Mission:
Mission 77: Made Glorious Summer
Location: Various Locations - USS Nightstalker
Timeline: 2355Hrs - April 10th - 2392
Commander Plataea Yamaguchi sat behind the small desk in her quarters, the two concessions to the fact that she was master and commander of this tiny vessel. She felt numb as the conversation from lunch almost twelve hours ago was still echoing in her mind. Gabriel Yamaguchi had addressed her as if she was his mother and not the Torilla Yamaguchi who was native to this reality. Elizabeth and Rachael had also not bothered to try and tell the two Torilla's apart either but unlike Gabriel, neither one of them had come to Plataea to tell her how they felt about her in their lives.
Gabriel appeared while Plataea herself, Talon Yeager and the newly named Astrid Yamaguchi were having a lunch while they celebrated Astrid's being accepted by her family and of her new destiny in life with her new name of Astrid rather then Talon.
April had accepted her quickly before Jake who had likewise accepted her as well. The three women went to celebrate with a large amount of food and drink before Astrid had gone to see the quartermaster and the JAG personnel before getting the ball rolling on developments. Then Gabriel Yamaguchi had arrived and that was when Plataea's day went sideways.
Plataea had shrugged off her uniform jacket and she had instructed that the Gamma Watch would pilot the ship before Delta Watch would take over at oh three hundred hours with Plataea assuming command at oh nine hundred.
Plataea turned her thoughts back to Gabriel Yamaguchi, he seemed too earnest and so determined that she was not sure of what he wanted from her other then the fact that as far as he was concerned, he had two women who were his mother, one who gave birth and had raised him and the other could become something more then she was at present. Plataea looked like Torilla in every way imaginable or so she was told by several people.
Nalla Furban was one of those who had said this, Jake had been another after he had recovered from the threesome that he had been a part of during the pineapple incident back in November of last year but what was worse was that she had enjoyed the threesome far more then she had expected far more so then the manner in which the Jake native to her reality would have inflicted his brand of casual sex on her but he would have simply grabbed her, before pinning her and then he would have simply raped her. The Jake native to this reality was actually a very different man from the monster Plataea had seen get atomized before her.
Plataea didn't miss the monster who had laughingly been called her husband from her native reality and as such, she had yearned to be free of him for close to twenty years and now that she was, she had no idea whatsoever of what she wanted from anyone on any level whatsoever, it made for a very confusing environment for her to operate in.
Plataea Yamaguchi sat back in her chair as she let out a soft sigh. The older woman then tapped the display once with her left hand. "Captain's personal Log. Stardate Six Nine Two Seven Five Point Eighty Three." the Halanan paused only a moment before she decided to come out with it "I never ever imagined I'd find myself in this situation." she began. "My twins children want me in their lives, they don't even bother to take the time to tell me and their actual mother apart. We're so alike in looks.." Plataea responded. "I feel like I'm intruding on something special... a bond between mother and children is something to be treasured and protected... and I'm violating the one that Torilla has with her children... Yet the three adults consider me a part of their family.. and I've not done anything to warrant such respect.." she paused. "Their father also considers me kin too... as does Torilla. She could see me as a threat to her marriage to Jake and... I don't want Jake... I am scared of him... he terrifies me.." Plataea paused. "He looks at me and I feel my insides turn to soup... " she let out a sigh.
"Torilla's family regards me as a lost refugee... a version of their mother that could have been..." Plataea shrugged. "I honestly don't know why they want me in their lives... to be honest as it makes no sense to me... What's more unusual is that Ouros and Selendis all regard Torilla as their second mother... Lasarra is a lost cause as she'll never adjust... She's even said so several times... but I know Gabe got through to her... and He was the odd man out in this puzzle..."
Plataea lifted her drink to her lips before draining a mouthful. "Talon was right about one thing though... I've never had sons... only daughters... and men think differently to women, they tend to be much more blunt about things and Gabriel is very close to Torilla. I've even been told this on more then one occasion by various people, including Torilla herself." she paused. "I don't know what to do about it.... but for now I will focus my efforts on my assignment behind enemy lines.. and deal with whatever comes... End log entry." before Torilla's doppelganger sat back in her chair.
