Mission:
Mission 75: Through the Looking Glass
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: Apr 4th 2392
Almost an hour had gone by and now Jiroko was really getting worried. Still no sign of Raskar. Leadfoot and Moni had gone to the dance floor and joined the crowd there while Teyo had been smothered and cuddled by Tirothyn for the past hour. Berin was just sitting around not doing much, one of the few in the room whom showed no real emotion at all.
The alternate Moni Nasao had also not chosen to dance or really do anything other then sit back and enjoy the ambiance of the gathering. "Hey Berin, why the long face?" she inquired of her teammate. "You look unhappy.."
Berin didn't really have much to say, all he said was, "I'm fine."
Rykar, whom was nearby, and on her fifth drink, commented. "Heh, yeah suurreeee... your more tense than a rod of solid neutronium Mr. fluffy."
Berin shot Rykar a look but didn't say anything.
The alternate Moni Nasao paused. "I have my new name... by the way.." she raised an eyebrow. "M'Tillie" she added, which was the Caitian word for 'Snowflake'.
Rykar thought about the name, "Snowflake huh," She then sat there for a moment processing then she looked at Jiroko commenting. "Well your snow caitian buddy there isn't the only one with the long face."
M'Tillie regarded Rykar. "She's waiting for a friend.... I think he's not going to show up.. but thats me." she responded as she shifted her attention over to Jiroko. "Shouldn't we find out where your friend is?" she inquired with a smile. "Maybe he got held up or waylaid somewhere.?"
Jiroko sighed and replied. "I think I may have an idea as to where he is. but if you want to help me find him, I'm not going to complain."
M'Tille nodded. "I'll go with you." she turned to Berin. "You gonna be alright..?"
Berin nodded, "yeah I'll be fine."
Teyo looked up curiously wondering what was going on.
R'Shav smiled softly as she gently ran her fingers through the fur on the top of his head. "Mmm.." she peered at Berin before she turned her attention back to the Caitian on her lap.
The doors at the far side of the lounge opened as a rather large Caitian male came through the door, he looked around the room with a practiced and measured eye, before she stepped forward a second time.
The two Caitian females went to go search for Raskar, whom surprisingly enough wasn't all that difficult to find. he was simply on the Observation deck where the bridge on Roanoke used to be, staring out the window into space. No one else was really up here at the time, so he was by himself, with a bottle of alcohol in his hand.
M'Tillie peered at him in silence, she could tell that there was something really wrong here but she wasn't sure of what it was. "Hello... You coming to the party?" she inquired of him.
Raskar took a sip from his drink. "There is a party?"
"There is." M'Tillie responded. "Its in the Green Dragon, they are celebrating the downfall of some idiot in the fighter corps and its looks to be quite a bash... We'd both like it... if you would join us?"
Jiroko gave Raskar the puppy eyes and tugged his tail. "Come on Raskar, you can't be moping around forever."
Raskar just simply said. "Does it all even matter anymore?"
M'Tillie regarded the Caitian male before her. "The unit you're assigned to is a shitheap... Isn't it?"
Jiroko sighed in distaste. "Yeah, you can say that. Both of us are assigned to the same ship, and its a total trainwreck."
M'Tillie peered at the other female. "Its a far better cry from my..... shall we say last assignment where I was beaten if I didn't perform my duties or I stood a chance of being raped if someone was feeling frisky." the explained. "Lets just say... I'm not from around here... You guys have it far better then I ever did. Well... Until now that is."
Raskar's fur stood on end and he suddenly tensed up, his claws came out, but her didn't say anything, while Jiroko commented. "Yeah, well our universe isn't 100% good either, though at least the federation isn't an empire."
M'Tillie's fur suddenly puffed up in response to his reaction, it had to be something she had said bit she wasn't sure of what it had been. The Caitian female turned to one side as she lifted both arms before she growled ever so softly.
Raskar didn't react or even really notice M'Tillie as he was still staring out the window and not even looking at her, but Jiroko noticed. "Relax, he has just been through a real rough time over the past couple of days."
