Early morning surprise!

Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 0630Hrs - June 7th, 2391

=/\= "Commander Yamaguchi, sorry to disturb you this early in the morning Doctor." =/\= The third shift medical officer spoke.

Yamaguchi moaned softly as she tapped her combadge. "Go ahead.." she mumbled softly. "What is it?"

=/\= "Yes, Doctor. The computer alerted us to a possible medical emergency in Sergeant Major Hobb's quarters. There was screaming plus her blood pressure and heart rate went from sedentary to rapid. I dispatched a medical tech response team to her quarters." =/\= the voice stated.

Yamaguchi was now fully awake as she threw off the covers. "I'm on my way now." and with that she sighed softly, picking up her uniform up off of the deck, she began to get dressed.

She came out of her bedroom, medkit in hand as she noticed the twins eating breakfast in silence. "Oh hey mom... you okay?"

"Work is calling me." Celeste answered with a smile as she replicated a glass of milk and a doughnut, after quickly devouring both, she rushed out the door and down the hall.

She reached her destination, arriving about five seconds after the med tech team who was presently trying to elicit a response from inside.
"Anything?" Celeste asked

"Nadda sir.."

"Alright... lets do this..." she tapped the override. "Computer open this door, medical authorization, Yamaguchi Two Two Juliet Bravo."

The door slid open as the medics went inside. "Brianna!" Celeste called. "You in here!?"

"Um...yeah." Came a tepid response from the back of the room. Brianna was sitting on her bed. She was in uniform sans boots. Her boots lay on the floor, covered in slithering and writhing worm like creatures.

Celeste's eyes opened wide. "Jenkins, take a sample." she said quietly as she moved aside, letting one of the three medics who were with her, to proceed with his work. "Where the hell did these things come from?"

"I don't know." Brianna replied. "I was trying to put my boots on when I felt those things moving around on my feet and then they started to bite. I screamed and threw by boots across the room."

"Alright... pack a bag, you're coming home with me.." Celeste responded. "Computer, I'm declaring a Biohazard in these quarters." she explained quickly. "Sickbay?"

"Lieutenant Sonia Neville here sir"

"Send a clean team to Sergeant Major Hobbs Quarters, I'm declaring a biohazard in these quarters, somehow a bunch of worms or wormlike things got loose in here... I don't know how.."

"Understood sir, clean team is enroute."

"Thank you." Celeste commented. "Go pack.." she turned to Hobbs.

"Your declaring my quarters a biohazard zone? Isn't that a little extreme?" Brianna asked.

"Nope." Celeste responded quietly. "For me not to declare a biohazard would result in me being considered incompetent," she explained. "I have to be sure that these... wormlike things... are not elsewhere as well." she paused

The Medtech tapped Celeste on the shoulder. "Sir... I have the samples you requested. A couple of the worms as well as some of the slime."

"Good, take it down to the lab, run it through every test in the book." Yamaguchi commented before she turned her attention back to Hobbs.
"Alright guys... wait for the clean team then sanitize every square inch of this place..." she explained. "Brianna.. time to go."

Hobbs groaned loudly. "Alright then, maybe I can take a shower at your place?"

"Thats fine by me... but you might walk in on Pva while she's taking a shower" she joked, before she added. "You think Pasha would walk in on you?"

"No, I guess not." Brianna replied with a long face. "I need to go see the quartermaster about a new set of boots. I'll go on duty after that."

"Okay... Well go pack a bag... I'll replicate you a new set of boots." Celeste commented as she moved over to the replicator, before ordering a new set of boots tailored to the Sergeant Major's feet.

"How long am I going to be shut out of my quarters?" Hobbs asked.

"No idea..." Celeste's answer was as blunt as it was honest. "I need to know what I'm dealing with here.... if I don't declare and these guys pop up elsewhere then its my ass." she shrugged. "I'd rather have you stay with me, you know where everything is... So long as the twins behave that is..." she slowly smiled. "Pava has an interest in the Marines, maybe... you could assist her with things?"

"Alright, when I get off duty I'll have a talk with her." Brianna told her. "I need to go on duty soon. Gonna be a rough day."

"Considering what these things might have done... yes." Celeste responded. "I'll wait for you outside, and when you come out, I'll take your bag home with me...."

"Thanks Celeste, I want to get to work and forget about what happened here for a while." Hobbs told the Doctor.

"Thats fine with me. I'll take your bag... and I'll have a decent dinner ready when you get back to my place.... I'm going to put the twins to work on their weapons... since they both requested I train them as Blacksmiths.." she paused. "Its something of a dying art... but they both love it."

Brianna laughed "I hope they stop hammering at a decent hour."

Yamaguchi smiled. "They will... Besides.. It could always be worse.." and with that, she let out a soft chuckle.
