Posted on Thu Mar 5th, 2020 @ 4:54pm by Commander Shireen Stark-Yamaguchi & Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi

Mission: Mission 53: Last March of the Enterprise-E
Location: USS Mohawk - Mess Hall
Timeline: 1200Hrs - February 10th, 2392

Commander Shireen Yamaguchi sighed softly to herself as she was presently looking to alleviate her hunger pangs. The ship they were on was crawling along at full impulse and she knew that Lieutenant Jody Boone who was presently her Chief Engineer because the original had been killed in action a few days earlier during a skirmish in the Gamma Three Nine Eight system along the Klingon border.

Shireen had known that she couldn't stand against two birds of prey let along the four and the D7 that had shown up to reinforce the point so she had regrouped and run.

The Klingons had taken out her communication systems so she couldn't call for help so Yamaguchi had ordered her crew to retreat instead, then next thing she knew that her ship and crew had gone down an unstable wormhole that had apparently collapsed behind them because they couldn't detect it.

Shireen sighed softly as she lifted the lunch she had selected and had gone to find a seat so she could eat, most of her crew were doing double shifts trying to repair the damage to their ship which honestly needed to see the inside of a shipyard.

The rec room had been trashed rather effectively and as such there was six tables left out of a dozen or so. Most of the rest had simply been recycled for the materials they held so the room was almost half empty. Most of the rest of the space had simply been turned into crew storage space for whatever needed a large area to be held.

Lieutenant Boone had done a heck of a job replacing Lt Commander Ida Chambers who had been disintegrated when a plasma conduit blew out next to her. Shireen sighed softly as she had buried a dozen or so people in photon tubes while in this system.

"I thought this was Sherman's Planet skipper." Ensign Tyler Carlson who was also her Navigator, interrupted her reverie, as dark and as cold as it was, she was grateful for the interruption. "Yeah. I thought so too." Yamaguchi answered softly.

"Didn't you have family here sir?"

"My brother was assigned to command the base here...."

"Oh." Carlson responded softly. "I'm sorry sir."

"We don't know that anything has gone wrong Ensign.. chin up." Shireen responded. "We'll repair what we can and try to find a way to get home... wherever that is.."

"Aye skipper." he responded as he sat down across from her, she indicated the chair so he could sit down otherwise he would have stood there all day and they both knew it too.

"We have gotta find a way home sir..." Carlson responded.

"I know the crew are doing their best... We'll make it through this... somehow." Yamaguchi sighed softly.

"Yessir." and with that they both seemed to go back to their food. Just minutes later they were both done eating before Shireen climbed back to her feet. "I have to go make a tour, be seen and see people... you know."

"Yessir." and with that Shireen went out the door as Carlson admired her ass for the moment that he had it to himself.

Meanwhile Yamaguchi made her way down the hallway back to the turbolift, she tapped the 'call' button as she waited for the door to open, which it did a moment later and thankfully it was empty.

"Sickbay." Shireen said softly as she closed her eyes, she wanted a moment alone.
