A Voice in the Wilderness - Part Four

Mission: Mission 72: T'Would Ring the Bells of Heaven
Location: Various Locations - USS Courageous
Timeline: 1900Hrs - April 6th, 2392

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi approached her quarters as she caught sight of her eldest daughter as she came around the corner but Torilla looked at her, she could tell very quickly that this woman was not Elizabeth, it was the woman who was her twin from an alternate reality. "Ouros." Yamaguchi greeted her with a smile. "Come in."

Yamaguchi turned as she led the woman who was actually larger then she herself was into her quarters. The twins and all of the cats were gone and all of their stuff had been cleared away. To Torilla's eyes her home looked empty and bare. All she had was two dogs and nothing else, the door opened and the two dogs were there to greet her as normal.

Torilla gently greeted them both before they turned their attention to what they assumed to be Elizabeth but her scent was different.

The dogs regarded her warily as she gently petted Nymeria. "Its okay guys.. I am not Elizabeth.." Ouros explained. "I just look like her."

"Its seldom I get to see my reflection in the flesh." Yamaguchi responded. "Jake isn't sure of what to make of your mother."

"My mother isn't sure of what to make of him either." Ouros responded quietly. "But.. Jake.. he did make that offer to us... Me, Selendis and Lasarra."

Yamaguchi smiled. "Jake and I discussed it.." she responded. "its not exactly a big secret and I'm happy that he felt he could.. Considering what happened between him, your mother and Nalla."

Ouros chuckled softly. "Mom called it some of the best sex she'd ever had.." she paused a moment. "Well.. I'm still adjusting to the fact that Jake is a decent man.. I've only ever known him to be... well... Lets just say that he wasn't a nice man."

"Your mother shared some of the details with Jake himself and he shared them with me." Yamaguchi explained. "Oh.. can I get you anything?" as if recalling that she was not talking to her daughter but someone who was close enough.

"No thank you." Ouros responded.

"Alright... Well make yourself at home.. I'm going to go and change." and with that Yamaguchi withdrew into the master bedroom, before she shucked all of her clothing, she then stepped into the shower to clean herself off, nothing like being sweaty after a long day. Torilla took a moment to take a sex toy with her, she smiled as she considered what she was about to enjoy.

Ouros went over before she sat down on the two person love seat, one of the dogs hopped up on the sofa with her where the other simply curled up on the floor at her feet, as she gently ran her fingers behind the larger dogs ears. "You're just meeting me for the first time. aren't ya big guy?" Ouros inquired.

The dog regarded her with his golden eyes as he said nothing.

A minute or so later. Ouros decided to look into the kitchenette as she rose to her feet, she made her way over before she pulled open the cooler she came face to face with a dozen bottles of booze or wine, some of this stuff was extremely expensive back in her native reality. 'Former reality' Ouros corrected herself for the umpteenth time.

Yamaguchi meanwhile could almost hear Ouros talking in the next room as she washed the shampoo out of her hair, a smile graced her lips as she finished before turning off the water and stepping out of the shower. She felt a lot better then she did earlier when she stepped into the shower.

Yamaguchi ran her hands over her figure, pushing off some of the extra water before she began toweling herself off, minutes later she emerged wearing a pair of jeans and a light t-shirt. Yamaguchi didn't subscribe to the Federation's one-piece jumpsuits which were still heavily marketed by the civilian market. Everyone she knew preferred older clothing styles, still, she admitted there was something about the smooth feeling of denim against her skin that she enjoyed. "Finding everything alright?"

Ouros was sitting on the sofa, one of the dogs was curled up next to her and the other was seated at her feet. "Yes, thanks... These two are very protective of you."

Grey Wind shifted his attention from Ouros to Yamaguchi as if he wanted to make sure his mistress was well. Yamaguchi sat down across from Ouros as the younger woman gently petted Grey Wind behind his ears. "I've never had a dog like this.. I never had a happy childhood... All my sisters and I ever did was prepare for war... Mom took steps to protect us from her .... well... how do I say this gently?"

"You don't." Yamaguchi responded. "Jake shared with me what happened.. and what he gained and lost from... what happened between him, your mom and Nalla Furban."

"Ahh.. Don't take this the wrong way but... I'm envious of you and Elizabeth.." Ouros explained. "You guys had the life I can only dream about."

Yamaguchi leaned forward. "You are a part of this family. I know you and Elizabeth are getting to know each other."

"I was surprised about her to be honest with you... I thought I would be dealing with a mirror of myself... But Elizabeth is anything but.." she sighed. "I like Kameron but he got confused between the two of us, I took care in explaining who I was and that she was his wife... Unlike Lasarra."

Yamaguchi smiled as she shook her head. "Yes... Rachael told me about that.. She was not happy and I was not amused."

"I wasn't impressed myself.. She bedded her twins husband, letting Ennis think that Lasarra was Rachael." she shook her head. "That woman is dense at times.."

Yamaguchi found she couldn't argue with what Ouros was saying. "What of you?"

"This reality is my home now.. I should behave and act like I am a civilized being. Getting along with my twin is a start... But I never expected for dad's family to take me in... I've never gotten so many notes bidding me welcome and the like.... From more relations then I ever imagined... Including Aunt Heather who in my reality was murdered while she was at the academy.... Here she's alive, well with a family of her own.." Ouros explained. "It was her rape and murder that convinced Jake to become the man he was... He sought her murderer and the things he did to the man.." she sighed "I think Jake left something behind that day."

"The evil-Jake wanted to become emperor of his own Terran Dominion..." Yamaguchi explained. "Your mom told me...We've been getting along too... Except she at times scares the crap out of me.."

"Mom has been through a lot, used like a sex-toy by a man who all but hated her, a man who wears the same face as your husband.." Ouros responded quietly. "Then to come to another reality thats almost identical to the one I left behind... to Find that Jake is a loving husband and father with a good family and is a man I can respect... Well. Its a lot to take in to be honest with you mom...err Torilla."

"I look identical to your mother... Its okay.. I don't mind.." Yamaguchi smiled.

"Oh.. I kinda figured you would mind.. Considering I'm not your daughter." Ouros explained.

"You are close enough." Yamaguchi dismissed Ouros's comment with her own. "Do not trouble yourself about context or details. You are a Yamaguchi and that as far as Jake and I are concerned... Is the end of the matter."

Ouros smiled. "Thank you.."
