Mission: Mission 57: The Northern Lights
Location: Planet surface - Niven Colony
Timeline: 1100Hrs - January 13th - 2392

Yamaguchi paused as she couldn't see anyone, however that doesn't mean anything really so she finished stripping off her clothing, the cool breeze felt cold against her warm skin, causing her goosebumps.

"I'm here alone, nude in the water!" Brianna shouted.

Yamaguchi sighed softly as she walked forward. "Where exactly are we on this world Brianna?"

"Nowhere very relevant." Brianna asked. "Why, do you plan on walking back?"

"I might." Yamaguchi responded evenly as she slowly smiled. "I imagine that hike would be deeply fulfilling... and long... I'll have plenty of time to think things over." she paused. "did you bother to bring a suit?"

"Why, you know what I look like." Brianna told her. "Trust me, no one is around. Nobody is around for hundreds of kilometers."

"No... I don't want people seeing what I look like." Yamaguchi responded as she regarded the other woman who looked like she was having fun. Yamaguchi slowly walked forward until her feet were being splashed by the waves. "Are you sure?" she inquired as she slowly walked into the surf.

"Since when have you cared what other people think of what you do?" Brianna asked. "The Celeste I know doesn't give a shit."

Yamaguchi sighed softly but that was before Ro'cholk and what he did to her, she was still working through it and at times she wondered if it was two steps backward and one forward as she regarded a four foot breaker that was rapidly approaching her location, she stood her ground as the wave crashed into her, it didn't matter anyway as she ended up feeling like she was getting sucked back out to sea.

Yamaguchi ended up forty feet out from the coast as she brushed her hair back out of her eyes. "well.. that was new." she muttered to herself while taking a moment to get her bearings.

Yamaguchi turned before she dove under the water and almost disappeared from view as she began swimming before she popped up near Hobbs. "Tell me something.... did you bother checking out what the water was like before you kidnapped me?" she inquired. "riptides.. or extreme weather... that sort of thing." Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "I also believe that there is a Hurricane out there somewhere."

"Yes, I did my research." Brianna replied. "There is no hurricane or typhoon coming. There is no human eating lifeforms in the ocean. The tides are just fine. Enjoy yourself for a change."

Yamaguchi sighed softly. "Enjoy myself with.... What?"

Brianna was starting to get angry. "Celeste, why are you acting defeated? Who is superior?. You or a piece of gagh shit?."

Yamaguchi turned as she caught the dark undertones in Brianna's voice. "I am NOT acting defeated." Celeste's temper fused white hot as her control melted down. "I am Angry at what that bastard did to me... and to you through me!" she yelled loudly. "I hate him... I hate his entire fucking misbegotten race.... I Hate Everything about him!" she screamed at the top of her lungs which seemed to leave her deflated and empty of energy. "I hate what he left me with..." Celeste almost whimpered. "I have no idea of what to do.... so I bury myself in work... except its not working.."

"Did you asked to be raped?" Brianna asked.

Yamaguchi turned her attention back to Hobbs. "No... What kind of a question is that!?" she responded quietly. "Of course I didn't..."

"So you didn't bring this upon yourself. It was thrust upon you. Your not a weak person or a bad person." Brianna told her. "And what about Jackson, you could have aborted him couldn't you have?"

"Thats the trouble... Its not his fault... None of this is..." Celeste responded. "I can't get my revenge on the bastard because someone else killed him... he never paid for what he did to me!" Yamaguchi was half out of her mind by this point. "I wanted my revenge...!"

"Revenge or justice?" Brianna asked.

"Aren't they one and the same?" Yamaguchi inquired.

"No, justice is measured and restrained." Brianna stated. "Revenge is what Shakespeare referred to as a "Wild Justice".

"Y'know my folks would like you." Yamaguchi responded evenly. "They tend to be somewhat unforgiving." she sighed.

"It is a trait that runs in the Yamaguchi family." She told her. "In your case you need to forgive yourself."

Celeste regarded Brianna, a tired look on her face. "I'm not sure of what I did wrong..." she admitted as she regarded Brianna who was clad in naught but her skin. "No... I know what I did wrong..." she paused. "I did NOTHING wrong."

