The Surprise Replacements

Mission: Mission 46: Picking up the pieces
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 0800Hrs - November 3rd, 2391

Captain Sir Bruce Fraser was wearing civilian attire instead of his duty uniform with a Marine jacket over the stop of a shirt and a pair of jeans with heavy duty hiking boots.

"Umm.. you are out of uniform." Tom Winters almost barked at his new CO, the surprise being so total.

"Yeah well... what can I say.. I find the confines of uniform too stifling."

"That is against regulations... Regulation Fourteen, paragraph eleven, sub paragraph five, section three stipulates that one must be in uniform when meeting their new boss."

"Yeah... sure." Fraser sighed.

Commander Daniel McKnight regarded the two men. "Mornings gents... what are you here for?" he asked out of confusion as he regarded Fraser.

"I am here because apparently you no longer have a Marine Commander."

"Oh... Lovely." Fraser responded as he tapped the ready room door buzzer.

Zuko gave his pet snow leopard cub an ear rub, then said. "guy's in all honesty, I could care less about the uniform on this ship. Its not like I wear a uniform, so I am not going to demand that you all do something that I don't."

Fraser raised an eyebrow. "Thats not what I was expecting in all honesty.."

"You are out of uniform!" the second Lieutenant almost complained. "You are reporting in and you are-"

"Oh stick a sock in it already. will ya?" Fraser responded in a dry tone.
"In any case.. can I blow this guy out a torpedo tube?" Fraser indicated the man in uniform.

Zuko gave Tom winters a look," Hey butterbar, as far as i am concerned, I dont give a shit if someone isnt in a uniform on this ship, so put a sock in it."

"Ahem." Winters responded. "The regulations require that I point out the issues in others.." he responded bluntly.

"Y'know... I like you." Fraser responded. "I heard you like computer games."

"Indeed. I do yes." Winters responded. "There isn't a strategy game thats ever been made that I have not cracked... except one but I can't find a copy of it."

"Oh... which game?"

"Command and Conquer... its an old one from several centuries back... I can't get a copy."

"I see." Fraser responded. "So let me get this right... You are a computer wizard who went general infantry except you like to blow shit up."

"Precisely right, yes."

"Lovely... Just what I always wanted... a nutcase for my Exec." Fraser sighed.
