Mission: Mission 51: Warchild
Location: Various Locations - USS Courageous / USS Tranquility
Timeline: 0930Hrs - November 21st. 2391

Rear Admiral Jake Yamaguchi had just got home after he dropped the children off at daycare when the com system beeped at him. Jake went over to the wall monitor, he gently tapped the display.

"Yamaguchi, Two Four Eight Alpha Delta." he said aloud as the image resolved into the picture of Commodore Lil'yanna Olmos. "Commodore." Jake addressed the older woman. "Whats up?"

"You're sitting down, right?" Olmos asked gently. She looked like she had been through the ringer, considering the day she had.

Jake regarded the older woman. "Well I just got back from dropping the kids off and now I'm going to read some paperwork..." he responded. "You look like a week from retirement?." he narrowed his eyes. "What happened to you?"

"Secret Service declared war on what they deemed with 'Dangerous' persons aboard Roanoke," Olmos spoke with a frown. "They tried to forcibly remove Nalla from duty and ended causing a blue on blue... Lots of people were hurt. Mostly medics. One even died."

"Oh fucking hell." Jake responded with a loud snarl. "Are these people fucking stupid... or are they just trying to piss us off!" he added, also out of character for him. "Who got killed?" he asked softly.

"An Andorian nurse died. We think, trying to get to Nalla to protect her," Olmos spoke with great remorse. "Commander Benice and her girlfriend were the worst of wear. Both have at least a couple more surgeries before they'll be ready for rehab."

Jake nodded as he sighed. "All because some Ambassador had to be an ass.." he growled. "Whats the rest of it....?" as he realized she was looking at him intently.

"The Ambassador is not the issue. Far from it. She never knew her guys had egos because no one reported it to her," Olmos corrected. "The rest of it, however, is... well..."

Olmos took a moment to catch her thoughts before she sighed and spoke sympathetically, "Nalla is pregnant... with your kid."

Jake regarded her. "Wait... What?" he inquired. "How is Nalla Furban pregnant with my child..." he paused as it all hit him at once. "The Pineapple incident.." he muttered softly. "and she didn't know... did she?"

"No... she was also hit with three stunners at close-range. Brain's a bit scrambled for the next few days, on top of the fact she came in tactile contact with one of those gratish," Olmos explained as she swore in her native tongue.

Jake twitched as he sighed. "I will kill them for their disrespect." he growled. "I will make them suffer.."

"Take a few deep breaths," Olmos asked as she began to figure out what was off with Jake. "Nalla is a very special woman. Fragile, but brave. She stood her ground, from what I was told."

Jake sighed softly. "Nalla is unique." he responded. "I need to tell Torilla about this... I have no idea how she'll take it." he sighed as he slowly stood up. "I'd best go Lil'yanna... I need to talk to Torilla.... The sooner I explain things to her.. the better off it will be."

While they spoke Jake was typing something onto a PADD before he tapped 'send'. The response came back moments later. 'See you in the lounge in five - Torilla."

"Yeah... I gotta go." Jake added a moment later before he got off of the com with Olmos. His day that had started so well had now gone to the dogs. He snarled softly. "Fucking idiots..." and with that he went out the door to see his wife.

"I understand. I'll try to keep you apprised of what Nalla decides she wants," Olmos promised with much sympathy. "And when you're ever in the neighborhood, I can try to help you sort and sift through all the memories and personalities you've absorbed, if you like."

Jake regarded Olmos. "I'd welcome it.... Anyway... I've got to go.." and with that he sighed. "Yamaguchi out." and with that he closed the comline before he pulled on his boots before heading out the door.