"Good, so stop being so hard on yourself." Brianna replied.

Celeste looked down at the sand. "What did you pack for clothing?" she inquired, she nodded to the decent sized consignment of gear and supplies nearby.

"Umm..." Brianna evaded "That would be nothing."

Celeste raised an eyebrow. "So... we're both going to be naked except for our uniforms for the next ten days?" she sounded almost like she didn't believe it. "I always figured you wanted to get out more... I never quite believed it."

"We are only here for a couple of days." Brianna told Celeste. "then we have reservations at a place up north."

"This is what happens when you write me out of the planning stages of this little escapade." Yamaguchi responded in a dry tone. "So... what am I going to do for the next two days other then pin you and spend time making you moan and groan as I have my way with you."

"While that sounds appealing, no." Brianna replied. "I also have a couple of barbecues planned along with drinks."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. So... no clothes, no sex and no shelter." she looked up at the systems primary. "So what do we do... to pass the time?"

Brianna shook her head. She went back to her clothes and tapped her comm badge. A moment latter a metal skiff come around the corner.

"That has our drinks and food on board." Brianna told her. "Along with a change of clothes and a tent. I didn't want to show you until after you had some fun and relaxed. As now I can see you have no intention of having a good time I guess I'll just bring it out now."

Celeste stood there as she regarded the other woman, she opened her mouth when suddenly a nearby Volcano exploded across the other side of the bay. Yamaguchi shifted her attention in silence to the small Volcano but what she assumed was a massive mountain next to it was in fact something much more terrifying. "Now I have a good time.." Yamaguchi said aloud.

"I brought you out here to enjoy yourself and you do nothing but pout. Then a mountain explodes and spews toxic gas and molten rock into the air and now your happy?" A frustrated Brianna asked.

"Because... Mon Cherie... My father was a Volcanologist while I and my siblings were growing up." Yamaguchi explained before she knelt down, she then gently scooped up a fistful of the black sand. "Yeah..." she muttered to herself. "Oh.... Those stupid fools... Surely there must have been signs.." as she stood up again. "Brianna.... did anyone do a geologic report on this area?"

Brianna gave Celeste a confused look. "How the hell should I know? Do I like an egghead?"

Yamaguchi glowered at her girlfriend. "Could I have my combadge back?" she inquired. "We need to call this in.." she explained. "I don't know how powerful that vent was... and that." she indicated the second, much more massive mountain. "Is that Volcano active..... or just a large mountain?" she raised an eyebrow as if she had just said something provocative and demanded an immediate response.

Brianna picked up the comm badge and threw it at Celeste. "Only you could find work on a deserted island."

Celeste tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Dreamcrusher.?"

"McKnight... Celeste, I assume your efforts-"

"I'm fine Daniel. I need you to send down a science team to check out a Volcano... about ten to fourteen miles north of my location, its just exploded."

"Okay, Dreamcrushers finest are on it... We'll look at it and advise you further..."

"I understand. Yamaguchi out." Yamaguchi softly smiled, it was something that looked odd on her face of late as she tapped her combadge before handing it back to Brianna, she then sat down in the sand as she settled in to watch the Volcano erupt.

"Think we should put some clothes on since we are about to get company?" Hobbs asked.

"No." Yamaguchi responded. "I intend to sit here and do as little as possible while watching the Volcano do his thing." as she gently pulled Brianna to her. "You're the one who keeps telling me to relax and sit down." she peered at the Volcano. "You can relax... the wind is blowing away from us... so we'll get a show... and little else." she let out the breathe she was holding. "For now at least."

"Your my fiancee and yet I still don't understand you." Brianna told Celeste.

"There are days when I don't understand myself..." Yamaguchi admitted. "I've had a lot of those recently.." she sighed softly

Brianna looked on at Celeste and sighed. Despite being an officer that commanded a regiment of marines she felt weak and helpless when it came to supporting Celeste. She just looked on and said nothing.

Yamaguchi regarded the other woman. "I'll have to reward my staff for... considering such extreme measures." she admitted as she began to relax.

"They care about you." Brianna told her. "That's why they schemed together."

"I'll.. thank them later for their efforts.." Yamaguchi responded softly.
