Mission:
Mission 72: T'Would Ring the Bells of Heaven
Location: Starfleet Base - Deneva - KAPPA FORNACIS
Timeline: 1700Hrs - March 26th, 2392
First Lieutenant Selendis Unal had finished her classes an hour earlier before she had gone back to her quarters, changing out of her uniform she had taken a shower and had cleaned up after washing the grime of a day sitting in a classroom before she donned fresh clothing.
"Ahh nothing like a hot shower to really make my day complete.." Selendis said to herself as she donned her new clothing.
A pair of jeans, a white cotton blouse and a pair of sneakers completed the ensemble, over that went a denim jacket which made her look like she was fresh off of a farm somewhere.
Selendis made her way back to the cafeteria where she found Atin, waiting for her, he too was in casual clothing of a pair of khaki pants, a pair of hiking boots and a sweatshirt. As far from their respective uniforms as was possible, this was a good sign for her, it also impressed her regarding him, that he was more then just spit and polish.
"You dressed well for the occasion." Atin commented. "Lets get something to eat..." he indicated the replicators. "So people don't start thinking things that don't need to be considered at this point."
"Yeah. That sounds good to me." The shorter woman responded with a smile, as the two of them had the entire room almost to themselves as most didn't come here after their classes, only those who wanted some privacy while not being in their quarters came to places like this. Atin and Selendis got into the lineup and quickly they had a plate of french fries each before they both selected seats in the furthest corner from the door, before they shared the plate between them.
"So... Whats new with you?"
"Ah, I graduate tomorrow and then its off to my assignment.... Wherever that is." Selendis answered. "You?" she let out a sigh.
"The same... " Atin responded while he regarded her. "I hope you get a decent assignment.."
"It won't be." Selendis responded with a smile. "I assume it'll be a bad assignment and try to make the best of it... I mean half the men on base will probably be spending a little time lusting after my body.." Selendis responded, what was probably already a well known fact as a lot of the men she had been dealing with tended to want to spend a lot of their time lusting after her and the other females present.
Atin only smiled. "Well.. As least if I lust after you... My intentions will be honest." he regarded her for her reaction to his statement.
"Why is that?" Selendis inquired. "Tonight is the last night for our class here... Are you presently bedding anyone?" the shorter woman inquired of the part Klingon man before her.
"Not at last count which was two minutes ago." Atin responded honestly. "Why do you ask?"
Selendis smiled. "Oh good... No worries then." she then smiled. "I look forward to being laid by you."
Atin regarded her as he chuckled softly. "You're laying it on a little thick.." he added softly.
"Nonsense. I know Klingon men appreciate directness." Selendis responded. "I mean how bad can it be?"
"Thats just a stereotype my dear. I am not your average Klingon" Atin added. "My mother is human.." he added for clarity. "I am many things but I honestly prefer to stand out for myself... not for the Klingon species or the Klingon Empire."
"So you are a child of the Empire?" Selendis responded. "Your dad is Klingon military?"
"No... Of the Federation. Honor has its place but I prefer the directness of being able to hold a conversation and not worry about other people offending me... As I am not so thin skinned as some would have me believe." Atin responded. "My father holds the rank of Commander with Starfleet Intelligence."
"Thats good." Selendis smiled at him. "My opinion of you is improving by the second." she added. "I should explain my problem.." The shorter woman responded. "It might help us both.."
"I confess to being some what curious as to why you dislike Klingons.."
Atin commented. "I was not going to inquire to be honest.." Atin responded. "I figured it was something not rushed or forced."
"Oh.. Why is that?" Selendis regarded him with a gentle smile.
"I figured you would tell me if you wanted to."
"Fair enough." Selendis responded. "I am a temporal refuge.. From another universe, stranded here in this version of paradise, my family are all alive and well, I have dozens of relatives I've never heard of and they are all nice people... The Federation here is actually a Federation and isn't an Empire in all but name.." Selendis explained. "So... I've been fighting the Klingons since I was born... I was raised to hate them but.. I don't hate them..." Selendis responded. "Hate is... to me its toxic and poison."
"Why not... I mean after what you told me... hating the Klingon's would be normal.." Atin responded. "Its okay to hate your enemies.."
"Yes.." Selendis responded. "The seed donor who passes as my father was the one who was a sanctimonious asshole on the matter yet he is not fit to be called my father.. As he has no DNA in common with me." Selendis responded. "Now the version of him in this reality offered to take me in as to him, I am his daughter in all respects save one, I am not his flesh and blood... but to him it doesn't matter... I am still his daughter.. and and I quote. "You may not have my blood but you have my name.' Unquote." Selendis responded. "I honestly have no idea whatsoever of how to take that.... I still have nightmares of what the seed donor did to Lasarra, my mother, Ouros and me."
Atin regarded her. "He offered you a special gift... Don't be so quick to turn it down.." the large Klingon looking male responded.
"I'm not..." Selendis responded. "I've never had a decent father figure..." she admitted. "So I intend to accept his offer, as kind as it is." she smiled. "So..." while she finished her last french fry. "Are you ready?" as she gave him a look of pure lust.
"I am yes." Atin responded, a gentle smile on his lips.
"Good... Your place or mine?" Selendis responded.
Atin thought about it. "Yours..." and with that the two rose to their feet and retreated back to her place for what was sure to be a highly interesting evening for both of them.
