Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 0800Hrs, February 4th, 2392

Commander Daniel McKnight smiled as he regarded Commander Celeste Yamaguchi who as now heavily pregnant, she was one of two people he had to pick for Exec and he wanted Nog't where he was already in Engineering. This left Celeste as his first choice for Chief Medical Officer.

"Celeste. Thank you for coming.... I assume you know why I called you?"

"I can guess." the nubian woman smiled. "Is it because you are sick of me and want rid of me?"

"Mmm you wish. No." McKnight responded in a dry tone.

"Aww.. I'm devastated." Yamaguchi smiled.

"I am sure... Anyway.. I called you here because I want you to serve as my temporary Exec."

Yamaguchi smiled as she regarded him. "Why me?" she inquired.

"Because you have the experience, you also have the motivation and the determination.." he rumbled.

"Do not loose sight of the fact that I am once more a full time mother."
Celeste responded. "So.. I will always be late in the mornings.. and probably the evenings too... But that depends if you are doing a three shift rotation or a four shift rotation."

"Well Zuko had it set to a three shift rotation." McKnight responded. "I'm considering a four shift rotation.. but for now, that will have to wait.. "

"Wait.. on what.?" Celeste responded in a coy tone as she regarded McKnight.

"On your answer." he responded in the same tone. "Besides... I mean how bad could it be?"

"That I find out I'm stupidly unsuited to command." Yamaguchi shrugged. "I'll do it." she added. "I mean I get to wear command red right..?"

"Yes you do." McKnight responded with a smile. "There is a staff briefing in an hour.. and our new acting security Chief is due to arrive at any time. You go change... and brief your replacement while I go and meet the new Security Chief."

"So.. its Captain McKnight then?"

"Lets hope not... Because this is Not how I wanted to regain my Captain's pips or my own command.." McKnight sighed. "Alright.. go on then.."

Celeste rose to her feet before she took her leave. She went home to change. Entering her quarters several minutes later she found the holonanny tending to the three Caitian children who regarded her as she entered. "Hey guys."

"Oh.. Hey Celeste." Charon responded. "We're learning how to count."

"Nice!" Celeste responded, though she was the one who had set up the lesson with the holonanny who was acting as tutor, the three kits turned back to the hologram as Celeste went over to the replicator. "Computer replicate me a red uniform tunic, my sizes." she lifted the top before she retreated into the bedroom to change.

Celeste slipped off her teal tunic before she slipped on the red one, she looked downright strange as she gave herself the once over in the mirror. "I look...weird." she then shrugged. "Well I'm told I look sexy in red.. so.. Who am I to complain.?" and with that she donned her jacket and out the door she went.

Her next stop was sickbay which she reached a few minutes later. "Oh hey Doctor... How did it... wait you look different."

"Yeah.. I need to see Doctor Stevenson."

"She's in your office, waiting for you." the nurse responded.

"Excellent." as Celeste's quick strides ate the distance, moments later she was in her office. "Doctor."

"Celeste.. How did it go?" Stevenson inquired.

"I got promoted.. I'm offering you the posting of acting Chief Medical Officer for the duration." Celeste responded. "I won't be able to work down here anywhere near as much as I used to." the pregnant woman sighed softly. "Look after things down here and keep my chair warm... k?"

"Okay." Stevenson responded evenly. "How long is.. the duration?"

"I honestly have no idea to be honest.. as long as Zuko is on leave, Selgae went with him which... Considering she's been wanting his body for weeks now.. I can only assume she will get her wish.."

Stevenson nodded. "Alright. I'll look after things down here."

"Thanks. I'd best.. head on up to the bridge." as Celeste paused. "I'll be back later to pack out of this office.."

"Thats fine Celeste.." Stevenson responded with a smile before the older woman rose to her feet before taking her leave.
