Mission: Mission 78: Let's March Without the Noise of Threat'ning Drum
Location: Generals Office - IKS Gorkon
Timeline: 0800Hrs - April 9th, 2392

General Klag growled ever so softly as he was presently sitting at his desk, the dogs of war were baying at his door and he had been ordered to present his final plans for the invasion of the Gornar system area. He noted the intelligence estimates for the numbers of Gorn ships and bases present in the system. This was where the fog of war could and generally did obscure one's own vision for planning upcoming missions events.

Klag smiled. "I will defeat the Gorn and show these punny weaklings why I am considered among the best," he said softly to himself as he picked up one of the PADD's that littered the desk, the report on it said in simple script. "Estimates of defenses over Goranar."

"Mmm... Two hundred heavy weapons emplacements." Klag read aloud as he mentally added another hundred or so just in case, while doing so he mentally recalled something an instructor had said when Klag himself was a much younger man while at the academy. "Do not let the fog of war distract you, keep your focus firmly on the here and now where it belongs."

Klag grinned. "Indeed Ro'targ. My old friend. You were right the day you said those words and you are right now." he muttered softly as he resumed drawing up his plans before calling the galley over the ship's com system for another order of Gagh, his preferred dish while preparing anything of major importance. The orderlies working within simply prepared another order as the General preferred it before they sent it off to where it was supposed to go via the ship's transporter.

It was considered by some to be a frivolous use of the ship's energy and the transporter system but Klag always made exceptions for himself and people who needed it.

The dish appeared as Klag's thoughts turned from his war plans to what he thought of the present administration. J'mpok was not his man and Klag didn't like the chancellor either, he thought the man did his dealings in darkened rooms rather than on the field of honor as one should. He had heard that the Chancellor's bodyguard force had been disbanded and replaced by troops loyal to the man and not the position. To Klag this was a major effort of truly epic levels and as a result, he worried about the future of the empire.

Klag sighed as he considered his mate and three young children in the empire who he knew would be put to the sword if Klag himself should fail, he missed his comrades in House Martok whose house, holdings and treasures had been consumed in the chaos of the last few months along with many other smaller houses, both large and small. Most of whom had been obliterated in the fierce fighting and the pogroms that had taken place as a result on both sides of the war of the Four Chancellors.

Klag growled softly as he thought that all involved had been without honor of any kind on any level whatsoever. "I will show you all the path back to honor.. assuming there is any to be had with this fool, idealistic crusade of insanity." as he wrapped his hands around the dish of Gagh and began to feast on it.
