Mission: Mission 62: Its Hour Come 'Round
Location: Various Locations - Roanoke Battlegroup
Timeline: 1430Hrs - January 27th, 2392

Captain Edward Antilles was heading to his next destination with a PADD in hand, before he encountered an old friend. "Tom Lasky... Still call yourself Fives?"

"Ed... No I stopped doing that when I realized it wasn't working." Lasky responded with a sigh as Edward smiled warmly at him. "You had good cause for doing what you did and I'm glad to see you back in uniform."

"Hey. You thought I was a coward for walking away." Lasky responded.

"Yes I did. But then I didn't know then what I know now and time has made me wise... I was foolish in my error... I'm sorry."

"Its fine, I got over it long ago."Lasky responded. "I wish we were meeting under better circumstances."

"Likewise Tom." Edward responded. "Is your skipper available?"

"Teval is in the ready room, just go on in. don't bother knocking but... He's not what you'd expect... you'll see what I mean when you meet him."

"Okay." as the two men went onto the bridge after being checked at the bridge security checkpoint. The check was little more then a simple scan of their persons and belongings. Moments later Edward Antilles was standing in Teval's ready rook before Teval himself.

"I'm Captain Edward Antilles... Commander of the Exeter." Antilles commented as he placed his PADD onto the desk before sliding it across to Teval. "Thats the casualty list from this merry dance.." Antilles sighed. "I heard Admiral Yamaguchi was present here... I'm going to go and find him when we finish here."

Lasky went over to the replicator as he got himself something to drink, before coming back with three drinks, one for each of them before he sat down. Shadow the cat peered at Edward Antilles as if considering what to do.

Edward noticed as he gently offered his hand for the cats inspection, Shadow sniffed at it before she got up and mewled softly at him. Antilles gently brushed his hand through the cats soft fur as she meowed softly.

Teval looked up at Antilles and sighed. "And all this could have been avoided if Bremer wasn't so stupid. So, what brings you here."

"Well I was in the region on routine patrol when Jon Holiday called me and requested I come help.." Antilles responded as he sipped his drink. "K'Temoc Bremer.... I've heard a great deal about him... All of it bad."
he sighed. "I'm glad I could help with things... I'm going to remain in the system a while longer and reinforce your pickets with my three ships. Just tell me when you want us and it'll be handled."

Lasky drained his glass. "How bad was it on Bonhomme Richard?"

"Ugly... they lost about two hundred killed and almost a thousand wounded." Antilles sighed. "Bremer's career is history for that alone but... apparently he didn't deploy any damage control and he also tried bringing that carrier into the battle which caused her port impulse engine to explode, thats what did all that damage."

"Wait.. No DC at all?" Lasky responded, clearly stunned.

"According to Holiday. None."

"Oh fuck me" Lasky muttered. "That guy should be taken out back and shot"

Teval didn't look the least bit surprised. "Great, so he was little more than an overranked version of all his idiot cousins. Yeah the Bremer family definitely seems to end their lives or careers in this battlegroup."

Antilles nodded his head. "Yeah... I heard about all of the other Bremers who were serving... or rather existing here.." he shook his head. "Unbelievable that someone could get that high in rank and still be a complete and total failure."

Teval decided to move on. "So are you here to just discuss the failure of the Bremers or do you have another reason for coming."

"I'm actually here dropping off my final report for you then I'm here to check in with Admiral Yamaguchi since I too am a part of IFO." Antilles explained.

Teval looked at the report then explained, "OK, this report doesn't go to me then. Bonhomme Richard was never apart of this battlegroup at all, and thus out of my battlegroups chain of command, and even if it was, Commodore Zara Tane is the commander of the battlegroup, not me."

Antilles picked up the PADD again. "Okay. then I will go and see Commodore Tane after I see the Admiral." he explained. "Is there anything further we should talk about?" Antilles inquired.

Teval shrugged," Not sure why you would need to see Zara, the Richard never was apart of the battlegroup so the report has little relevance to us."

Antilles nodded. "I see.." he paused. "I wanted to ask.. whats with all the Klingon ships in the system, the lifesigns my Chief of Science detected was not Klingon." he paused. "Does this have something to do with the recent trouble inside Klingon space?"

Teval nodded. "Yes it does. Ryazar's Shield finished her investigation on the situation and as it turns out, the Klingons where not aiming for Bonhomme Richard, they where aiming for the Ferasian controlled Vo'Quv class carrier. The Richard simply got in the way of the torpedoes. But basically those Klingon ships are controlled by Ferasians, whom are descendants of Caitians captured by the Klingons 350 years ago and forced into slavery."

Antilles blinked as he processed this news. "Well I've never loved the Klingons. I've never kept that a secret.. But just... offends me on a very personal level..."

"But you are part Klingon. Doesn't that mean anything?" Lasky responded.

"No it does not." Antilles regarded him. "This is the first I'm hearing of any of this.... Whats the Federation governments position on this...issue?"

Teval shrugged. "Don't know yet, the federation council has not made its decision yet. The Akurians have already decided they are willing to help the Ferasians, and have started to move the Ferasians to the B Kayor system, but the Akurians don't exactly have the numbers to fight the Klingons on the matter."

Antilles nodded as he tapped his combadge. "Antilles to Exeter?."

A male voice came back. "Go ahead skipper.... Is all proceeding properly?"

"No." Antilles responded. "Our previous mission is scrubbed. We're staying here to help with a humanitarian mission."

"Copy that skipper, I'll inform the Cleveland and the Royal Oak and we'll be ready to press in five minutes. Hale out."

Antilles sighed as he tapped his combadge, closing the channel. "Lovely.... so the Klingons have even more to answer for... I can live with that."

Teval nodded. "The worst part about all this is the federation knew about the situation since the end of the dominion war, but chose not to act on it in order to preserve the alliance, so I don't exactly trust the federation council to do the right thing here."

Antilles nodded. "Okay..." he stopped before he mentally skidded to a halt. "Wait, What!"

"Yeah, you heard him right." Lasky responded.

"The Federation... knew about this... and chose to do nothing...
What...The... Fuck...." Antilles paused as he mentaly collected himself. "This is bullshit.." he added a moment later. "I need to go and see Admiral Yamaguchi.." and with that he turned and departed.

Lasky watched him in silence. "Well.. That went well."
