First Lieutenant Selendis Unal smiled as she finished her lunch, she felt refreshed, she took a moment to look around the cafeteria where various others were gathered for lunch or for some reading. The remains of her lunch were clustered together on the tray before her and she had a little time before her next class so she decided to scope out the situation in the lounge before her and see who was attractive to her and who wasn't.

Selendis noticed a Klingon in the room and she eyed him curiously but somehow the Klingon male noticed her staring, so rather then ignore her. Atin decided to go and deal with this woman before him, he made his way over to her. "Can I help you?" the man inquired of her as he stood before her.

"Yes." Selendis responded bluntly, surprising herself as she said so. "Sit down." she indicated a chair across from him. "I did not think to see a Klingon wearing the same uniform as me." she admitted. "I used to.. fight them, before I ended up here." Selendis admitted quietly.

"I see..." the male responded. "I am Atin, son of Kolar." he introduced himself, his left hand clasped the chair before he pulled out out before he slid his body into the seat, facing her, he set his tray down before her as he took a sip of the drink he had replicated for himself a few minutes earlier.

"Selendis, daughter of Plataea." The young woman introduced herself.

Atin nodded, processing the information she had given him. "In any case, you misunderstand me." Atin spoke. "My home is not that misbegotten empire, my home is the Federation and its people are my comrades." with his right hand he indicated the other people in the room.

"I did not think to ever hear a Klingon utter such words.." Selendis responded. "I believe I have misjudged you." she admitted a moment later.

"Perhaps, Selendis..." he paused. "I do not know what your original opinion of me was.." Atin responded in kind. "I shudder to think however."

"I didn't like you." Selendis responded. "Until November, I was fighting against them... You see I am a refugee from another reality with no way home.... and this reality is much nicer then the one I left behind."
The young woman before him responded. "The Federation there was an empire in all but name and it treated its people poorly, except for a few that got rich off of the war."

"I see." Atin responded. "Do I dare inquire?" the par Klingon male inquired fo her.

"Nope." Selendis responded with a smile. "I am woman enough to admit when I'm wrong.." she added with a gentle smile

"I understand." Atin responded. "Do not worry about it... You didn't know who I am, why I'm here or what I have come here to do." Atin explained.

"Indeed." Selendis smiled as she regarded him. "You doing anything later?" she sounded almost hopeful in regards to the 'later' part it seemed.

Atin regarded her. "After classes, no.... I finish at seventeen hundred." he responded.

"Good.. I'll meet you back here, I want to know you better." Selendis responded with a smile before she rose to her feet. "I have to get to class... I'll be back soon." and with that she made her departure a quick one, dropping her tray off at the replicator and then departing. Atin watched her leave, as a smile graced his lips, clearly he liked what he saw of her.
