Echos of a Past Lost - Part Two

Mission: Mission 53: Last March of the Enterprise-E
Location: USS Mohawk - Various Locations
Timeline: 1215Hrs - February 10th, 2392

The door opened as Commander Shireen Yamaguchi stepped out of the turbolift, the trouble was that one of the doors opened so Shireen crashed into the other door, her temper fused white hot as she hauled off and kicked the offending door, it suddenly slid open a few moments later.

Shireen stomped off down the hallway towards sickbay. She wanted to go home and she missed the company of her husband and her children, two of who'm she could never hold in her arms ever again. Thinking about Michael or Nicole angered her on a level that few ever got to. Shireen's eyes began to well up with tears, her anger would begin to rise and her blood would begin to boil.

Shireen paused a moment as she sought to regain control of her emotions as she wiped her face with her uniform sleeve but she was sure she still looked like crap.

She went into sickbay a moment later, the lights were darkened in sickbay much like they were across the rest of the ship. Lt Commander Christine Miles emerged from her office, she was a svelte, willowy woman with long blonde hair except the war had drained her looks due to the unyielding stress of the long months of endless war, her hair had gone from platinum blonde to silver and then to white.

"Doctor." Yamaguchi commented as she paused. "Report?"

"Captain." Miles responded. "Nothing new... No casualties from the last battle... fortuitously." the taller woman explained. "Well there was one casualty.."

"Oh... Who?" Yamaguchi inquired.

"My wits.." Miles responded in a dry tone of voice. "As in frightened out of Captain sir."

Yamaguchi smiled softly. "Fair enough Doctor.." she paused. "I can understand what you mean by that. Keep an eye on things and let me know if you need anything."

"Will do." before Shireen turned and went out the door, she went down to her next destination, at this time that was Main Engineering which Yamaguchi reached a few minutes later.

Yamaguchi entered the fires of dante's inferno as Lieutenant Jody Boone came over. "Captain."

"Whats your status down here?"

"Its a right mess down here sir.." Doone was a dark skinned woman from Australia, she had that weird accent. "We're still rushing rep-" she turned as both women heard something give off a 'whoof' sound as Yamaguchi sighed.

"Chambers. you can't use an arc welder near the mains. I've told you a hundred times.." she sighed. "dammit... ruined."

Yamaguchi regarded Boone as she berated her Engineer who had committed stupidity in her presence, she pulled out her communicator. "Boone to Moore.. I need a new primary phaser coupling."

The pause was silent and lasted a few moments. "I'll get on it right away sir.. When?"

"Whenever you can get it built but I need it as soon as possible though." she slapped her communicator closed. "Sorry skipper... we have no phasers.."

"Warp engines?"

"Well we can get the system rigged to get us to ninety nine percent light speed but... I have issues with this.."

"I know.." Yamaguchi responded quietly. "How long?"

"Ninety minutes before we're flight capable."

"Alright.. I'll leave you to it then." and with that Yamaguchi departed engineering, her next stop was back to the bridge.