M'Tillie regarded him, her eyes smoldering as she fought to calm herself down. "Yes... Anyway.. there is a party presently going on..."
the second female spoke.
"What are you doing here!" suddenly came a voice. M'Tillie's head snapped around before she let loose one blast of energy at the intruder before she could stop herself, it was only because the blast was unaimed, that it missed. "Woah!, what the fuck!"
M'Tillie snarled loudly at him, angrily hissing. "Be gone you mindless bastard!"
"Its a public space thickhead." Teval commented to the rather dense marine, as he walked onto the observation deck. He then walked over to the group of Caitians commenting. "Might want to be a little careful about throwing around those abilities."
"Yessir." M'Tillie responded. "Had I been aiming for him... I would have zapped him... Maybe it would improve his disposition." she paused. "Or maybe not."
The marine quickly left the room while Teval added. "Fortunately most people here do not need anything like that to improve their disposition, however we do have a few dense idiots every now and then, particularly if their name happens to be related to labrosse or Bremer."
"Bremer.." M'Tillie responded with a soft growl. "So.. you have that issue too... That family is a plague wherever it manifests."
Teval sighed. "Yeah they are."
Raskar finally spoke. "Thanks to them people like me will never see a good assignment, might as well leave now for all that it matters."
M'Tillie's ears rotated forward, taking on a flattened appearance. "Why... where would you go?" she inquired before adding. "The Bremers are humans.. they can be dealt with.."
Raskar didn't answer the question while Teval commented. "With the amount of bremers that have been exterminated in this battlegroup, one has to wonder."
Jiroko then grabbed Raskars' hand and pulled him to his feet," Comeon, just come with us, stop moping around."
Raskar made no attempt to fight Jiroko on the matter," Oh alright, fine."
M'Tillie smiled. "It'll be great!" she responded.
Jiroko led the group back to the party where they found several more recent arrivals, including Greyscarr and Jimkilli.
Greyscarr regarded the room of Caitians at a glance. "Mmmm.." he purred softly as he went over to a female Caitian nearby. Tirothyn R'Shav meanwhile had allowed her victim to go free and now she had lost sight of him among all of the various Caitians. She huffed a sigh before she sat back down on her chair, with a tall glass in her hand. "Typical.. some men just have no spine."
M'Tillie looked at Greyscarr, a rather evil smile appearing on her face. "Mmmmm hello my pretty." she commented softly, while she kept looking at Greyscarr who was busy chatting some female she didn't know, the female for her part didn't seem to interested however which gave M'Tille an opening to exploit.
Meanwhile Rokirro had managed to remove Agar's pants and was now finding the Snow leopard Caitians rear end and tail to be a very fluffy pillow.
Kagraa was dancing with K'miras and Rykar, the three of them wearing nothing but colorful ribbons and all very drunk. Kagraa then noticed Teyo had managed to get away, so the three of them came up with a plan. Once they had it laid out the three of them then approached an unsuspecting Teyo, they grabbed him, picked him up, and carried him back over to R'Shav, with Kagraa smiling. "We brought you a present."
R'Shav grinned as she gently picked up the rather disgruntled male Caitian and set him back on her lap. "Why did you run away... my pretty... I wouldn't have been... too hard on you." she paused before a rather evil grin appeared. "Do you not like females or something?"
Kagraa, being herself, hugged the both of them, managing to squeeze Teyo between herself and R'Shav in the process. "Nah, he likes you, he is just being his usual shy self."
Teyo's face went warm, and if his skin was visible he would be blushing at the statement, so he failed to say anything contrary to his siblings claim.
"Aww.." R'Shav responded. "I wasn't expecting you to warm up to me so quickly." as she gently kissed him on the end of his nose. "I promise to behave and be gentle. For now anyway."
Teyo let off a little purr while Kagraa whispered to R'Shav, "you know, his tush has really soft fur."
