks he raped and abused me among a lot of other things."

"He thinks he raped Elizabeth. His child." Unal finished.

"Yes," Yamaguchi answered. "It's caused issues between father, daughter, and son-in-law that they are still working through. Elizabeth, however, does not know about it. I'm considering telling her and Kameron over dinner tonight, it may help them."

Unal nodded her head. "Okay. That sounds reasonable."

"Oh, you aren't getting out of this one. You are coming too.." Yamaguchi smiled evenly.

"Oh, lovely." Unal sighed softly. "I should first go see Lasarra..." she paused. "What did you say her new name was?"

"Nebris Yamaguchi. He went to see Jake about things and the two managed to hammer out a peace accord they both can live with."

Unal blinked as her mind shattered at the significance of that statement. "I cannot believe it."

"Oh believe it. You missed a lot while you were gone." Yamaguchi smiled. "Nebris is a completely different person. To top it all off.." she regarded Plataea with a sigh. "You're going to become a grandmother."

"What?!" Unal paused as she clutched at her head with both hands. "Fuck. My brain just imploded. What!"

"Yep. When Nebris was turned into a male. Lieutenant Tienn Iteela was on hand to assist him with things, I didn't know the two went back to her place and she more or less fucked him senseless for about ninety minutes and he got her pregnant as a result of this."

"Fuck... What's going to happen now?"

"Well, Tienn was ready to raise her baby alone. Nebris said no and now they are going to try and make a relationship work between them, he said he would raise the baby with her and that was quite simply the end of the conversation, as far as he, she and I was concerned."

"Unbelievable." Unal lamented. "I always expected Lasarra to be the one getting pregnant, not that he was impregnating others."

"Give Nebris a chance, let him show you he's not the same person you remember. He shoved it down my throat that I was being unreasonable. He wasn't wrong."

"I'll consider and. I'll try to keep an open mind. but I'll make no guarantees." Unal said slowly, pausing each time, she sighed at the end of it before she turned back to her food, taking a few moments to process the news she had just been told.

Yamaguchi smiled as she likewise went back to her food.
