Mission:
Mission 54: Where Snow Meets Sky
Location: Wardroom - Starbase 12
Timeline: 0900Hrs - December 9th, 2391
Fleet Admiral April Yamaguchi walked into the Starbase Wardroom, as she entered everyone in the room wearing the uniform lept to their feet. "Relax guys... I'm not that bothered by the regs.." she explained as she went over to the large wall monitor at the end of the room. "Bajor is threatening to cause problems for the Federation in regards to various issues... the main cause of these problems is this system... the Niven system. Its a Binary system with two main sequence stars, also it has twenty planets orbiting in all, some around either world and some around both." April explained briefly. "The main bane of contention of a joint colony between the Bajorans and the people of Betazed, Its jointly run... and the Bajorans are accusing the Betazed side of basically screwing with them... so the Bajorans have redirected their assets from this world and have set up two smaller colonies on other planets in the system."
April paused a moment to allow all of that to sink in before she proceeded. "Alright... your main orders is to go there and sort out this festering stinking shitpile once and for all.... Your secondary objective... should you decide to accept it... is to find out what caused this to get so badly out of control in the first place and deal with it." she paused. "I have my guys working double time to see to it that your battlegroup, Commodore Tane, is prepped and ready to leave as soon as possible... Alright... Questions.?"
Nevanzi looked over his ship roster, reporting, "Well I can spare six ships, two heavy cruisers, a large cruiser, and three fleet escorts."
April Yamaguchi smiled. "We welcome your assistance with this." she responded.
Torilla Yamaguchi raised a hand as April nodded. "Torilla?"
"Are there any pirates or other things we get to shoot at?" Torilla responded.
"Not at present but... do keep your eyes open... just in case." April responded. "Alrighty then..." she regarded the audience. "Anyone else?"
"Are polywater incidents warranted? Cause I'm thinking this planet may benefit from it," Zara asked off-handedly from her VIP couch.
April raised an eyebrow as she ran her right hand gently over her abdomen. "Considering what happened the last time... I would recommend you avoid it." as she smiled. "This was one that came to the front of the line because of people bickering..."
Teval shook his head in mild annoyance, "What a Zara question."
"Yes.... Like I said.... My argument with the other guy was something my body is still paying for." April responded in a deadpan tone. "Now... Any other questions?"
"Am I at least allowed to get them drunk?" Zara asked.
April Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "Alright.... You guys ship out tomorrow morning..." she smiled.
Teval gave Zara a look, while Zuko mentioned," How long before we get all our destroyers back, since all of them have been either damaged or destroyed."
"You'll be getting those back incrementally over the course of your mission... For now... you have none but we're building new ships to replace what you lost and you are first on the list... Torilla. try not to trash these ones please?"
Torilla meanwhile had turned a shade of deep chocolate brown. "Umm.... shutup!" she muttered, she wanted to die of shame.
Teval, Zuko and several others gave Torilla a puzzled look, then looked at April, but no one really said anything.