R'Shav purred gently as she cuddled with Teyo, meanwhile M'Tillie went over to the replicator as she ordered a drink. Something about Raskar was bothering her as she lifted her drink to her mouth and she drained the entire glass in one go. Her attention shifted to the Moni Nasao native to this reality and M'Tillie found that she envied her twin.
The tall Caitian female let out a soft sigh. "I hate this.." she muttered before ordering another drink.
K'miras noticed the lonely looking dark furred Caitain, so he approached her in a cheery mood. "Tovarishch, you look lonely over here, why not join the dance party."
M'Tillie blinked as she heard the male Caitian she didn't know address her in a strange language. "I...I thought I was.." she answered him quietly. "I just feel out of sorts..." she admitted. "See her... the pregnant female over there." she pointed to Moni Nasao. "My duplicate that is..." she let out a soft sigh. "I feel I am intruding on her life."
K'miras hugged, M'Tille with one arm. "Well, then in that case, its best to make your own life, you have the option now."
Kagraa, unable to keep out of the conversation, brushed M'Tille with her tail, "Besides, I don't think Moni feels that way, and you shouldn't let it get in the way of having a little fun."
M'Tillie turned to regard the second female. "I'm not Moni Nasao." she explained. "I am ... her twin." she let out a soft sigh. "more or less." she sighed softly. "I need a drink.."
Kagraa went behind the bar table and grabbed a recent addition to the collection. "I heard this was really good, its a new kind of drink, from the Akurians."
She picked up three glasses and poured one for each of them, the drink looked very creamy, but there was no mistaking the alcohol content.
M'Tille smiled. "Alright.. I'll try it." she responded as she accepted a glass of the booze. "So... what time does the party end?"
Kagraa shrugged. "Not a set time, mainly when people feel like they are done partying, or when the sergeant major gets tired of us and kicks us out of his bar."
M'Tillie turned her head as she regarded Jeffrey Duval who was presently standing at the bar, serving drinks to everyone in range, he was known for keeping order in his bar at all times, he really hated fights and when they broke out, he punished both sides with lifetime bans. All of this went through her mind. "I almost don't recognize Jefferson Duval's counterpart here.." the tall Caitian admitted. "My Jeff Duval is... a victim of a Vulcan bitch."
K'miras took a sip of the Akurian drink, and nearly instantly took a liking for it," Wow, this is pretty good, I think after Vodka this may become my second favorite drink."
Kagraa shook her head in amusement as she took a sip. "I don't know whom is more russian, you or the actual russian guy."
K'miras shrugged. "What can I say, Sergeyev is a corrupting influence."
M'Tillie shrugged as she finished her drink. "Mmm... this stuff is good... and nah, one can't be willingly corrupted .... Besides who is this Sergeyev character anyway?" she inquired.
Kagraa pointed to the russian man whom was back on the dance floor, "That guy."
K'miras took a second sip of his drink "He is the one whom gave both me and Xiaxx our callsigns, as we both flew under him. unfortunately the blue brainless idiot couldn't even learn from him."
M'Tillie blinked her eyes. "Oh.. What do they mean?" she inquired with a smile. "I highly suspect that this is going to be good."
"Mine means snow lighting," K'miras replied, "but for Xiaxx, his meant empty headed imbecile. Moron didn't even have a clue as to the meaning of his call sign and thought it was a complement."
M'Tillie suddenly started laughing uncontrollably. "Wow.... such wonderful insanity."
K'miras downed the rest of his drink and then rubbed M'Tille's cheek.
"You know, you are quite the pretty one."
M'Tillie blinked, she was not used to being the object of someone elses interest, it was showing on her face too. "Thanks... I think.." she paused.
Kagraa, now thoroughly drunk herself, grabbed both of them and pulled them together," Well I think both of you are pretty and cuddly."
M'Tillie smiled. "Well. we will see if you say that in the morning after you wake up with a hangover." the female Caitian responded evenly. "But hey.. At least the night will end well.." she then shrugged.
